Kellie Pickler Monkeys Around
Kellie Pickler has adopted quite a strange pet — a monkey! The 22-year-old American Idol alum just wrote a blog entry titled “Monkey See…Monkey Do”:
“The ‘Pickler Family’ has gotten bigger….(and no I didn’t have a kid)…I adopted a Marmoset Monkey! She is the cutest little thing. She is so tiny, only weighs 3 ounces right now. I’m not sure exactly what I am going to name her….so maybe you guys can help me out. I’ll post a picture of her and you guys can comment on what you think I should name her….she is so sweet and she has the best personality. I absolutely love her!!!….and I love you guys too….xoxo pickler :)”

Legal or no, it is incredibly selfish to aquire one of these animals as a “pet.” However, as this girl has never shown herself to have any sort of intelligence, I’m not surprised.
Monkey, I don’t hate anyone, and I don’t know much about Kellie Pickler other than that she’s a gifted Idol singer who is now a popular country singer. I don’t like her choice in regards to the monkey, specifically. I have not posted lies about Kellie, I just pointed out that adoption by the public of a newborn marmoset is next to impossible, although it’s easy to buy one. Please stop calling people morons and idiots for voicing their opinions. You are talking about 99% of us on this blog, and, of course, not yourself, although you are not able to back up your statement about monkey adoption with any facts.
I suggest you take a break from this, monkey, as I see that you have been on here for over 12 hours and, clearly, have unusually strong feelings for Kellie Pickler. I suggest you seek help before you show up at her doorstep.

Ethics aside, wonder how many of her staff will refuse to take care of it? dogs and cats sure, for a decent salary and if its in the job description. Monkeys are hateful little things that are so hard to take care of. kellie better be putting in all the work on this on.

Amazing how many of you are brainwashed by AR groups l;like PETA! Years ago monkeys of all kinds were common pets, and they make great pets! Sweet and loving as long as they are treated well. Rather like little kids. Which is actually their worst draw back ~ some people can’t deal with them never ‘growing up’. How many of you can say “Baaaaa”? Sheeple listening to the media & gov. brainwashing instead of thinking or living for yourselves!

Sure is easy to tell who among you has never even had the pleasure of being near a real live monkey! Bite her face off? More AR garbage! Especially a tiny kind like this one, they are more full of kisses than you would believe. But you don’t want to believe. You want to condemn. Wild? Bet it’s been generations since that marmoset’s relatives were wild, and people raising them no sooner kill the mom than a dog breeder does! Even just on a materialistic level, it would make no sense to mistreat babies or breeding stock, but rarely would someone keep breeding monkeys if they didn’t totally love them, because they are work beyond the money made!

I think that you all need something better to do with your lives rather then talk trash about someone who is actually truly a good person!! She will love and adore this new addition to her family and any of you who think that this monkey will be unhappy are the true morons!! And no, it is not illegal to own exotic animals, people do it all the time. You have to take classes and get licensed, which isnt that hard to do, then you can adopt and raise your animal. How do you know she got it from poachers? Maybe there is a breeder somewhere, it is possible…people breed tigers and other exotic animals too…stop having such a closed mind. Do you honestly think if she didnt do it legitimately she would have it posted on the internet? She is not stupid people, she wouldnt throw herself under a moving bus with all of the publicity she gets. She is one of the good girls…give her a break!! Kellie…congratulations on your new friend, enjoy her and just ignore these ignorant morons!!! As far as for her name…I would base it on her personality…but nothing too common or plain.
Kellie you should name your newest addition “Ceci” . This is the name of my beatiful daughter. We have watched from the time you started on Idol and quickley fell in love with you. Since my wife passed away, Ceci has sang your music for talent shows at school, here in Big Baton Rouge La. She really looks up to you and Taylor Swift and I believe it would be a big pick up for her to have a connection with you. Well anyway dont know if you read these but good luck, you are a very special person please dont ever change. We will always love you here in BR.

Jungle Friends is home to 117 monkeys, 15 are marmosets-most ex-pets! Babies are stolen from their mothers usually when they are only a few days old-you can imagine the horror!
Why does it matter so much what kind of animal she has. You arent paying the bills for it. Leave her alone. She is a wonderful person and could probelmy care less what you haters have to say about her. She has more fans that problemy any one of you. I think its cool she has a monkey i have always wanted one, it is a personal decison what animal they want not the publics.
