Orlando Bloom: Sympathy for Delicious!
Orlando Bloom looks a big grungy, sporting a shaggy new wig and a hole-y t-shirt on the set of his new movie, Sympathy for Delicious, on Tuesday (January 27) in Los Angeles.
The film is about a newly paralyzed DJ (Christopher Thorton), who gets more than he bargained for when he seeks out the world of faith healing. The dramedy is being directed by Mark Ruffalo, who has starred in films like The Brothers Bloom, 13 Going on 30 and Reservation Road.

Monday morning 4am – as I mentioned earlier I was waiting for a pick up at the Roosevelt with eTalk host Ben Mulroney when we saw Orly just getting back from post-Oscar partying. He went upstairs, came back downstairs to an SUV full of eager girls waiting inside. When he opened the back door they were giggling, a lot of negotiation going on – should we, shouldn’t we…remember back in high school? When you and your friends met up with him and his friends and there’s always that moment before the decision, when you didn’t want to seem to eager but you also didn’t want to go home and the boys retreated to a corner and the girls retreated to a corner, and the boys would joke and jock around and make bets on who would get blown first and the girls would hum and haw and analyse it to death before finally coming together in the end anyway?
Well that’s exactly what was going on outside the Roosevelt. The girls were in the car, Orly and his friend were waiting outside the car, then one of the girls started changing her shirt, then he opened the door and they squealed, then he jumped in with his friends and slammed the door, only to re-emerge a few minutes later, giggling all of them, he escorted them off to a side entrance and came round in front again. I’m still smoking my cigarette, he passes by clearly in a good mood because when he made eye contact he said to me – Hello there! How was your night then! And I was like, Great! And you? To which he replied – fantastic, yeah, yeah, always, always, always a good night, you know?
And then he smiled like he expected me to lose my **** right then and there and when I didn’t answer, he took one last leer and hopped inside to join his fan club which did NOT include Penelope Cruz, no matter how hard their publicists keep trying.
PS. The girls? They looked barely 20. No surprise there, right? At least he knows where to troll for success.”
Who knows if it happened or not. It’s not like every girl he took home from clubs was a stunner. He doesn’t exactly strike me as picky. You shippers need to stop using the excuse that everyone who doesn’t like him is either jealous or wants him. He’s not everybody’s dream man. Get over it!

He can have his choice of women. He wouldn’t have to settle for dregs like Lainey. And he certainly didn’t “leer” at her old a$$.
He was being nice to her, and she assumed that he wanted her. When he left, it ticked her off.

Aw, don’t hate on Lainey for being “old.” It happens to all of us eventually, and growing older is a good thing, as you’ll soon discover. Hate on her for being an unfunny, mean-spirited hack that makes Perez Hilton seem like a decent human being instead. ;)
I think OB will do just fine in this film. He’s a decent actor, and those who insist he isn’t should check out more than just PotC. He got derailed with the teen idol thing, but the man has potential. I’m probably wasting my time stating this in Illiterate Psychotic Central, but oh well.

Finally. Bloom is going to try to do some decent acting again in the movie, not in the hair product commercial. He is not in the main role, it is proofed that he can not carry the whole movie himself. But he can do it correctly when it comes to the smaller roles, and when the leading actor is strong and powerful enough . Viggo and Johnny did it in the super popular trilogies LOTR and POTC. I personally did not like Blooms movies after that. He was , how to say it, “weak”. His acting convinced me in nothing. I am really waiting for this movie. He is no more angelic handsome like he was before. He is older. He must play now, he can not count only on his good looking . And somebody here said that he “can learn form good actors he is playing with”. To late, people. He is 32, if he does not know how to act till this age, he will never learn.

