Prison Break Canceled!
Prison Break just got canceled, EW reports.
“The show is played out,” says Kevin Reilly, entertainment president of FOX. “Prison Break had a hell of a run, but the run has ended. This will be the last year of the show.”
This will be the fourth and final season for the FOX show. The final episodes of the series will start airing April 17, but no word on how many episodes there will be. Reilly said, “We’ve got our remaining batch of four episodes and then there are a couple more we’re contemplating.”

Finally. The show was called “Prison Break.” How many times can they break out of prison? This season was boring. After they brought Sarah Wayne Callies’ character back from the dead, that’s when they jumped the shark. Wentworth should continue to take on good roles like “The Human Stain.”

I am sad it was cancelled, I love it, but it has gotten so far away from the original point of the show that I also think its time.

Sad that we won’t get to see this great bunch of actors all together after this, but it would be great to see Wentworth do something a bit more light hearted!! SWC is heading back to theatre apparently!!

The last episode for Prison Break that aired said that there were 6 episodes left. I think they’ve done a good job with this season, but I agree it’s time for the show to go or be reengineered.
I love WM but the show has run it’s course, I hope the writers don’t disappoint for the finale
Oh this is sad, but not totally unexpected news. I will miss it, but yeah, the story is really at an end soon. I would love to see Wenty in anything really, from opening an envelope to high drama. But preferably something where he needs to work out a bit more to get rid of those chins :P This was a fantastic show, and Robert Knepper’s TBag is one of the freakiest characters ever seen on television.

Well, the show does need to come to an end. All good things come to an end. The first and the second season were the best…and well, let’s face it, the third was too short to tell if it was good or not, but I watched cause I love WM. I wonder if he wasn’t in it, would I still have watched? This season started out slow, but it picked up…and is finally getting good, only to be stopped in its tracks.
The truth is, I’d love to see WM in anything…love that man. However, seeing him in less (clothes that is) would be just as gratifying…just kidding.
Wishing him much success in whatever he does in the future!

The first year was great, maybe even the second year. But, then when they put Michael back into another prison…ugh. There’s really only so far you can take a show called Prison Break.

I don’t think so. I think he just wants more creative control. He still has a desire to act and though he doesn’t like the spotlight, he has had to accept it. I think he has been conflicted with some directions taken with the character and realized to tell a story with limited compromise, you have to have larger control. I may be projecting here. That’s a decision I made to stop pursuing acting but pursuing projects I can make. Not quite there yet but the importance of this trumps the need to act in just anything. even the best projects spill too much Hollywood ideal and as a well read person, analytical person, I think he wants more integrity in his work.
I think you’ll see him in smaller projects, some he may produce/create himself. Others, he’ll be able to negotiate more say. In addition, perhaps he may choose small roles in an occasional larger scale project because he likes the story and opportunity–more based on working with people he admired than on money or prestige.
I pray God too that Went will be in front of the camara and not behind it.

Sad to hear that PB will not be coming back. I know fans have dropped and the story line has had perhaps too many twists and turns for some, but those of us who have been there every Monday night for four years will miss this show and that group of actors. I wish them all the very best and hope to see the once again on both the big and small screens.

Many, many people have missed a very good show with out standing acting. Now Fox is throwing them to the wolves and Friday night-where all TV shows go to die. Monday night are now dead to me without PB. BUT as we get more and more reality show TV is becoming that vast wasteland of the simple minded and lazy.
As far as what Wentworth will be doing…………losing a few pounds first or he will be getting fewer and fewer offers. He has done nothing but PB for four years so he has not helped himself to build his fan base. He should not wait long as fans move on and there is alway another pretty face next year.
I love this show but already knew it would be the last season. I’ll miss it.

It is sad that the show is ending. The show is good though but I think it is time for the show to take its final bow.
Went did mention that this is going to be the last season anyway, so this is really not a shocker. I can’t wait to see the actors on the show to take other roles. I can’t wait to see Went in more movies in the future. I also can’t wait to see up and coming episodes in the spring and see what happens to all of them.

