Katie Holmes Miu Miu Ad — FIRST LOOK!

Katie Holmes is featured in Miu Miu’s spring/summer 2009 campaign, which shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in New York last November.

The 30-year-old actress rocks out one of Miuccia Prada’s graffiti-spattered day dresses in the ad, which was supposed to depict a “luminous icon radiating a sense of mystery and theatricality.”

UK’s Vogue explains the look was inspired by the films of Italian film director Federico Fellini.

Miu Miu will be cursed now and collapse. I would never buy anything that uses Ms. Cult Lover (aka katie holmes) as it’s spokesperson, etc.

Katie used to be a pretty girl, now the only time her face has an expression is when it’s painted on with make-up.

Unfortunately as this picture proves, even when plastered with cosmetics she STILL looks bland and expressionless.

I also agree with the previous poster who commented on how suddenly thin Katie’s legs look. They should have photoshopped both legs not just the left one.

So from some of the comments here. I am guessing some of you guys think she should not have married Tom Cruise?? I’m just kidding. But I guess that wasn’t the best move as far as being respected on your own. Anyway, I think she cleans up well and is a pretty girl when she is all done up.

A good fashion editor, good lighting, make-up, photographer and photoshop can do wonderful things!
It is a nice picture of her but I don’t think Katie Holmes is a good fit for the very modern, young, and fashion-forward Miu Miu. I don’t buy it.
Not sure either that the campaign with KH will help to sell the Miu Miu Spring 2009 collection. InStyle described it as “challenging”, with dresses layered with a apron (yes, a apron, like the one on Katie) and fabrics with fraying holes, as if moths had munched on them.
