Daniel Craig & Satsuki Mitchell are Ballin’
Daniel Craig and long-time love Satsuki Mitchell (in Jenny Packham) keep close as they attend the 2009 Deutscher Filmball at Bayerischer Hof hotel in Munich, Germany on Saturday.
The dashing duo continued to promote Daniel’s film, Defiance, which opened in the U.S. last Friday. Also pictured below are Steffen Kuchenreuther (President of the Central Organization of the Film industry) and director Edward Zwick.

Notwithstanding the fact that Daniel Craig is in the public eye and a respectable actor, I think their looks are on par with one another. True, Satsuki may not be the ultimate “arm candy,” but Craig is not exactly Johnny Depp either. He is definitley showing his age!

same here…but that the other side of the medal…. I would never have recognized him without Bond. I’m not from UK and the only thing I knew before Bond has been Tomb Raider (and this is crap, sexy crap, but crap LOL) and Road of Perdition. But movies like Enduring Love, Some Voices, The Mother or Love is the Devil are such great gems. And I believe he’ll do such fine movies again, it is much easier for him and his mates to get these kind of movies financed.

Had to bump this back up because I went and bought the DVD (2 disc) a few days ago and just finished watching it. AND… WOW!!!
Maybe it’s the HD, maybe it’s the new plasma Pioneer Elite TV… or maybe it’s just Daniel Craig. Anyhoo, he’ll be replacing Arroyo in my fantasties (well, at least until spring training).
Before I watched the movie I reviewed this thread just to get the feel - and remembered all the problems with Craig and the production - which the British press and Drudge seemed to report with glee. Even tho’ I didn’t reply to this thread (until now) I had my doubts then - but I can safely say that the crow was pretty tasty.

In the 43 listed above he was the lead or co-lead in 19 of them so his role in each of those was not “smaller”. They are not blockbusters, but they do require finer acting talents for the more complex subject matter.
The reason why Hollywood / US public had not heard of most of most of that list of 43 films and tv movies is because they are Euro (so-called) “art house” movies and so never make past the celebrity-obsessed media in the USA.
What he does best is not Bond. What he does best is good quality pieces that require real acting and not just standing in front of a camera looking pretty. Though I readily concede he does that wonderfully too!!
I’ve loved him since 1992 and have seen him on the English stage as well as in all of the above. He is a classic gem of an actor.
I’m hoping as #73 said that all the attention he gets now will result in more of his better quality roles getting financed. I think if he gets an Oscar, it will be for something like Enduring Love or Some Voices.
There is definitely a huge PR campaign going on with Satsuki, she’s really being pushed into the limelight lately. Mainly about her style and outfits. Has anyone else noticed this??

Yes, I’ve noticed — it doesn’t make sense. Other actors don’t pose relentlessly with their gfs or wives, even those who are clearly very close and in love. This seems to have ulterior motives somehow and I have no idea what they are. She’s being shoved in everyone’s face and she has no more “celebrity” than being his gf.

I think they are trying to turn her into a celebrity in her own right, she won’t just be Daniel Craig’s girlfriend.. she will be Satsuki Mitchell, film producer and style icon. Maybe she’s had a taste of fame and she really likes it and wants it for herself. The only problem is..two ego’s living under one roof?? Will it work??

As soon as I saw these pictures of her the very first image that popped into my head was of that woman Lizzy who killed her parents, what was her name, they made a movie of her, and I immediately thought of her as soon as I saw these pictures.
My God I have never seen, except maybe Courtney Love, look as bad as this woman does.
Maybe she’s had a taste of fame and she really likes it and wants it for herself. The only problem is..two ego’s living under one roof?? Will it work??

Stretching a wee bit aren’t we? Of course, that’s your opinion. As far as the dress sats is wearing it is far more pretty than anything Lizzie Bordon got her hands on.
I think everyone has noticed!! I just viewed JJ’s pics of Kate and Leo at their RR premiere in the UK-there are no pictures of their significant others!! They know who the fans want to see and do not push their so into the limelight!!

Those are memories I will never forget. If you ever get the chance to see him on the stage, take it!! You will never regret it.
I’ve seen him in Hurlyburly (at the The Old Vic in 1997), A Number (at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs in 2002) and Angels in America in the original production at The National Theatre way back in 1993.
Film scenes can be re-shot and edited etc., but you can’t edit the live stage. If an actor can shine in the kind of material Daniel Craig has done on stage then he can truly be called “an actor” and not just a celeb to happens to be in films.
They seem to be well suited for each other and compliment each other. As a previous poster said if he did not want her there she would not be there. She is getting better in the make up department but only looks good at certain angles and from a distance…..upclose she is a disaster which is Dan’s angle. I have nothing against the woman but she just seems like she is trying too hard to get noticed. Just becasue a gown has a label does not mean it will look good on a person. Satsuki is stuggling for some reason to be stylish all of her fame is dependant on Daniel if they breakup she will not be seen and will just vanish. Her claim to fame is the same as the Jerry Hall’s of the world…..someone’s girlfriend! I suppose its ok if you don’t have any ambition of your own and just want love which they seem to have.
