That is soo funny; I thought I was the only one who laughed at him saying that line! Overacting, overacting and more overacting. DC I used to be a big fan but I think you need to leave Mansuki home and get control of your own career!!
Brittish has one T by the way. No offence, just a note.
Bond is being discussed both sides of the Atlantic.
Eon may be in Britain but the maj of investors are American.
Indeed all the negotiations for Eon/Sony for QoS took place in L.A.
Don’t mean to cause trouble just wanted to interject a little.
So you are both right. Kind of.
i don’t suppose daniel said in one of the interviews who would direct bond 23? i’d like it to be either either martin campbell or chistopher nolan. not the last guy. also is moneypenny and q going to return. bond films just aren’t fun to watch without q in them. also what is this about steve mcqueen? is this film in the works??
Daniel has stated in an recent interview that he will NEVER portray McQueen. That his films need NO redoing.
No idea on the director of Bond 23. I would say that Q and MPenny will return yes.
He wouldn’t be “redoing” any of his films, it would be a movie about McQueen’s life. That makes no sense. I’ve seen all of his interviews, he never mentioned anything of the kind.
If you have a link to this so-called “recent” interview please provide it. I have seen all of his recent interviews and no one ever asked him anything about McQueen.
Please provide the link.
Eon is based in London, “all the negotiations” for QOS DID NOT TAKE PLACE IN LA!!!!!
“all major investors are American” THIS IS ALSO NOT TRUE.
I just looked up all the information online.
Completely FALSE statements.
I also checked and there is absolutely no interview where he is asked about doing a movie protraying the life of McQueen.
Stupid lies.
Please provide the link for the info on Eon Studios (I know they are in Pinewood) and Sony but who the investors are please. I heard that the maj of the money is American. Bond is not compeltely British you know!
I read the interview where he was asked about Mc Queen and he stated he wasnt interested, it was a latest one. Maybe someone can help me out? One on the Defiance promo circuit?
Thats all I can provide. Sorry.
He’s never gonna portray McQueen…next!
That rumor is as old as the hills.
but don’t they need to choose a director from the beginning of the project? if for no other reason than to make sure their choice doesn’t do anything else when they need him.

i dont mean to interrupt your discussion with the other person, but dont film companies have to list the names and locations just like any other corporation. if so, wouldn’t be easy to go and look up the list of people financing bond 23 and see where they are. london or the united states.
i mentioned that Daniel was up for the Steve mcQueen biopic because VARIETY MAGAZINE had an article about it, that they (mcQueen team) were considering to cast Daniel.
I did NOT read or hear that Daniel did not want to ever do it.
I do not know about that interview or that article where he said that.
Never heard him say that, so if he did, it is news to me.
the latest i heard was from Variety magazine where it said he was being considered….
The Steve McQueen BioPic film is not about REMAKING any of McQueen’s prior films-
IT IS A BIOPIC- a biography of McQueen’s life…. not re-making anything.
So I doubt that Daniel ever said that “McQueen’s films do not need re-doing”-
im sure he did in a recent interview, i read it someplace, stake my life on it..ill have to try to find it. lame i know..ill do my best
I just did an extensive search online regarding McQueen and Biopic. I found several articles from this month, including the one from Variety that the biopic IS GOING TO BE MADE. I also found several articles regarding McQueen’s widow wanting DC to portray her husband. I found NOTHING where he ever said he WOULD NEVER portray McQueen in a biopic.
I also found several articles entitled OSCARS CALLING FOR DANIEL CRAIG if he portrays McQueen in a biopic.
I completely agree, this would be his chance for an Oscar. BUT, he will need to get a very, very good accent coach, because his American accent isn’t much better than the accent in Defiance. And on top of it McQueen is from the midwest, and they have a WHOLE different accent than the west coast folks or east coast folks, and he will need to get that down perfectly. Midwesterners say for 100 “a hundred,” people from New York say “one hundred.” That kind of thing, and they have a tendency to run their words together. So he’ll definitely need an excellent accent coach.
I have absolutely no doubt that DC WILL ACCEPT THIS PART.
He knows, without a single doubt, that this will be his Oscar opportunity.
I have a feeling this is why Sats is smiling so much lately, she already knows that he will be portraying one of Hollywood’s coolest guys!!!
DC PLEASE, PLEASE TELL SATS TO KEEP HER BUTT HOME IF YOU DO THIS PROJECT. PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T LET HER JINX THIS PROJECT AS SHE DID DEFIANCE AND FOAF AND BLACK CHRISTMAS, AND THAT NEW MOVIE THAT SHE’S CO-PRODUCER ON THAT WILL ALSO BOMB. PLEASE DC, IF YOU WANT AN OSCAR, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT, DO NOT LET HER ON THE SET WHILE YOU’RE WORKING, PLEEEEEEEASE.
Oh jeez another beefcake poll.
113- thanks for the info and the reasearch-
Like I said earlier…i also believe that this is his perfect shot at his Oscar !
The steve mcqueen biopic is made ofr him-
And as you rightly said, HE DOES NEED THE BEST DIALECT coach in Hollywood…to get McQueen’s accent just right.
And, Keep that Satwhatthehellisit OFF the SET entirely.
no one needs her dumb ass two-cent opinion on what looks good and what doesn’t look good with Daniel’s scenes..
i guarantee you that THESE producers/director of the McQueen film will not be taking Satstupids’ advice and if DANIEL is smart, he will drop her off or leave her out and leave her home.
Nothing and NO ONE should come between his work and his oscar opportun ity. i think he is too wwise to let her interfere, and if he does , then it will be his sorry lesson to learn and to regret.
omg hes so sexy an hot and i jus love his dress sense!!!!
I also laugh everytime I see the Defiance trailer, his accent is absolutely horrible. And I agree, casting a blond blue eyed actor to portray Tuvia is a joke. I have read bad reviews, and I just knew that it would bomb.

