Penelope Cruz Circles Her Critics
Penelope Cruz glows at the 2008 New York Film Critic’s Circle Awards at Strata on Monday in New York City.
The 34-year-old actress won for Best Supporting Actress in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Also, Sean Penn’s Milk earned three awards at the New York Film Critics Circle, including Best Actor for him, Best Supporting Actor for co-star Josh Brolin, and Best Picture.

Penelope is one of the most gorgeous-looking women of today. Her body of work is simply impressive as well. I’m glad she is now recognized as a serious actress. She was nominated in last year’s Oscar’s for best actress for her jaw-dropping performance in “Volver”. She deserves her New York Critic’s Award for her stunning portrayal as Maria Elena in VCB.
