OlderNicole Kidman: G’Day Australia!
Nicole Kidman keeps close to director Baz Lurhmann at the G’Day Australia black tie gala (hosted by Jacob’s Creek) at New York City’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Friday (January 23).
At the event, Baz said that Nic had been quoted out of context.
“It’s been universally reported that she didn’t like the picture,” Baz said. “Forget nastiness, it’s just a lie. [She's a] great artist. It’s disappointing in our country that you have to put up with a lot of rubbish – people who just knowingly set out to be destructive when they know it’s not true. It will probably be the No. 2 or No. 3 biggest Australian movie of all times.”
And how cute is Baz holding up Brandon Walters, who plays one the aboriginal boys in Australia?

No matter what Nicole says it will be taken out of context. She did explain what she “really said” but there are people who just thrive on seeing the negative. I thought the movie was wonderful. I think Nicole is beautiful inside and out.
JJ - please correct yourself. The young boy is Brandon Walters, who is not just “one of the aboriginal boys” in the movie “Australia”. He played a major role as Nullah and narrated the story.
She should be happy to beat her ex husband’s movie Valkarie..!! world

G’day mates!! Australia week is a cool event for all things Aussie..Nic and Baz are always doing their part to honor their country. She does look good here although the black is a bit too black.. guess i have been getting used to seeing that oyester/gray color on everyone.

Hubby was back in Nashville with Sunday Rose. This is the best she’s looked in a long time. I LOVE that dress and her reddish hair.
She looks absolutely stunning and gorgeous. Say what you want to say, but she really can look so incredibly beautiful and close to perfect at times. Soooo elegant!
Of course, I wish she would drop the lip fillers a bit…she doesn’t need them and they take away from her beauty.
She shows more “natural” affection with Baz then her own husband. Hope she was careful when she got out of the car & sat down with the thigh high slit.
Are you people nuts. . .She looks like a wax figurine with trout pout. . .She was once a pretty good actress that could move her face and use something beside her hands to show emotion when she acted. now she has traded all her facial skills that an actress needs to act for wrinkle free skin via botox. . . fat lips via whatever they have stuck in her lips and and fake hair they have stuck on her head. . .all she can do now is pose stiffly. . .if you think that’s acting more power to you But ain’t she beautiful as a wax figure pumped full of chemicals to keep her 41 year old body preserved perfectly just for you….No wrinles, no grey hair, no thin lips (even if that is your natural lip line) and of course not a trace of fat. . . not even when pregnant. Beautiful no . . Perverse yes
I loved “Australia”. Nicole didn’t look “frozen” in it as some bloggers claimed. Those bloggers just spread lies and people believe them. The movie was beautiful and some of the scenes (the rounding of the herd per example) were breathtaking. Nicole did a great job, so did the little boy. As for HJ, I had a few gasps whenever he appeared in the film . I am surprised “Australia” didn’t get any Oscar nominations. Go see it, it’s worth your time and money.
Their is nothing wrong with a woman wanting to look good as she ages especially in Hollywood. But I have to say NK has taken it a bit to far with the botox and the fat lips. She looks way over done and she does have grey hair now. Maybe she should give up all the wigs and hair pieces and just go short and grey like Lady Judy Dench.
