Orlando Bloom Wigs Out
Orlando Bloom shows off his shaggy new do in a grungy wig on the set of his new movie, Sympathy for Delicious, in Los Angeles on Wednesday (January 28).
The 32-year-old British actor also sported tattoos, black fingernail polish and suspenders.
The plot follows the life of a paralyzed DJ (Christopher Thorton) who realizes he cures the sick, but can’t help himself from pursuing his rock ‘n’ roll dreams. Bloom is taking over for James Franco, who was originally cast as the lead. Laura Linney will play the band’s manager. Christopher Thornton, who wrote the film, will star as the DJ and Mark Ruffalo will portray a priest.

If that’s the way you feel, then that’s fine. But like I have repeatedly said, reading there is a choice. If you choose to read there, then you choose to piss your own self off. It’s your fault that you’re mad, not mine. Take responsibility for your role in all this.
Oh, i’m not mad about the site. That’s your choice to make it the site that you want. What I find hilarious is the constant claim that Delphi is balanced, unlike the “shipper” sites. That is bull, and I, and others, will continue to call anyone that claims such, hypocrites. You are responsible for that, not me.
I, myself, have NEVER claimed that my site is balanced. What I am saying is every time there is a disagreement there, we don’t always take up arms against each other. People nowadays have this mentality that the sole purpose of a message boards is to argue with each other and cut each other down at every given opportunity. That’s just not true. Sometimes it’s okay to let your friends have their say without having to prove them wrong all the time. But in your eyes that makes me a bad guy for not speaking out every time someone says something I don’t like.
More than anything, I think it bothers you that our site is overwhelmingly populated with people who think that OB has made some bad choices in his career. Just like it bothers you that OL is overwhelmingly populated with people who think that he can do no wrong and you can’t (what’s that word you used? Oh yeah, ) CONTROL they way either site does business. So you come here to complain and make sweeping generalizations.
Only the moderators have say in how they want thing to go down on their site. Either we choose (there it is again) to play by their rules, or we leave. Simple as that.
PS. Since you want to complain about vile comments, I’d love for you to go hang out with the good folks over at D Listed. Then you can wow them with your reason and logic in a disagreement. I doubt a you would last a New York minute in a place such as that, crying the way you do. But don’t take my word for it. Go, I’ll be here when you get back.

Obviously you’re not one of those normal people you speak of. Your argument isn’t about balance or hypocrisy, it’s about the word you used earlier, “control”. Since you’re obviously a shipper, you want to control the negative speech against your idol. Shippers like you don’t ridicule places like OL because they are saying what YOU want to hear. Since that’s not happening over at Delphi, you feel it’s your duty to come here and call us out. Who is being the hypocrite now?
No one made you judge or jury, and going after us hypocrites makes you one as well because you clearly contradicted your balance rant with talk of control. If you want to see the membership at Delphi decline, then stop ranting and raving about us here. Look at all the free advertisement you girls have given us! All our new members are people who sign up to vent when people like you go all batshit crazy and try to control everything. Others just want to know what all the fuss is about. Our membership is growing everyday thanks to people like you.

And if you want to talk membership. Talk about Ka-Bloom. They have over 5,000 members for a reason. Compare that to your pitiful count.

It’s stupid that people think on Delphi people say bad things about Orlando’s family. We don’t, I don’t want to make fun of his family, why, what have they done to anyone. I just talk about the man and his life not his family. I think from the way it looks of it, he has a very sweet looking family. His sister and his mom look like two smart women and his dad looks just like OB.
It’s not his family we want to talk about, it’s about Orlando. We do talk about him with different views, we don’t all think the same. We are not like OL at all, (good thing) we enjoy talking freely about what we think. I have no clue why you would randomly throw in OB’s mom and family into something like this.
It’s not bad choices in his career or I don’t like his shirt what makes people think that you hate him, it is rather -generally unfounded- personal attacks on him what leads people to think so. Also nobody says that you have to blindly worship him, but there is a line between liking without worshipping and constantly attacking him personally. There’s also a line between criticism and insults. Notice, I say this because some of you seemed to be pissed off when it was pointed out that you seem to hate him, all I’m saying is that there is a reason why people think so, that it’s very hard to think of you as fans and that it is difficult to understand why you made a board for him, NOT that you can’t say what you want.
I don’t know much about Dlisted, but while it definately looks like a place full of “people” that make vile comments about ALL celebrities, they don’t claim to be their fans, they use rather childish and dumb insults, and few analyze their lives to try to reach a personal level.