Went has gained a lot from the show, both artistically and financially. He’s known world-wide, and that has to be a huge plus in helping him to secure future projects. I hope we won’t have to wait long to find out what his next role will be.
I’d love to see him in something different that would demonstrate his versatility, like a romantic comedy (with nudity, please!) or a historical drama (with nudity).
Seriously though, Wentworth is an intelligent, talented, dedicated actor who has a bright future ahead. Please stay where we can see you, Wenty!!! XXXOOO

RIP Prison Break - you were fabulous. Now you are bloated (not a dig at Wentworth lol), boring and erm lost the plot so badly you had to bring someone back from the dead!!
Season one of this show was the best I have ever seen made of any show. If you are still watching the show you definitely have had to seen every season in order to understand everything otherwise your not a fan and your an idiot for posting on here saying the show isnt that great. I think the show started falling apart when the writer strike took place and the way they ended season 3 they weren’t too optimistic whether or not the show would even be back for season 4. The show is still great and theres pleanty more mystery still to be solved, I still miss the old characters like Kellerman… was he ever killed in that van because of his testimony, what else did he say that day in court? Pope, President Reynolds, C-Note, and many others I wish they could somehow incorporate these characters back into the show instead of killing so many off. But I hope we find out more this April when the show returns for its last horrah!

Its about time really. I loved the first three seasons but the fourth was just appalling. If they hadn’t have cut short season 3 and actually shown Sonar conveniently burning down and the rest of the inmates escaping they might have had some better ideas for season 4. The “removal” of Micheal’s tattoo was factually incorrect in every way possible, it would take years to remove a tattoo of that size and leave him crippled in pain not to mention scarred for life. Seeing that in the first episode of season four put me off straight away. As the rest of the show unfolded the name should have also changed from “Prison Break” to “Oh, How Convenient”! or “Predictable Break”! The first season was nothing short of genius and every episode gripping. What the hell happened!!?? The writers got greedy and lazy and Fox couldn’t really give a s*!t….

Well I dont care what anyone says I could easily sit through more seasons of Prison Break!!!! I am soooo sad that it is being cancelled! Best show ever written!!!! And sooooooo easy on the eyes!!!!
fantastic show, but at this point it was getting so boring…i actually couldnt wait for some episodes to just end already. i think wentworth should change his serious image & try to do something funny like a romantic comedy…either that or stick with the serious face & do an action film. his acting was getting so dull on prison break, he had the same expression all the time.
I don’t know - is “canceled” the right word? I think “completed” would be better. The story arc has to come to an end at some point, and this season has definitely felt as though they were getting ready to wrap things up.

Religion? From what he says in interviews and also asking someone who knew him an off-and question..I don’t think he practices anything. My guess is, he’s read about religion. Muse Watson (Westmoreland) said on his website that (like the old days) he and WM talked about religion and politics when he recently guest starred. I wondered if he was a Christian especially when a friend of mine who worked with him years ago assumed he was but the other friend who worked with him for quite a while told me he’ll never bring him to our church (which could have meant anything, really—I just didn’t press). That was awhile back so that may also have changed.
WM said in an interview that he loves Sundays because he doesn’t have to go anywhere that day. He speaks of faith in himself…etc. but never of a higher power. Obviously there are religions that don’t believe in higher powers or attendance on Sunday sooo if he practices anything it would be more likely something more along those lines. But I expect he more considers himself a student of religion and philosophy and implements some things he’s read but doesn’t practice anything in particular.
This really breaks my heart in a way lol.. i think they took it too far when don self turned on them.. they could have just ended it at that… but its time for it to be over… i think it was the best show ever in a long time.. im really really gonna miss it. =[

Prison break is the best show…Its brilliant. A lot of twists but thats what makes a show like this really good. Wentworth is a great actor and should stick to this kind of genre tv shows.

Wow! That is just awful! I stop watching Prison Break for a few months, cuz I’m working like an ass and it gets cancelled! It shows how much one viewer is important for the show.lol. Oh well, it sucks, cuz it’s a really good show, not like before, but it’s still interesting to watch and Wentworth Miller is easy on the eyes.lol.Damn that guy is hott!lol. I hope to see Wentworth miller in romantic comedies and action films that are rated high in the box office. I’ll miss watching Wentworth sooo much. Wentworth Miller has the potential to be a huge star. He has the star quality…the look, the voice, the presence…everything. I’d like to see him in movies.

OH…and we can’t forget about Sucre! He’s definitely been in some stuff lately…I’m glad he’s been in stuff lately. I can’t remember what movie it was that I saw him in lately…but he was some kind of super soldier. Anyone remember?
HAHA! I totally predicted it! I said that bringing back the Sara character would make the ratings go down and lead to the cancellation of this show–and I was right! Since bringing Sara back, the show has lost 24% of its viewers. All those crazy loser Sara fans who told me that bringing Sata back would save the show and increase the ratings are all eating their words now, aren’t they? TOLD YA SO! This is now the worst show on tv with plotlines that are so ridiculous , they make my teeth hurt. As for Wentworth, I don’t think we’ll see him in much…he can’t act and now he’s fat, so I guess its good that he has his Princeton education to fall back on because, if I were him, I wouldn’t be holding my breath on getting much more work as an actor. His 15 minutes are up.

