OlderBeyonce Belts It Out for Barack
Beyonce performs in front of the Lincoln Memorial during the “We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration At The Lincoln Memorial” at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.
The 27-year-old singer will be performing “At Last” as the first dance for the Obama’s after the inauguration.
President-elect Barack Obama spoke at the celebration and addressed the crowd, saying “Welcome to this celebration of American renewal. In the course of our history, only a handful of generations have been asked to confront challenges as serious as the ones we face right now. I stand here today as hopeful as ever that the United States of America will endure. That it will prevail; that the dream of our founders will live on in our time!”

Too wonderful. Too amazing. Beyonce goes from one accomplishment to another. I love her music and her heart. I am a white woman and, true to the times, this is not posturing about Obama, but a moment in history to be celebrated by us all. Go Beyonce and all the performers. Thank you.

Beyonce was great! Obama said by in Jan 08 that he was a big Beyonce fan. Its no coincidence that he is giving her important musical parts for his celebration.

Who would you recommend? Mariah hardly sings live anymore. MJ Blige performed earlier that day. JHudson is not nearly as successful as Beyonce musically. Whitney needs to rehab her image. The youth dont really care about listening to the older forks like Tina and Arthetha.

I like her but she does have a limited range. She just needs to be careful with her material. I heard her mangle Ava Maria. I don’t where she got the idea that she could master those notes.
She looks good. It wasn’t really that cold here today. The concert didn’t draw the numbers they expected. They keep scaring everyone away from events with their “warnings.”

Beyonce was vocally on point and looked beautiful and happy while doing so. The Obama family love her, so it really does not matter what the naysayers thinks. Malia was snapping pictures of Bee while Sasha was singing along.

being the best is having the TALENT and the ability to pull in crowds like she does worldwide. she has had longevity and fans from around the world that are old, young, black, white, men, women, and everything you could think of. they know who the best is.
And people wouldn’t waste so much of their time trying to criticizing her for every little thing she does either if she wasn’t one of the best artists out there today. they get the most criticism and still overcome it with their unique god-given talents.
And she wouldn’t be asked to perform for the president(twice) if she was just some “overrated chick” either. So she obviously isn’t!
Anyways
I loved her outfit. All of the artists seemed excited and proud during their performances. It was very uplifting to watch.
