i now see why angie and brad are king of ennoy with the people at E entertainment because they don’t ask them about their work. they keep asking about their family. angie was sort of unconfortable with answering juliann’s questions regarding the family. i think angie would prefer that she ask her about their work.

Seriously, I think these red carpet stuff is the least on her mind until like the week before the award.

She strikes me as not interested in the gowns as much as say, going and supporting her man and peers. Of course, she won’t wear jeans but people tend to forget…Jolie dresses approciately and mostly formal, classy, clean lines and mostly asymetrical whereas everyone is expecting her to be sexy. She never dressed sexy per se….after all…she leaks sexiness and has aura of a sexy goddess from another era. So, why bother dressing it up when it is there in its natural form.

Angie this is a definite improvement from last time. Hairstyle is better but the dress, I’m not really sure. The color is fine but the style a bit boring and flat, where’s the accessories? Oh never mind because you still look like a goddess anyway :-)

Taye Diggs…….oh my God, that man is so fine! I’ve always had such a huge crush on him.

Love the JP’s ….Angie’s dress is not your typical RC flash……..she wears her dresses they don’t wear her. The more she underwhelms in the couture dept. the more they are talked about…….the flash and dash stars lose every time attetnion wise even though I think their styles or more dramatic. Brad’s got the ‘look of love’ down pat.

Oh no Sally Field won. Are we going to get another “you really really like me speech’?

I guess I’m so used to seeing the celebrities trussed up like christmas turkeys in figure hugging outfits, it still takes some getting used to, to see Angelina in this very relaxed style. She looks as comfortable as a woman can be on the RC with cameras trained on you!! She doesn’t have to suck her tummy in or wear corsets or spanx, though I’d venture to guess she has an excellent bra!!

I love Sally Fields she’s earned her due.

They both look great!!! It does’t matter to me if they win or lose because I really liked both of their movies–and they are quality movies–movies that are timeless. Who cares if a group of people did not vote for the movie when the public enjoys it. And look at the movies gross–by the numbers you can deduct that I was not the only one that enjoyed these movies.

A few thoughts…

- LOVE ANGIE, LOVE THE DRESS, LOVE THE HAIR..very classy!
-LOVE BRAD and his casual elegance…HOT!
-Brad & Angie caught to Entertainment hosts by surprise…they were all nervous and asking DUMBA*S*S questions…(Lisa Rena’s earing even fell off, but ANGIE WAS SO NICE BY SAYING “that happens to me all the time”….so that Lisa Rena wouldnt be embarrassed.
-Julianne Dipandi is A TOTAL BIMBO!!….She kept asking questions about Brad and Angie’s relationship trying to get a good quote. Angie was very patient with her….But Brad called her out. Julianne asked Brad…” how has Angie made you grow?”….and even LIED stating that Angie said things that she didnt even say! This was all to squeez a quote out of Brad about how much he loved Angie. They are so OBVIOUS! Its sickening that they ask such DUMB questions, and NEVER ask about the movie. Brad had to bring it back to the Benjamin Button movie, cause Julianne Dipandi from E! was going off topic so much! Stupid Heffer…

-Lastly, Kate Winslet gave a MORE DIGNIFIED ACCEPTANCE SPEECH tonight…..but she still annoys the c*r*a*p out of me!….Someone must have told her that she seemed very SELF-IMPORTANT when she gave her LAST ACCEPTANCE SPEECH at the Golden Globes. This time she mentioned how “honored” she was to be with the actors in nomination this year….and how talented they were….

Angie doesn’t look nice at all in the 4 outfits she has worn, She is so boney again hope she is taking care of herself.. She has the longest jawline, no butt at all so the othe pics she had to have padding.. Whats going on with her hair, don’t like that either.. Well I wish angie and brad well with those 6 beautiful children.. God Bless..

LOL - just read the second half of your post. It’s been crazy posting here today. Slumdog is on my to-see-list. I will let you know when I see it. Living in the sticks makes it difficult to see different movies, our little theater seems to cater more to kids. Hopefully with it being nominated for awards, it will play here. I liked Juno but it wasn’t something I would watch over and over again.

True that posting on JJ has been a trial today and I’m not very patient when it comes to the internets. I agree about Juno, it’s not a movie I’d watch over again. Of course, I don’t consider that the measure of a good movie. There are some truly craptastic ones that I love and watch over and over again without shame…ok, maybe a little.

Sorry to say this , But Brad looked exactly like that at X and he had this big smile on his face in Emmy award 2004 while she was posing alone for cameras. It is on SimplyBrad .And we all know they were already seperated at that time.