Never mind. No not everyone who doesn’t like him is jealous or wants him, but Lainey made it too obvious. She adored him and suddenly started to obsessively hate on him. According to her, because he politely asked her how was her night, what a son of a *****. In my opinion he paid her more attention than she deserves, if we are to believe her when she says that he actually talked to her.
According to most people and some sites that parodied her nasty obsession with him, because he didn’t pay her attention at all, which is the only version that makes sense.
I agree with #79, he might not strike you as picky but when it comes to beauty he definately seems to be.
How is it that every negative comment made about Bloom gets labeled as being someone for Delphi?
So if Lainey is a scorned bitter woman who was rejected by Bloom, and that’s believed to be the basis of her unkind remarks about him, what’s *this* person’s excuse for the nasty comments about Bloom? Scroll down half way, and you’ll see that Orlando has has a rep with some gossips since way back in 2006. Maybe the gossips know something about him that the rest of us don’t. Maybe he’s made some enemies. Who knows? Maybe Lainey saw a side of him first hand that his PR team kept hidden. Maybe she found him smug and arrogant and full of himself. It’s possible. Maybe she just didn’t get all the hype and hoopla that surrounded him or noticed a change in him as a result of it. The following gossip hound must have a gripe with everyone, and Bloom’s no exception. The herpes rumor is a new one to me. This goes back to June 2006. Read on:

Okay. #85 & 86 here. If you type his name into the search engine, you’ll get an archived listing of gossip about him. Select page 9 to jump to stories from 2006, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. I’m not trying to be rude with anyone here. Just making a point that gossips can have their attitudes, but their views and comments usually aren’t any more valid than anyone else’s.
@ curious, I think it’s easier for some people to lump all negative or critical posts about Bloom to one group of people or select individuals than it is to acknowledge that many people have come to see him differently from the way they did years ago. I see it as some people feeling threatened by Bloom’s lack of work for the past couple of years, lackluster reviews from the press and critics about his performances, and certain things about him that are becoming more apparent than they were previously. It just means he’s human, and his image doesn’t match his reality. Some people can accept that and deal with it, along with the leveling out of his career, and some it seems can’t. The labeling of posters, using terms such as “jealous” and “haters” basically eliminates any possibility of having an intelligent discussion or debate. Some people get defensive and/or have strong emotions when it comes to Bloom and his career. It’s all or nothing with some of them.
Opinions are opinions. Lainey can have hers. Bloom’s fans and supporters, etc, on various boars are entitled to theirs. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter.
Obviously I’m not going to check every negative remark made about him and analyze it, as all celebrities have many people who don’t like them and each person says different things, but I think that spreading STD rumours about a celebrity -or any other person- is being lower than the poo of a rat. Even if they weren’t rumours but the truth it is extremely vile to say that and I don’t respect anyone who does that any more than I respect the poo of a rat.
I was talking particularly about Lainey, and her story with Orlando has not only been laughed at by his fans but by more people who aren’t his fans, just to let you know how obvious she was.
Come on people. He’s an actor; it is just his JOB which happens to make lots of money and fame. Do you really care if he has an STD? It’s not like WE’re going to get remotely close to finding out anyway. I think he is a good actor who is trying to take challenging rolls. He is labeled a heart throb and that limits people’s opinion. I read he took time off from acting to “find himself”(my words not his). That is why he hasn’t been in movies recently. He CAN take a lead roll like Kingdom of Heaven and Elizabethtown which were very under rated. Again, it is hard to see a young, good looking heart throb who is on your daughter’s wall succeed at anything serious. KOH was right after 9/11 and no one wanted to see sympathy or emphathy for Islamic people. Look how many web sites Orlando Bloom has……he has to be doing something right besides being good looking.
And I must admit he isn’t hard to look at. : )
Finally..! We get to see Orlando in a new movie….I can’t wait.
He looks hot and sexy but I think he should lose that awful wig and use his own natural hair instead.
Orlando will do a great job with this role. It’s awesome to see him working again. :) I like Franko as an actor. I think he would have done a good job as well…Buyt I’m a big Orlando fan…so I’m really happy for Orlando !!!! Love him! <3

1) a great actor
2) incredibly hot
3) way cooler then you’ll ever be =]
