Nicole Kidman is Nine for Nine

Nicole Kidman rides shotgun in a light blue Alfa Romeo convertible as she films new scenes for her upcoming movie musical, Nine, in Rome, Italy on Wednesday (January 28).

Her costar Daniel Day-Lewis drove Nicole out of Cinecitta film studios as they filmed a scene involving paparazzi.

Nine is based on the 1982 Tony Award-winning musical of the same name and is being directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha). I have a sinking feeling we’re going to be in for a real treat with this movie!

Plot via Wiki: A middle-aged film director Guido Contini (Day-Lewis) is trying to complete his next film. His only problem is that he has too many women in his life: Luisa (Marion Cotillard), his wife, Carla (Penélope Cruz), his sexy mistress, and Claudia (Kidman), his muse and protege.

I like Nicole Kidman, but she hasn’t made a good movie in this decade. I’ll wait for it to come on cable.

other than actresses that star in romantic comedys, female leads do not make big boxoffice money. This is a sad truth but this is the truth. I am sure that Nicole Kidman is a much better actress then Cameron Diaz or Jennifer Aniston, so how much money her movies are making does not prove anything.
I think Nicole did something that many actresses cannot do. She had actually managed to have her share of boxoffice success and still be viewed as a respected and serious actress. Nicole Kidman is certainly unique.

I don’t really understand why people are Linking the Word Flop to this Movie , So far “ And yet the movie to be released in Major Markets Like Japan , China , Italy , Russia “ Australia Managed to gross 130 Million plus Internationally SO FAR … Note : The movie was JUST released in some countries , that means we looking at around 200 million Plus internationally !!
& SOME IMDB users still call it a FLOP ???!!!!!!!!!!! Explain that please
almost 50 million in the USA so we are talking about 250 million Plus Internationally !!
Honestly am seriously disappointed how could some one call such a movie with such No’s a Flop !! or how on earth would some one blame Kidman for whatever failure the movie did in his-her won imagination !!
Am talking facts & No’s Here , The Movie will be No. 14 or 13 in top grossing Movie OUTSIDE the USA by the end of March EASILY … cause if u look at charts “ Wanted “ Grossed around 200 million Abroad Lasted No. 13 Whereas Twilight Lasted 14 with 141 Million …
So plz relay on Facts when u posting … U maybe didn’t like the movie , or hated the plot , maybe the performance , could be the score …, but to call it a flop is a BIG LIE
Kidman Proved AGAIN & AGAIN that she can Open a movie with great No’s internationally .. simply cause she is a great actress with a wide wide Range of abilities .

I’m an American and like Nicole Kidman, and loved the movie Australia. I don’t understand why it wasn’t successful here because I thought it was one of the better films I’ve seen in some time. Beautiful and stunning. And I might add, if it wasn’t for America Nicole Kidman wouldn’t be the huge movie star she is today. Every actor and actress, no matter where they come from, want to make it in Hollywood. It’s just a simple fact, no matter how messed up our economy is now, it’s still the mecca of the film industry.

Nicole may not be popular in the US, but she is just getting better overseas. Despite all the criticisms for Golden Compass and Australia, those 2 movies have gone on to become major box office hits outside of the US. How is she then a box office poison?

The only real commercial stinker was The Invasion. But how come Daniel Craig never received the blame?

Why Nicole keeps receiving role offers? It’s because the studios know her real worth, not those so-called critics.

Only business men(agents, producers, execs) care about box office. The real artists like Day Lewis and Depp don’t care about that crap.
