OlderBrad Pitt Denies Angelina Jolie Affair
Brad Pitt proudly proclaims that his partner Angelina Jolie is NOT a homewrecker. Here’s what the 45-year-old Curious Case of Benjamin Button star had to say in W Magazine’s February A-list issue::
On the public’s misinterpretation of his and Angie’s “affair”:“What people don’t understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful. [The film] will mean something to our kids. It will, that’s all.”
On Aniston’s recent comment that it was “uncool” for Angie to openly state that she and Brad fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith: “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created.”
On his current relationship with Jennifer Aniston: “We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”
On photographing Angie for W magazine’s November 2008 photo spread: “We have fun working together; these things bring you closer. And let me tell you, it’s really sexy to see your loved one through the lens. I went much further [than the cover shot of Jolie breast-feeding]. I didn’t show those.”
On what motivated his request for photographer Chuck Close, who uses a technique called Daguerrotype that captures every fine line and flaw: “[to not have to be] the guy coming out of the ocean water with his T-shirt wet, even though I’ve done that, too, but have always walked away feeling a little crap about it.”
On how family life has changed him: “I quit smoking. That was the only thing that got me to quit. That was it. Done.”
On gay marriage rights: “People who are against gay marriage do not understand the very freedoms that they themselves are enjoying. What if someone said, ‘Sorry, no Christianity here? No Judaism. Certainly no Mormons.’ No one would stand for that, and I wouldn’t allow anyone to say that either. I’d fight them in the same way.”

Look I call my X sweetheart too..and believe me he knows what I mean by that! Way too much over analyzing, Brad said what he had to say and that’s that! He’s always called Jen a sweetheart so why should he stop now? Why should he belittle who he is by saying nasty things about Jennifer. Jennifer knows exactly what Brad thinks of her! Everyone is huffing and puffing and for what??? I am pretty sure that Angie knew exactly what was said before that interview came out….they are actors, that is what they do best. How best to keep the media interested than to give bits and pieces of a little drama here and there. Brad and Angie knows how to do it with style that’s all. Remeber he said that he is a “zen master” been in the business for 20 years now…so what do you expect? I can imagine the enjoyment they get from this. I wouldn’t worry about them at all, Angie is a big girl, ain’t know way she is sitting around crying about this. But our “sweetheart” now that’s someone you should worry about!

True. That “sweetheart” didn’t look very happy. She has been very quiet lately. You wonder why?

From E!… what did I tell ya? Angie dumped him she wasn’t even in town with him… Hope she announces it sooner rather than later.
The triangle has to be kept alive.
BP has made his position clear; the X is a simpleton who doesn’t know any better that’s what he basically said. She’s so naive and easily led it was the press that did this to her. I’m sure on some level BP knows her agency CAA advised her to. But he is happy, has everything he ever wanted and more so why wouldn’t he be magnanimous the triangle is not part of his life, he is simply living it and appears fulfilled. The X on the other hand doesn’t appear to be she needs to do whatever it takes to keep the triangle alive whilst looking as if she doesn’t care. Some of her fans go on boards and say the most ridiculous things and it’s obvious they are playing out their own disappointment through the X. Rather than resolve their problems and move on as a wiser being they prefer to wallow in their negativity because not to do so would mean taking responsibility for their own actions which is far too difficult for them hence they relate to the X. The X’s PR firm manipulate this wallowing self-pity of X’s fans and find new and wonderous ways of playing out the triangle to keep the X in the public eye. Now that BP has broken it they will have to try and find a new angle. It’s so sad that X’s fans are so full of childish rage unable to take responsibility for themselves and prefer to play out inane scenarios of boo hoo look what he did to me as opposed to some of AJ’s fans; I’ll pick myself up and learn from this attitude . The X’s main loss is one of prestige and status nothing more. Tate Donovan said she was way to ambitious. If the X wants to do quality work she will need to study her craft…instead she appears to have no interest in that just pure ambition to remain in the limelight, she takes on progressively more inane roles that have a sitcom feel to them rather than a role where she can lose herself and become someone else which is the essence of all good actors.

