Cristiano Ronaldo is the FIFA Player of the Year

Cristiano Ronaldo is pictured receiving his World FIFA Player Of The Year trophy from Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester, UK on Wednesday (January 14).

“This is a prize that has always been an ambition of mine ever since I started playing football,” Ronaldo said. “But when I started at Sporting Lisbon six years ago I never imagined it would come so quickly.”

The 23-year-old soccer player received 935 votes in a worldwide poll of national team captains and coaches, with the results announced by Brazil’s all-time great Pele.

“It is an overwhelming moment, a very special moment in my life,” Ronaldo said. “I would like to say to my mother and sister that the fireworks can be fired off now.”

The name of his former team is Sporting Clube de Portugal. Sporting Lisbon doesn’t exist.

Come on, Kaká is the best player of all! He didn’t win because he had to do something on the leg. Brazil has the best players of the whole world! But, anyway.. Congratulations Cristiano R., althought Kaká is so much better!

hey cristiano deserves this award because of his great participation in all of his games . he is sooooooooooo cute and sexy.
