Looking ever the Hollywood couple, Angelina Jolie and longtime love Brad Pitt heat up the red carpet at VH1’s 2009 Critics’ Choice Awards held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on January 8 (Thursday) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Angie’s Changeling is up for the noms while Brad’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is up for eight.
UPDATE: Angie had tears in her eyes when the late Heath Ledger won for Best Supporting Actor for The Dark Knight. She and Brad were also seen leaving their table to greet Changeling director Clint Eastwood and his wife Dina at their own table.

If AJ let every arm chair critic tell her what roles she can take on, then she would be struck in lame romantic comedies or third billings to a dog. You can never let your life be determined by others with agendas or envy. AJ has taken on some challenging roles as well as action roles in her career. Her life and career are not defined by rags or awards pundits who are paid or given favors to lie and smear. It is a sad person that let others determine your fate. If BP listen to the whiny hens, then he would be stuck in a dead-end marriage waiting on Whiny to finish tanning. Forget having 6 beautiful children and a beautiful devoted partner. Get a clue will ya. All this angst and drama are only good for ranting on a blog. It is not a reflection of real life. At the end of the day, AJ goes home to 6 adorable children, a Partner who is totally besotted with her and a big pay day. She is committed to her UN work and has been a UN Ambassador since 2001. Long before BP and when she was trying to find herself in her twenties. I dare say she will be alright.

Box office mojo has BB as # 1 also. That is good going into the weekend. That dreadful Brides war is coming out and given the taste of the American public it will probably be number 1. That probably explains Huvane PR 101 deflection stragety also. Make Chipmunk girl the victim so that the hens can flock to the critically panned Brides War. Too funny. BB should come close to a 100 million by the weekend.

Angelina Jolie says she’ll work ‘a lot less’

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — Angelina Jolie is getting ready to join the ranks of the unemployed.
The “Changeling” star and mother of six says that while she’ll be in front of the camera early this year, she plans to lie low — at least until twins Vivienne and Knox are toddlers. The twins were born last July.
Says Jolie: “I’ve had a year off, and I may work for a few months. But if I do, I’m probably going to take another year and a half or two. I’m going to work a lot less.”
The 33-year-old actress didn’t say what projects she may be working on.

The trolls don’t get it. They don’t realize that they are the ones that make Brad and Angie so popular. We have yet to have a full day since the pictures have been up, and look at all the comments. Over 500 comments for someone they hate. Its probably the same on other sites. People just can’t enough of THE JOLIE. They say they hate her or she’s overrated, and still they use her as the gold standard. If someone else wins an award its not that person’s award, its THE JOLIE that lost the award. If someone is seen as beautiful, they can’t be beautiful on their own, they have to be more beautiful than the JOLIE. It never ends.

Excellent post. What’s so ironic is that Brad has always caused a frenzy on his own. And he probably thought he’d never have to contend with a partner with higher level of popularity than his own. Critics said Brad would never be able to handle that - ego IS a btich. BUT…they’re wrong. Brad seems more than happy to step away on the RC and let Angie shine. He did it at NYFF, Beowulf in both LA and London, Cannes 2 years running, and now at the 2009 CCAs. In his mind he’s saying to himself, “That’s right, baby…WORK IT! You people can LOOK all you want, but that fine ass goes home with ME!” And even the fact that Brad does that drives the haters & trolls batshit crazy and causes them to declare there’s trouble…that only THEY can see.

Holy Guacamole! People are talking about the unflattering picture of Jen Aniston caught mid-workout running that’s currently on US magazine’s cover (’Stay thin, like Jen’). Has it gotten so bad that insecure women will have to wear a Burkha to shed a few pounds from middle-aged spread and the holidays? Have some pity fellas! Let the lady finish, then take the picture. It’s absolutely HILARIOUS that trolls are feeling exultant that Anne and Meryl won over Angie. That would show us fans that X is soooooo much a better actor than Angie ever will be and that X is soooooo much better looking, yadayadayada. HA!!!! X was probably lounging on the beach getting sprayed on by her boytoy, trying to not eat her way out of her hurt knowing that her days on the red carpet are probably over, and if she will ever be on it, it will be to present an award to someone else. hahahaha!

don’t feel bad for angie and brad. if the trolls are attacking angie and brad for losing they are attacking other nominees that were lost as well. brangelina didn’t lose like jason alexander said. they went home with each other. also, they got more nominations and their works got lots of recognition than any other years. they already won.