With all due respect there are lots of people in Angelina’s corner but fans and non fans love just love to go on and on and on about Aniston.
Ron Howard and Clint Eastwood did a director’s roundtable and they both spoke about how amazing Angelina is as an actress and person. Of course Mr Eastwood talked about how beautiful she is. But did Angelina’s fans go on and on about that . NO. Angelina has been getting nomination after nomination for Changling. Do her fans go on and on about that. NO. I read more great things about Angelina on film and Oscars sites than I do on this and gossip sites. You people love to read and talk about Aniston. Not about Angelina accomplishments. Even that Ashley Banks does not post about Angelina is only about the negative. There was a story posted on JJB Mega 3 about how Angelina cover in W inspired a young lady. Only a couple of people responded to those stories. But bring up Aniston and posts go on for days.
Even in the W interview by Brad, the writer talks about how Brad is on the top of his game and a good reason is Angelina. Did fans go on and on about that. NO. Angelina gets alot more respect than you think but if you live to read what Aniston you won’t be able to see it.

For me — it’s about THIS: Little by little I feel her character, her good works, her AMAZING accomplishments especially in philanthropy after having started off sterling - and having evolved into an amazing Mom and Global Humanitarian is being taken over by Brad’s domestic drama. That’s what I fear eventually will happen. With enough time, and a few more snide, snarky articles about her character - she’ll be reduced to her former shell…at least the perception of who she is will be.

Hi Cliniqua, you are a real Angelina fan. I have been young and now am old and I have never seen evil triumph over good. It only looks like it at times. All this domestic drama will fade very soon. (no one cares about the over 40 demographic in this country; in a minute that will be x’s fate, its already mine lol) Angie has helped a lot of people who pray for her daily because of the good she’s done. Angie is only dissed by shallow gossips, you yourself have said how many important people respect her. The internet is big, but its not the whole world, there are many people who know nothing except the good about Angie. People that never read gossip. I always read your posts, don’t give up hope. Like Bob Marley said who “Jah bless no one can curse” OK sometimes it looks like the bad guys are winning :) but that’s when you have to dig deep and know that its not possible!!! If her (x) fans are in her age group they will disappear sooner just because hating is not good for the health, you will see just how much 40 is not the new 30 lol when she is forgotten by the same snarky gossips, who will soon be gossiping about Angie’s kids :)

Um, you don’t get it….Brad is amazing, admirable and doing great things - Maniston is proud of him, Jen’s a sweetheart and not responsbile for her actions - you can’t blame Jen…or another way to look at it, is that Jen’s done nothing wrong. In my opinion..this can ONLY be rectified if, after reading the GQ interview where she said even worse, (making him look a COMPETE doofus, or insensitive to Angelina…maybe that chip statement is actually pretty accurate) he comes out and says it was unfortunate, and that to make Angelina the bad guy is wrong-headed - THEN he can declare he’s done with the whole mess and won’t EVER be entertaining questions about it again.

That’s the only thing at this point that can clear this mess up for me. I will still be waiting around to see them, and I still wish Angelina all the happiness in the world, I just feel that somehow there’s been a shift for me, BW & AW — ‘Before W,’ with the JPs and ‘After W,’ — and ‘After W’ is not nearly as great.

If Aniston makes more snides remarks without talking about Brad calling his marriage a deadend and saying having a baby with Angelina was natual than I think Aniston will be called out for obsessing over Angelina. Those remarks by Brad should have been a million times more hurtful than anything Angelina has said or done. There was already a small negative reaction to Aniston’s whining. I think the reaction will be bigger if she does it again without calling out Brad.
I think Brad has put the sweetheart in a box. Be a strong independent woman whose divorce feels like a 100 years ago or a scorned woman who can’t get over Brad leaving her.

Well said, everything I know about the x I learned here. I never saw her show and had only seen her and Brad on Oprah once by chance, I rarely watch Oprah and when she forgot to thank him I was watching again by chance as I don’t really have the patience to watch award shows. I knew they would break up but who knew anyone cared. My grandchildren are Angie fans and we have watched Angie on CNN with Anderson Cooper together and they have paid attention, they do not know who the x is. A lot of people don’t, and never will.