I’m just using this quote as an example of a few comments. How many people here have actually seen the film?
I’ve seen it twice, and it is a good film, which raises a lot of questions about topical issues, not just about the past. Of course, it has flaws, but one has to see it to really judge it. It’s a shame that a few bad critics put people off a film that has a lot of depth, unlike a lot of other films that are out there. Defiance has in fact, received some very positive critiques, so the opinion hasn’t been all out bad.
At first viewing, I thought Liev Schreiber’s acting was far superior than Daniel Craig’s, but after seeing it again, I think they both deliver real quality acting. As I said before, there are flaws, and I think Daniel Craig could have elaborated on the darker side of his character slightly more and toned down some of the ‘heroic speeches’, but his performance is still very good.
I think one of Defiance’s fault is with its promotion. It’s not been advertised enough - say in comparison to Operation Valkyrie, which is in your face everywhere. Also, if it is only shown in a limited amount of cinemas, maybe it wasn’t designed to be a blockbuster?
In my view, people really should go out and see it. It’s worthwhile.
And to come back to the abovementinoed quote, at the end of the film, they show a picture of Tuvia. You’d be surprised how light his hair and complexion looks in the photograph.
I’m the person you quoted. Good reviews, Bad reviews, makes no difference to me, I refuse to see a movie about a war criminal that Hollywood decided to make into a hero.
That is why the movie is bombing, and that is exactly why, along with Sats’ involvement, I knew that it would bomb.
Sats has not worked on ANYTHING that has been reviewed as a good movie.
Her involvement alone told me immediately it would bomb.
The fact that it’s a movie about a war criminal that is portrayed as a hero, is another reason I knew that it would bomb.
I will never see this movie.
I want to add that in our town we have a columnist that reviews movies, and in the past eight years, I cannot remember him ever being wrong about a movie. When he says a movie sucks, it really does suck. I have seen a lot of movies thinking we would disagree and he has always been right. He saw Defiance and said it sucked big time, that DC over-acted, the accents were horrendous, and the story was weak, and didn’t even come close to showing the atrocities that Tuvia committed. He also said QOS sucked, and I read several other reviews that said it sucked and I still have not watched QOS and probably won’t bother until I can rent it for a buck or something.
I don’t bother spending a lot of money to watch a movie that has received bad reviews.
i saw the film and it wasn’t the best. i though daniel and liev did good jobs but that the script was bad. atrocities?? if you mean killing the policeman and his sons who killed tuvia’s parents and other jews -guess what i would have done the same thing tuvia did. the killing of people who betrayed jews to the germans; yeah i would have killed them too. and i’m not jewish. let’s not all forget what was happening to the jews in that part of the world.
hehehe you want that Satsmonkey stayed at home, her butt home, hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe!! You made me laugh.
Yes, I agree, Manmonkeysuki is no producer, she knows s-h-i-t about films. You know, she just plays that she is smart. Daniel looks like gillette Clint Eastwood, Ray Liotta,John Wayne or Mickey Rourke, Paul Newman or Terrence Hill (eyes and blonde hair). danny boy is gillette man.

Just information, Daniel Craig has produced the film “flashback of a fool” but he has produced with a man named Robert Mitchell. Could it be that this is the father of Satsuki, if so this explains its ubiquity may be next to DC!
He should keep the 5 o’clock shadow for any red carpet event because it looks so damn sexy on him and it would make him look less waxy. Although I think its the lighting thats making him looks orangy because seeing him several hours before he was well not orange lol.
#118,
I don’t think Hollywood made a hero out of Tuvia Bielski. The film shows a few very brutal murders committed by the Bielskis and his partisans, but put them into the context of the situation they found themselves in. I felt it was very much up to the viewer to decide if this was right or wrong. It’s this moral ambiguity that makes the film so interesting to me. There were many scenes where I asked myself what I would have done, and sometimes, I could not find the answer…
#120, I think #118 is talking about the the massacre of 128 villagers of Naliboki committed by Soviet partisans 1943. Allegedly, members of the Bielski bridgade were involved, but the investigation in Poland is still ongoing, and no conclusion has been reached. The question is, were the Bielskis in the area at the time, or not, and if yes, were they involved. Historians and witnesses are split on the issue.
This is not mentioned in the film, but that’s the reason why many people don’t want to see Defiance.
The problem with film reviews is, you really never know for sure, unless you go yourself. I often went to see highly recommended films and came out highly disappointed. Film viewing is so individual that you can’t often tell. And critics never agree, do they? Same as people… Quantum of Solaces proves that point - I read a lot of reviews and posts on message boards, and people were fighting over that film like cats and dogs. Some thought it was excellent, others hated it with a passion, and both camps nearly killed each other getting their points across. Reading a lot of those posts, you never thought they were talking about the same film… So I’d say, if you want to know what a film is like, go and see it yourself.
ok i’m sorry to say that i had not heard of any massacre of 128 people in naliboki. i misunderstood what number 118 was saying. the first time i ever heard about tuvia and his brothers is by watching the film. i never knew these people existed. so why didn’t they make mention of what happened in that villagein the film? they showed the killing of the policeman and others. by the way, i still think the film could have been better. and maybe ed zwick should not have directed it.