I was hoping that someone might have something intelligent to share.
That is the only reason I came on here today.
But I guess I can give up on that ever happening.
Where is “Knights Into Dreams” or “Fro Fro” anyway?
I brought up D-Listed because a comment was made about vile comments. I never said it was a fan community. The point that I’m trying to make is that there are plenty of places on the web who far worse than us. Even some the “crazies” here are too emotional to survive that place. If places like that are offensive enough for one not to park there and read the crap spewed there day in and day out, then maybe the shippers ought to make the same resolve to do the same with Delphi.
You don’t understand anything, do you? We weren’t discussing the right to have differing views, we were discussing the claims of balance. You aren’t listening to my opinion, so why should I have any further discussion with you? The day that you respect other’s opinions on your site, is the day that you can claim balance. Until then, you will continue to be called a hypocrite.
Control? No. It is about true discussion. Something that isn’t possible on your site.
And the fact that you belong to Ka-Bloom, AND to Delphi, when Delphi is constantly insulting the owner and posters of Ka-Bloom, means that you are even a bigger hypocrite than I thought you were. You must be so proud.

i, for one, think Delphi at least provides an arena where you can post your viewpoint……. even if you get someone coming back at least it goes up there in the first place……
Oh, D-listed is just a place populated with people with a notorious and worrying lack of intelligence and maturity, poor things. How they manage to get an emotional reaction from anyone is a mystery to me.
But my intention wasn’t to compare you to them or to say that you are the worst site in the Internet, and you most definately don’t offend me, I just don’t understand why it comes as a surprise to you that people think that you hate him or what exactly you see in him to think he deserves a board and all that effort to get the latest news/pics about him and discuss them.
Mind you, I have hardly checked your site a couple of times to know what all the fuss was about like you say, and I don’t have the intention to ever post there or bother anyone there.
I think that you hit the nail on the head. How can any delphi member be surprised about their reputation on the web?
I check it out once in a while, and I admit that I haven’t seen every thread. But the threads that I did see, left no doubt in my mind what type of site it is.
That type of negativity is not something that I would want to be a part of.

@13 - Apparently reading comprehension isn’t something you’re particularly good at. It’s obvious that you can’t handle the fact that you’re ‘losing’ this argument, so you’re trying to back track and change your point. Poor thing.
@107 - KaBloom only has 720 members, and the most that has ever been online at one point 400 back in 2006 for Orlando’s birthday (as sad as that is). Stop trying to hype that place up to be more than it is. It’s not the be all end all of the Orlando fandom. I, too, am a member by the way, and its so bloody regimented and strict that I much prefer Delphi simply because I can actually have an opinion that differs from the mod and not be banned for it.
I don’t think that they were “backtracking” at all. It seems like they were just trying to keep to the topic, when little miss delphi kept twisting their words.
And as far as Ka-Bloom, 400 on line *at one time* is a lot better than Delphi with its “40 members active *today*” business, I would say. And at least ka-Bloom is honest about their site. They don’t claim to be anything that they are not, and they continue to be a very reliable site for real information. I’m not a member, because I don’t think that I could follow their rules, but there is no way that I will insult them for *having* those rules.
@122 - Delphi isn’t claiming to be anything other than what it is - an Orlando discussion board. What’s the problem with that?
It’s for venting, not discussion.
The word “discussion” is the problem. There is no honest discussion. There can’t be discussion if only one point of view is tolerated. Sure, they allow some lee way as to the degree of emotions. But if someone went there to discuss the good qualities of Miranda (charity work and her rep for being kind and gracious to her dressers and make up artists for example) they would be insulted, shouted down and abused. You can’t deny that.
@124 - There is plenty of discussion over there and the posters do disagree with each other without being shot down for it. Go over there and post how wonderful you think MK is then - just don’t expect to be treated nicely if you insult the board which is what the other MK lovers have done when posting over there. It works both ways, you know - if you’re nice to us then we’re nice to you. So far though, the shippers haven’t wanted to be nice.
