I like the Oscar nominee list this year. It’s as fair as it can be.
.
Congrats to all the nominees.
Jen F *ck you for trying your games with Huvane to subbotage Angelina’s chance to be nominated.YOU FAILED BIG TIME,YOUR PAID BLOGGERS FAILED,YOUR PR FAILED,YOUR HENS FAILED,YOU DONT MESS WITH ANGELINA.
SO happy for the people who made CHANGELING,many actresses wanted this role and Angelina won the part,am happy the work she did is being recognised.
In your face HBP Angelina is nominated.
I just had to let it all out because so many of these people tried dirty tricks and today they are sreaming at the Ocean.

Aren’t we all stunned not to see a certain “actress” and her dog of a dog flick on the list? I’m shockd…and the world was shocked, to…
Now that I’ve time to digest the nominations news, I’d like to say I’m very happy to see that Taraji got a nom for best supporting actress, Fincher for best director, Kung Fu Panda for best animated movie, Eric Roth for best adapted screen play.
-
I’m also sorry that J. Michael Straczynski, the guy who wrote the Changeling screen play didn’t get a nod for best original screenplay as it seems he did a mighty fine job.
I’m so happy they both are being recognized for their work, they deserve it. Why such the big diss on Clint? His movie was so good.
Please make DARK KNIGHT go away. Keith did a good job but personally he could not control himself and his death was due to a drug overdose. I am tired of his memory and this movie being honored over and over again. His memory should include, DO NOT TAKE DRUGS. DRUGS KILL.
DANNY BOYLE! Best Director 2009.
glad Heath Ledger is still getting the recognition he deserved for this film, it was groundbreaking stuff and stick in my memory as the best performance i have ever seen.
his family will be very proud of him, especially today of all days. RIP Heath, you are loved by many and missed by more ***

And dare I say, this is after she ***** herself out and out too….
I am so happy because my favourite couple is nominated!! Go Angie and Brad!!!! The both were amazing in Benjamin Button and Changeling and that is way they are nominated for all awards this year!! Yes they are the best and haters will have to learn to live with that! Oh yeah, I am shocked and the world is shocked - the dog movie is not nominated?! Oh cry me a river!
@ CATHY 01/22/2009 at 9:09 am:
EXACTLY. And thank g0d there’s none of this double category nomination crap. She doesn’t deserve both best actress and supporting.
Congrats to Brad, David, Eric, Taraji and the CCOBB!
CATHY: Wow. Jealous are we?

I kinda agree with you up to a point. I’m sure Heath was a great talent and he did a wonderful job in TDK and I’m glad he is being recognised. I think alive or dead, his performance in TDK would have been appreciated and honoured.
-
But I also think that Hollywood and the press seem to be sanctifying him, down to keeping the video of him doing drugs out of circulation. I wish the message was more balanced. Heath did drugs and he was out of control because it wrecked his family’s life, and in the end, the drugs did killed him.

Every thing u said!
I hope this is the Academy of Motion Pictures’ way of saying “Fcuk PR machinations”. Actors are professionals and they shouldn’t character assassinate fellow actors in public.
Go Marisa Tomei!! Frieda Pinto snubbed and Dark Knight should have got nominated, Why does In Bruges keep getting a nod haha. I would love to see Robert Downey Jr
Heath Ledger will win Best Supporting Actor for TDK. That’s the only award it deserves.
God, what happened to the better movies that were released this year - guess I won’t be watching since I have a fair guess as to who is already going to win but I hope I’m wrong.

CONGRATS TO BRAD AND ANGELINA..
Jared, please tag this thread to the Jolie Pitts or have a new one for them.. this is fantastic news.
oh kay. wow. whilst people wage war here:
best actor - mickey rourke: pretty obsvious esp after globe win. lets wait till SAG which he’ll msot likely pick up. personally sean penn should, but rourke deserves it.
best actress - why why why why do they hate anne so much? fair enough, i like kate; she was unbelievably amazing in the reader however anne just propels far beyond her in rachel getting married. i hope its a suprise victory like last year with marion cotilliard and anne hathaway picks up the oscar - loving all the women nominated though
best supporting actor - duh heath. if the academy want ratings for their show they’ll give it to heath
best support actress - now this one here is tough. both women in doubt are good especially amy adams. taraji was “okay” in benjamin button. my guess its gonna be between marisa tomei and penelope cruz, with penelope cruz reigning victory. isnt her character maria just plain classic!
director - danny boyle *sigh, i’d much rather see gus or david recieve this, both whom have been underrated this award season
best picture - slumdog *sigh; dont get me wrong, i enjoyed the film however its become the cliche of award seasons 08
that is all.
you americans are too nice, you really are, you embrace greedy hypocites like the beckhams whose only god is MONEY, yet you hate the jolie pitts when they are trying to help those less fortunate, kate winslet did an awful thing at the globes snubbing ange like that, i think it was deliberate, ange did not deserve that and for that i just went straight off winslet, i used to like her, but i really have gone off her. I hope ange wins, but i doubt it, and i dont think brad will either, and i hope ange and brad dont attend the oscars
Congratulations to Richard Jenkins on his well deserved Best Actor nomination. Richard is one of the greatest actors our country has ever produced and it is about time Hollywood found a way to acknowledge that.
Can someone explain why Bolt deserves to be nominated.
OK the animation work deserves recognition a bit but the movie stinks.
Definitely not an Oscar nominated movie.
The rest of the nominations seems decent.
