Angelina Jolie, nominated for her role as a mother who is judged crazy in pursuit of her child in “Changeling,” talked about her director Clint Eastwood, who doesn’t have much of a presence tonight at the Golden Globes, but is likely to have a big footprint in the Oscar race with the surging “Gran Torino.”

“He is an unbelievable director who has shown many people, including me, what you can do in this business,: she said. “He deserves every bit of recognition he has gotten, in part because he is not just good at what he does, but is such a superfun person to work with.”

Nearby, Brad Pitt, nominated for his role in “The Curious Case Benjamin Button” had no complaints. “How could I? There are a lot of people who deserve to be here and aren’t, like Benicio del Toro in ‘Che.’ We are lucky to be here, so why not have some fun with it?” he said, walking away and getting an arm on his famous partner.

Not gonna win the “best dressed” award. Her dresses are always a little off.

I don’t think she ever wears big name dresses at award shows though. May be she has “causes” to support.
