I have to say Viv looks like an angel in pic number 5. Angie’s hair shines , she looks great.

HAHAHAHA Too Funny, Love it!!! Love this family. Knox is a cutie and so is his Dad.

Thanks Jared. x

I’m loving this too much, how cute. He looks so much like his daddy, thanks for the pictures. You just know Angelina and Brad will get a kick out of this. They seem like such a fun family, the children are so lucky. Wish we had a better picture of Vivi though, I love her big blue eyes. I don’t think Brad is going anywhere EVER, he loves Angelina and his family way to much.

their kids are adorable, that is so nice

cute photoshop pic. Knox is adorable.

They are beautiful. It is nice to see them together again , as usual. Brad is promoting his movie very hard. The haters can say what they want but to Brad he is doing his job and by the way they don’t have to cal the paps. They have been staking out the airport ever since they found out the Jolie Pitts were coming.
God Bless the Jolie Pitts and protect them from the haters many of whom are not well balanced.

Good job at photo shopping Knoxs picture, I bet daddy will hang this portrait up at home. I love this family so much and wish them all the best. It’s been a long six months but worth it, those tabloids can stick it in their butts for lying saying they are sick.

Huh! @ 01/28/2009 at 5:57 am
Are you kidding me? That Baby is mini version of Jon Voight and a combination of Angie and her bro.

Eye the outfits from “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and more recent films, at The Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibit (opening at FIDM).

Movie costumes? They’re something we can all agree on. Whether we’re admiring the manly duds from “The Dark Knight” or a gossamer, drop-waisted dress from “Changeling,” clothes are a major part of the movie-going experience. The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising understands this — after all, “fashion” is in the school’s very name — but, really, FIDM goes beyond mere understanding; every spring the institute hosts the annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design exhibit (which fortunately falls right around Oscar time) to great acclaim.

Here’s the catch: nothing. It’s free to all, and open to apparel aficionados and cinema fans and anyone who loves a well-stitched hem and elegant fedora. And here’s the sartorial line-up for this year, or at least a goodly chunk of it: “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (in fact, several of the costumes from this period-y epic will be on display), “Milk” (stylish suits that are oh-so-’70s San Francisco), and “The Duchess” (humongous, flouncy-skirted gowns that project regalness). Plus “Doubt” and “Mamma Mia!” and lots more.

If you only saw a couple of films last year, you’re likely to see examples from those movies at the exhibit; there are, after all, 125+ costumes from 25 films on display, so the spread is sensational. Among the most notable costumes is likely to be The Joker, worn by Heath Ledger, in “The Dark Knight.”

We never miss this exhibit. The FIDM gallery is beautiful and the costumes? Linger-over-able. We often marvel at how tiny the waists are on some of them, the exqusite, down-to-the-buttonhole detailing and how short/tall we expected a certain actor to be (the names of the performers who donned the clothes are typically on a card nearby).

Make a Saturday morning of it, but just be sure to gussy yourself up a bit; we always feels a tad scruffy after seeing all the lovely things on display, and vow to try harder.

For Oscar voters it’s matter of time, soul
Noms offer a clear look at our preoccupations
By TIMOTHY M. GRAY

So last week’s nominees provide a surprisingly clear look at our current preoccupations: The passage of time (and its devastating, or beneficial, effects) and the attempts of individuals to find their own humanity in a frantic world.

In bed with Daisy, Benjamin Button says, “I was thinking how nothing lasts and what a shame that is.” She replies, “Some things last …”

“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” is a romance, but full of melancholy undercurrents about mortality. It’s just one of the five best-pic nominees concerned with time.

Brad Ange’ and Kids In Tokyo

brad pitt, angelina jolie, tokyo, japan, kids, twins,
The gorgeous family touch down in Japan as Pitt promotes his new film…

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived in Japan yesterday with all SIX of their kids. Regular MTV.co.uk readers will know we get very excited about the cute Jolie-Pitt clan.

Going through the Tokyo airport Brad was carrying tiny six month old Knox Leon- who was dressed in a similar hat to his dad.

Ange’ was holding Knox’s twin sister Vivienne and had two year old Shiloh’s hand. Zahara held her dad’s hand while the older boys Pax and Maddox walked beside their parents.

Both parents were smiling and looked calm despite the potentially stressful situation. The pictures show all the children smiling and not looking fazed by the attention from photographers.

Pitt is currently in Asia promoting his film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. He’s nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for the movie while Jolie is nominated for Best Actress for The Changeling.

LOL, Thanks Jared!!

Angelina Jolie, for 1999’s “Girl, Interrupted”

Sure, it’s just a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, but Angie still didn’t earn it. She was fine playing a mental patient, but how tough is that really? And when you’re up against Chloë Sevigny in the brilliant “Boys Don’t Cry,” well, you should throw out the “It’s an honor just to be nominated” line and walk home empty-handed.

What’s it like working with David Fincher?

He’s a real artist. Every scene he frames is like a painting. I would walk onto the set to see how he’d lined up the shot, and it would be like looking at a Degas or a Lautrec. So it was amazing, getting to dress the people to put in his painting. That’s what I felt like.

Tell me about the Sherpa jacket Brad wore when he met Tilda Swinton as Elizabeth in the elevator.