Apparently my previous comments are awaiting comments. I dunno why. I only made comments about the fashion.

I absolutely hate, hate, the celebs decked out like Xmas trees for these red carpets. As a previous reader wrote “trussed up like Xmas turkeys”. I agree–they typically look homogenous and overstyled. I like Angelina because she doesn’t conform to the rules–in anything she does–she really goes by her desire to be comfortable. However, I really think that she really could have added a bit more oomph tonight. I think the jewelry really could have been more special. The Frank Gehry jewelry she’s wearing tonight is really more for running errands. I would have loved to put a pair of really bold cuffs on either wrists or a fantastic pair of earrings. Maybe a long necklace worn backward so that it dangles down her spine.

On the positive front I love Kristen Scott Thomas’ look. She looks so chic with her Yves Saint Laurent inspired Le Smoking look. Perhaps it is a vintage YSL tux?

Brad looked amazing on stage. These pictures really don’t do justive. The dress Angelina has on looks much better in “person”. Taraji was so nervous she was squeezing Brad’s hand. This group seems to really like TCCOBB. The applause. Something tells me that it may win a top award.

just because there’s a bigger nut with 18 kids doesn’t make having so many kids so quickly better…

Hate to burst your fantasy bubble but Kate was all over the gossip rags in England when she walked out on her husband - the parent who was staying home with their baby so she could pursue her career full blast - and traded up to marry an Oscar winning director - Sam Mendes. I think she left her marriage about 2 months after meeting Mendes when they started to work together. The baby was less than one year old.

Maybe you should just stop making assumptions about people as a way to attack others.

She’s had 2 pregnancies - the last being one with a lot of stretching. I’m sure it’s not fat. It’s the abdominal muscles that get relaxed and you really have to work them to get back in shape. Sometimes it never goes back perfectly flat again - and back to concave? yea right.

That’s okay. A little round can be sexy, too.

Angie has never been stupid. She isn’t going to get pregnant before it’s healthy to do so. I also tend to think that the next family addition will be an adoption.

I like how casual Meryl Streep was, and how she acknowledged her fellow nominees.

I also like how Sean Penn said he cried at the movies of all his co-nominees.

This telecast had a brisk pace and a lot less candid shots of the audience. I’m sure Brad and Angelina did their fair share of nuzzling, adoring looks, etc.

The reason Angie needed to do Wanted between AMH and Changeling was because of HER MOTHER’S DEATH, not because they were both serious movies. She admitted that dealing with her mother’s death took a toll on her after the emotionally charged AMH. Had her mother not died unexpectedly, then who knows if Angie would have even done Wanted? Both Angie and Brad have said that Marcheline’s death at that time was unexpected. If Macheline hadn’t died, Angie wouldn’t have been so strung out emotionally. She’d have been at home happily helping Pax adjust to the adoption. Instead she was doing that AND trying to deal with her mother’s death.

Angie and Brad both looked wonderful. They came to support the film. I really don’t think either expected or cared about winning. Would it have been nice.. Are they fine with not winning YES.. I find it so funny that the people criticizing them seem to be reaching to find fault. They don’t have impress anyone to get attention. Look at the number of post. by tomorrow it will be over 1000.. Jared will have to start another thread to handle the overflow.. I think the problem is they both looked so good the haters have to find something to bad mouth.. How sad.. you can’t admit for a moment that she and he looked great. There was a lot of PDA on the carpet. It was just more in looks then touching.. Still Sexy as hell..

I hate to say this as well as joining the KW “she’s not nice” bandwagon but I saw during the E interview how AJ was behind KW and KW deliberately went another way to get off the podium and did not even acknowledge AJ. To think that they were both nominees..and AJ is right in front of her. Sorry if maybe I misinterpreted her actions but I think KW has something against AJ personally..don’t know what! HOpe I’m wrong though becoz I never thought of pitting these 2 equally talented and beautiful actresses but KW is getting on my nerves lately.

Like I said after the GGs - It just depends on whether or not the old folks in the Academy feel like giving Best Picture to foreigners again. Ballots are due back in 2 weeks. It may just be that they’re sick of how everything else was shut out by the foreign press and take it out on SM at the Oscars.

Doesn’t matter if they don’t win, once you get nominated, you always have the title “Oscar Nominated Actor” in front of your name. It’s a huge honor and they were both terrific in their movies.

Loved the color of Angelina’s dress, but prefer her hair tightly back or long and loose. But she’s so gorgeous she can pull anything off (needs to gain a wee bit more weight though).
