I feel sorry for Jennifer Garner, since Alias was canceled because of abysmal ratings, all she’s been able to get is supporting roles in movies that have tanked at the box office, Forbes named her the most overpaid movie star who never makes a profit for the stuidos. Her acting career has never really taken off, she reminds me of Denise Richards pimping her children, because that is the only way she can stay famous.

Adore this family, they are not pimping their child, they are not asking the paps to follow them around in fact would love it if they didn’t. Because they are both popular and together, the public wants to see them, so all these websites clamor to buy the pics from the paps. The paps know that so hound them even more than other celebs. They are the paps meal ticket, but did not ask to be. Can’t wait to see the new babe and hear her name……….see its people like me that keep them in the paps sights……….but I can’t help myself……….love them together, since Daredevil

And the delay in releasing baby #2’s name is meant to “kill” you; they are drawing it out for the maximum amount of publicity.

And see how normally Violet behaves in front of the paps without her mommy there to try to make it a photo op (you know, like with a kiss or something equally silly)? Now maybe you understand Suri’s entirely normal reaction to the paps a little better?

You can look at the expression on Ben’s face and see that they are both being effected by the flash. Ever seen a video of the paps taking a photo of a celeb? There are so many flashes going off that they can barely see. They are videos of Ben and Jen, with Ben saying that he can’t see because of the flash.

Why should they release the name? So that people who call Violet names can make fun of the new baby? When Casey and his wife had their new baby, the name wasn’t known for 6-8 months.

Anyone who thinks that Ben and Jen will release photos to People/ok/ etc. are crazy. Just not going to happen. Not everyone has to do that. Matt Damon didn’t do pictures of his kid for mags, nor Hally Berry, and a ton more. Does’t mean that they coulnd’t have had a deal if they wan’t, but they just choose to try and keep that private.

Sure I would like to know the name, but is it information I HAVE to have? NO. Besides the way everyone trashes a 3 year old child, if I were a celeb. parent, I would release the name either.

I agree with #31/Shawna. Chase Milan is sooooo not Jennifer. lol I would be impressed though if she did name her daughter that. I expect an ultra-tranditional name from Jennifer. Anyway, the birth certificate will get filed; it’s public record so it doesn’t matter if the Afflecks “release” the name. And we’ll hear from Ben how great his family is since he has a movie opening early next month.

I’m confused as to why Victor Garber is always gushing to the press about Jennifer. Does he approach them or does the media call him up? I loved him on Alias but all his gushing is getting annoying. He acts like Jennifer invented spending time with your kids.

This is a great family! I think it is so sweet that Victor Garber is involved in their lives, and I think Chase is a pretty, albeit unexpected, choice…if that’s what it is.

Where did everyone get the name “Chase”? Who are these “sources”. I haven’t seen anything about the name at all. They probably want to go Casey’s route and not release it at all. It really isnt anybody’s business, I agree.

By the way #37 Someone, Victor Garber is probably called up by magazines to get quotes since he is very close to the family and he isnt afraid of talking to the press (although maybe too much–remember he let everybody know she was pregnant!)

You shouldn’t post pictures of a minor child of celeb parents, when the parents are not present. IMHO.

I, too, would be very surprised if the name is Chase Milan. Unless by chance they are family names of great grandparents or something like that. That name just doesn’t seem to fit the them.

Does it surprise anyone else that Affleck appears to be a good father?

At least A-hole didn’t flip the bird this time. I just love the picture where he flips the bird to the paps while holding his child…yep heck of a dad. Yep he is so down to earth that he left his wife preggers and went to the congo a war torn country to make a six minute short movie…yeah it’s all about the career and image. Caroline? Ick. Oh, well. She’s sure to be a cutie pie. I just don’t know why they won’t officially release it. There is speculation out there that they thought they were having a boy. If you have a boy’s name picked but no girl’s name, that would explain the delay.

I hope Jennifer’s o.k. Victor Garber said this birth was easier. If so, why is she still in the hospital unless she had a c-section. Gosh, I hope everything is o.k.

She’s not in hospital, she’s at home. You haven’t seen pictures because Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck know how to avoid the paparazzi when they want to. When Jennifer went for her check ups the paparazzi were always taking pictures because they were tipped off by her manager but when Jennifer wanted privacy to have the baby and leave the hospital she managed to do so without the paparazzi taking pictures.

They knew they were having a girl and they had a name already picked out, they are just playing the media games all the celebrities play trying to get more attention by keeping it secret.

Ben wanted a boy! like most of their fans he’s happy the baby is healthy and everything but disappointed it was a girl not a boy.

How do you guys know that “ben is disappointed it wasn’t a boy”. Has he ever said that he would be disappointed in having a girl?

As far as Ben leaving Jen to go to the Congo. I am sure across this country there are men with pregnant wives that have to go to work, travel and sometimes out of the country.

My own father was out of the country fighting in a war when I was born, and he volunteered as they needed medical personell. Does that make him a “bad father”? No.

They knew the due date, and knew when Ben would be gone and when he would be back. Just because he went doesn’t make him a bad father or husband.

As far as tipping the paps off. Sure, because that is what ever pregnant mother in the last few weeks of pregnancy wants as she is heading into the doctors office for a check up, with no makeup on, and wet hair. Yes, please paps come take my picture. RIGHT!

Now, if she was dressed to the nines like Victoria Beckham, then you would have a case with the whole “call the paps” thing. Just not buying it.

True enough - have just this minute heard the new baby will be called “Magenta Rose”. How flowery is that !!! Apparently the name “Chase Milan” was deliberately leaked, to avoid their final choice name being released so early.

It’s easy to tell that Jen and Ben are playing the media game. How did Jen manage to avoid the paps when she went in to give birth (and left, since I doubt she’s still in hospital at this point)? She was even smiling at the paps when they got her going to Cedars Sinai shortly before giving birth, these b*tches never met a camera they didn’t like, and if they have to pimp their daughters out for more attention (which they do), then they will (and have).
