Violet Affleck: Open Sesame!
Violet Affleck pushes open the door while getting picked up from school by her dad, Ben Affleck on Friday in Santa Monica, Calif.
The 3-year-old was also a bit shy as she covered her eyes at one point.
After the birth of Jen and Ben’s second daughter on Tuesday, Violet must be getting ready to be a big sister at home!
Former Alias co-star and family friend Victor Garber recently reported, “I talked to her and she’s doing great! I just marvel at how they’re being brought up. What a wonderful mother Jennifer is, and what a joy it is to be around that family.”

“Spoilt” is the correct term in other English-speaking countries (you know, like the UK, Australia), ignoramous. I bet you are Violet’s Auntie; you certainly share her mommy’s stupidity.
And the delay in releasing baby #2’s name is meant to “kill” you; they are drawing it out for the maximum amount of publicity.
And see how normally Violet behaves in front of the paps without her mommy there to try to make it a photo op (you know, like with a kiss or something equally silly)? Now maybe you understand Suri’s entirely normal reaction to the paps a little better?
It was leaked the other day from sources that the name is Chase Milan Garner Afleck!

Actually, both forms are correct. According to Oxford’s:

That said, I don’t see how Violet fits the description. She doesn’t look like a spoilt child at all.
No way would they name a baby Chase Milan after naming her sister Violet Anne. Anyone who believes that is an idiot.
Lovely little girl, lovely family, now leave them be to enjoy this new time in their lives. Darling Violet doesnt papz at school. I hear LA is going to pass a law against it soon.

You can look at the expression on Ben’s face and see that they are both being effected by the flash. Ever seen a video of the paps taking a photo of a celeb? There are so many flashes going off that they can barely see. They are videos of Ben and Jen, with Ben saying that he can’t see because of the flash.
Why should they release the name? So that people who call Violet names can make fun of the new baby? When Casey and his wife had their new baby, the name wasn’t known for 6-8 months.
Anyone who thinks that Ben and Jen will release photos to People/ok/ etc. are crazy. Just not going to happen. Not everyone has to do that. Matt Damon didn’t do pictures of his kid for mags, nor Hally Berry, and a ton more. Does’t mean that they coulnd’t have had a deal if they wan’t, but they just choose to try and keep that private.
Sure I would like to know the name, but is it information I HAVE to have? NO. Besides the way everyone trashes a 3 year old child, if I were a celeb. parent, I would release the name either.
It is one thing to say things about a celeb. but about a child, not cool. Same as there were pics of Violet this week at a park with her Nanny, w/o either Ben or Jen. The paps should not be taking pics of a minor child w/o their parents. Again, not cool………..borders on dangerous. Thanks to JJ for not posting them.
I agree with #31/Shawna. Chase Milan is sooooo not Jennifer. lol I would be impressed though if she did name her daughter that. I expect an ultra-tranditional name from Jennifer. Anyway, the birth certificate will get filed; it’s public record so it doesn’t matter if the Afflecks “release” the name. And we’ll hear from Ben how great his family is since he has a movie opening early next month.
I’m confused as to why Victor Garber is always gushing to the press about Jennifer. Does he approach them or does the media call him up? I loved him on Alias but all his gushing is getting annoying. He acts like Jennifer invented spending time with your kids.

I love this couple they are like Jolie & Pitt! Gardner & Affleck are the second Hollywood Royals. Can’t wait to see the beautiful little sister for Violet. I know Violet is thrilled, she is the happiest little girl I have ever seen, always smiling.
Where did everyone get the name “Chase”? Who are these “sources”. I haven’t seen anything about the name at all. They probably want to go Casey’s route and not release it at all. It really isnt anybody’s business, I agree.
By the way #37 Someone, Victor Garber is probably called up by magazines to get quotes since he is very close to the family and he isnt afraid of talking to the press (although maybe too much–remember he let everybody know she was pregnant!)

I agree with you Ben/Jen fan …everything you wrote is true. And I wish people would stop making fun of Jennifer and Ben just because they carry Violet. If there were paps, who are strangers to Violet, taking pics of my kid all the time, I would want to protect her, too. I’ve seen videos of papparazzi and they scare me! Can you imagine what it does to a little 3 year old?
I hope this lovely family stays together forever, they are so well-suited to one another. Ben looks like a big Poppa Bear with his cub.
