While I don’t think RDJ will win, I am happy to see he got recognized for his role in Tropic Thunder. It was not only the most hilarious turn of the year, but he was absolutely convincing.
I’m also a little surprised Josh Brolin didn’t get recognition for his role as Dubya. But he is recognized nonetheless. Otherwise, it seems all are deserving and it looks like my next few weeks will be busy seeing some of these movies I have yet to catch
The Dark Knight not being nominated for Best picture of the year AGAIN is f_ckin travesty. It was one of best movies ever made and recieved four stars. What’s up with that….

Oh, honey, it’s hurt isn’t it? BWAHAHAHA
Go Heath Go o/ - I’m rooting for you ♥
I’m disppointed that “Revolutionary Road” was practically shut out. Nice nom for Michael Shannon though, but snubs in the actor, actress and director categories came as bit of a surprise. That’s entertainment for ya. In the great scheme of things, these nominations, or those lack thereof, are going to do nothing to change my life. I must go back to work!
Guli: Hi there! I don’t know if you got your answer already, but I just checked and Wanted is up for sound mixing and sound editing.
Congratulations to the Jolie Pitts. I hope there is lots of joy in their home this morning.
Thanks, Jared.
.
Major congrats to Brad, Angie, Taraji, Fincher and Eric Roth. All EARNED their awards! (Just thought I’d beat the trolls before they started in with their outlandish claims….)
Wonderful to see Brad and Angelina on the list of best actor and actress nominations. To be in the same league as Meryl Streep or Sean Penn is a very fine achievement.

Their winning would be the icing on the cake but as a fan, I’m really happy they got the cake!!
Congrats Again, Brad Angie!
Happy with all the noms this year.
Look how the academy dissed Anne Hathaway by putting Kate Winslet in there. Oh well
Congrats to all. I actually agree with this list. no controversies here.
Whoever thought that The Dark Knight would be nominated for Best Picture needs to go back to sleep.
Good Morning to the JP fans what a glorious morning!!!!! First Congratulations to Angie and Brad and Taraji on their Oscar nominations, very exclusive group to be nominated and have their work recognized. Congratulations to all the nominees. How impressive for Angie and Brad to receive a lot of nominations this year for their work as actors. Their family is growing and we got to see them have 2 new babies. Plus all the artistic magazine covers. It is wonderful to be Jolie Pitt fan :) Jared thanks for the updates. Thanks to the fans who post pictures, links ,articles all the time :)
Heath Ledger got another won in the bag.
`
why are the corny jolie fans getting @ kate?! lmbaoo jealous bishes. kate ownes jolie, losers. who cares about two noms - she got the important one, and she’s going to win.
`
dark knight got j-jerked.

Wanted got two nominations too.

Yeah, but for dumb stuff - Sound Editing and Sound Mixing - but NOT for Visual Effects? GMAFB! That stuff with the bullets clashing in mid-air was classic!

I think that Leo is not nominated because really he was not that good in RR! I don’t know, watching him and Kate - I didn’t like them together in that movie, all I could think about is Titanic! They are great actors but together they will always be a couple from Titanic! And why are you so rude? This is for Brad Pitt second time to be nominated, first time as Best Actor, and he was GREAT in Benjamin Button! Amazing! I think that finally Brad Pitt is an actor and not a pretty face! I am so happy for Angelina also, I just loved her in Changeling, beautiful movie indeed!
Good news for Angie and Brad.

Leo was snubbed because he didn’t ***** himself out like Brad. It just goes to show if you ***** yourself out then you can get a nom.
>>>>>>>>>>>
ROTFLMAO.
-
Oh really?? So that’s what all the other actors and actresses who didn’t get nominated should have done huh?? ***** themselves out like Brad.
-
Golly, looks like Frank Langella, Kate Winslet, even Meryl Streep, ***** themselves out and got nominated.
-
But imagine how bad your acting must be if you did **** yourself out - right down to stripping yourself nekkid and posing nekkid with 2 nekkid men and still you don’t get nominated for nothing. Man, your acting must really suck big time then.
This is a pretty good list. I’m glad The Reader is there for Best Picture instead of TDK. TDK was like a video game. It made a lot of money and Heath will probably win for that movie. That’s enough.
oh yea, brad & angie have done more whōring than anyone else, ever! in the history of whōring.
Despite the Academy’s obvious snubbing of “Revolutionary Road,” I am happy to see Michael Shannon’s nomination for supporting actor. What an amazing talent he is! And while it will almost certainly go to Heath Ledger, I hope people do not forget the amazing performances of his fellow nominees.
Sean Penn’s performance in “Milk” is timeless, and shouldn’t be overlooked because of the Golden Globes’ choice of Mickey Rourke (who is also amazing)!
And I don’t know a single person (except Catty Cathy above) who would disagree with Kate Winslet’s performance in “The Reader” of being deserving of this award. Go Kate! And though I love Merryl and Anne both, Kate has long been overlooked and this performance as Hanna in “The Reader” is so transcendent of the other nominees. I can only hope she takes it home!
Congrats, Kate Winslet.
But why The Reader and not Revolutionary Road? I loved her performances in both movies but…I hope that’s not the reason she won’t get an Oscar again this year.
Good luck, Kate!

Looks like BAR is the only one of their 5 movies last year that got shut out. Unless it got nommed for some minor awards that I missed…
No Bruce Springsteen music for The Wrestler? wtf?
Prediction: Mickey Rourke will win Best Actor.
Congrat to Brad and Angie and the other actors and actresses who make it to the final list ! not an easy task , they are all winner .