I’d love to see him in a comedy with Ben Stiller or in a Farrelly brothers’ movie. That would be great. And if that fails, a movie that would require intelligence from the viewers would be good too. Something like the Human Stain. He was really, really good as Coleman Silk *sigh*

New pics are poping up of Wentworth on other sites and he has lost any weight he put on. By the way, in the middle of all that “he’s gotten fat stuff”, a friend of mine who is the aesthetics queen of th universe saw him on the Fox lot and said he was “not fat at all” when I asked.

Don’t u know that the story can’t handle more than those seasons.even Went Has said that b4 even they start filming S4.He said “We cant go 4 ever,We r not CSI or LAW & ORDER”The story must end soon…It’s not a surprise and not because of the returning of SWC.PB is very successful and most of the fans download it.So it was hard to get high rating with all of this downloading.

Of course PB sucks it has sucked since season 2.The remaning eps are probably going to be so what who cares feel to it running around yet again all dumb.I agree with what people said about Sarah Wayne Callies having her on has messed the entire show up.It’s somewhat her fault for agreeing to come back but the real fault falls on the people who called her to even come back those dumb idiots.
Please they should have ended this piece of s!hit of a show last year instead of dragging it back this year so annoying @ useless *rolls eyes*.

I can not believe it. One of the best series will end. Assure that it is not just me that I will be sad with the end of the series. Well I’d like to see more adventures of Michael and Lincol there.

The show just lost it after the 1st season!
I loved the first season and sort of enjoyed the second season but after that the only reason I kept watching is to see Wentworth Miller. I kinda wish that they had ended it with the second season so that it would have been on a high note. Now its just a joke that it’s still on the air.

it really sucks that the dicks at fox would get rid of such an awsome show. i am really pissed off about this. PB was rhe best show i have seen in a while. Season 1 was amazing season 2 was pretty good, season 3 was awsome, and season 4 is just as good as season 1. They better at least give us a good ending, or i am going to be seriously pissed off. nothing will take the place of this show.

I love Prison Break!!!!!! It is one of my only few “non-reality” show on tv! It always keeps me guessing what will happen next. On other shows, I usually could guess what happens next. I am sad that it will be cancelled.
I think it was written into a hole they couldn’t dig out of. Even a teenaged girl such as myself could have written a better plot then what they had in the last two seasons. The first was golden, though. As much as I loved it, it’s time to pull the plug.
It is time. I know the show was getting a bit long in the tooth and the episodes were getting a bit far fetched. Especially when Wentworth underwent complete tattoo laser removal in a single night without a scar or a bump or a stain remaining on his entire body! That was complete science fiction. Anyway, I’ll watch till the end, but they really need to move it along and say goodbye. I’d like to see Dominic and Wentworth again. And Sucre is worth his weight, too. I think we’ll see less of Wentworth and more of Purcell in the future.

Please finish the season and have one more so Sarah and Scofield can get married. Scofield is absoutly gorgous and will be missed. I want to see the gang together at the end and doing well. Lincoln is “HOT” and needs to find someone to settle down with him and his son. DONT LEAVE US HANGING, I love this show and Monday’s nights are not the same.

I revolved my whole Monday schedule for my life around Prison Break and I am broken hearted that it has to end. I don’t care if Wentworth is gay or not , he is hot. Best of Luck to all cast.

Prison Break was the best show on the tube for a long time. Sorry to see it go.
Truly a genius TV show, the best I’ve ever seen, a man’s strongest desire is freedom and this show focused on that, truly a masterpiece.

I am disappointed, I thought it was a very good show, regardless of how many times they broke out of prison. I agree hope the finale is played out well. Big Bummer for me.
Better to end it this way then to go on like the show LOST that never seems to end and has gone way off the original story line.
I loved the show and I’ll like to see wentworth miller in a love making show. There is something that i really like about him. With my prayers for him, he will act in movies that he love.

I hate to see it go. I have every season on DVD and never get tired of watching it. Maybe FOX could do a show called “The Company” where Michael, Linc, Sucre and Sara run it for good. Kinda like Dexter, you know.