That was actually a leather jacket based on a military officer seaman’s coat from the ’30s. I figured his wardrobe would all be pretty old, hand-me-downs, or secondhand. It was also really an homage to Gary Cooper in “For Whom the Bell Tolls.”

Tell me about Brad’s driving cap he wears in Paris. Have I seen him wearing that in his personal life?

That was a genuine cap from the ’50s but that style has a quite contemporary feeling. Brad loved those hats from the ’50s so much. It’s very Brando-inspired. Then he had me make him some and he started wearing them when he did press. Every time we see him on a tabloid, he’s got the cap on, and I think, “Darn him! Ruin my thunder like that!”

Cate Blanchett had dance training, right?

One of the first things I tried on Cate were the ballet clothes, and she put those clothes on and become a ballerina. She had studied dance and she would just change her whole posture, even her feet would go out, like dancers’, and her back was straight and she’d tuck her heinie in and she would just become a dancer. You don’t get that with every actress.

What’s one of your favorite outfits in the film?

I have to say Elizabeth Abbott in the elevator wearing the striped mink, is one of my favorite costumes. I looked at a lot of wartime British Vogue magazines. English women were much more conservative, staid and quiet in their dress than Americans. I really wanted to convey that about her character, a certain reticence, of not flaunting your wardrobe or your wealth.

What was one of Brad’s favorite costumes?

Brad loves his brown suit that he wears when he goes to Delmonico’s with Cate. He hasn’t inherited any money yet, so he borrows a Nolan House elderly resident’s suit. We called it his “sad brown suit,” and it became his favorite thing in the movie. He always wanted to wear it. “Give me my sad brown suit” or “my sad brown suit pants.”

How hard was it to make Brad Pitt look elderly?

That was another big challenge, making Brad’s body look old and sagging the clothes out in the bottom and cutting them so they wouldn’t show his perfectly sculpted bottom.

here the others. LOL

“Around the World in 80 Days” (1956)

It’s not as though the rollicking adventure flick starring David Niven and legendary Mexican actor Cantinflas isn’t a good time. But Best Picture? When the competition includes Yul Brynner’s “The King and I”; James Dean’s final film, “Giant”; and Cecil B. DeMille’s legendary “The Ten Commandments”? No, really, “The Ten Commandments.” Here’s a question: Which of the four has held up best in the last half-century? If you said “80 Days,” you’re as wrong as the Academy was.

John Ford, for 1941’s “How Green Was My Valley”

The Academy’s probably kicking itself for this one—Orson Welles’ “Citizen Kane,” which lost Best Picture and Best Director Oscars to John Ford’s flick, is No. 1 on the American Film Institute’s list of the top 100 movies of all time and widely considered the best film ever made. “How Green Was My Valley”? Not on the list. At all. Sorry, John, but you didn’t earn that golden statuette.

“An American in Paris” (1951)

“How can Gene Kelley prancing through Paris with Leslie Caron not be worth the Best Picture Oscar?” you ask? Easy: when it’s competing against the phenomenal Marlon Brando-starring adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Not only did “Streetcar” launch the career of one of the greatest actors of the 20th century, it’s riveting from start to finish. Give “American in Paris” the Best Score prize, but save the big one for a movie with some weight.

Kevin Costner, for 1990’s “Dances With Wolves”

Costner’s ponderous, “Look, Native Americans are people too!” western has its charms, and its place, but Kev didn’t deserve the Best Director Oscar, and not just because he beat out cinematic legend Martin Scorsese, nominated for “Goodfellas.” “Dances” marked his first time behind the camera, and it shows. The next two films he helmed, “Waterworld” and “The Postman,” reflected his, um, lackluster directing talent.

Al Pacino, for 1992’s “Scent of a Woman”

Al’s deserved plenty of Oscars in his career—for “The Godfather,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Glengarry Glen Ross”—but it’s a travesty that the only one he’s won is for his much-mocked “HOO-ah!” role in Chris O’Donnell vehicle “Scent of a Woman.” Just because he was snubbed by the Academy six (!) previous times doesn’t mean he should win for drivel. “Look, I’m driving a sports car and I’m blind!” Seriously?

Cher, for 1987’s “Moonstruck”

It’s Cher. ‘Nuff said.

“Shakespeare in Love” (1998)

Why do people like this movie again? Oh, right, because they’re stupid. Think that’s unnecessarily harsh? Perhaps, but even fans of the fluffy Gwyneth Paltrow period dramedy have to admit that “Shakespeare” isn’t nearly as good as any of the other nominees: “Elizabeth,” “Saving Private Ryan,” “The Thin Red Line” (better than “Ryan,” and by far) and “Life Is Beautiful.” This one’s perhaps the least-deserving Best Picture winner ever.

Marisa Tomei, for 1992’s “My Cousin Vinny”

The year 1993 was clearly not a good one for the Academy. Nor were the ’90s a good decade, come to think of it … Tomei was fine in silly Joe Pesci comedy “Vinny.” Nothing to write home about. Judy Davis in “Husbands and Wives”? Brilliant. Stunning. Genius. This should have been a gimme. Maybe the voting members were afraid Pesci would come around and break their kneecaps if they didn’t pick Marisa?
