Jake Gyllenhaal Kicks The Shin Out of Paparazzi
A videographer followed actor Jake Gyllenhaal as he was returning from a scheduled lunch break during jury duty on Wednesday (January 28) in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old frustrated actor was seen walking into a door after pushing instead of pulling and then kicking the videographer’s shin.

FYI: Jake was excused from jury service in the battery case.

I think it’s funny you guys defending papparazzis. It shows you have absolutely no life whatsoever and you live to watch these people’s lives. These people are artists and I think it’s totally okey to photograph them on premiers or promotional events, but photographing their children and putting out news about what toys they bought is way over the line. And some people do come here to read the promotional news, not the stupid gossip and invasive headlines and many harmful headlines like calling Jessica Simpson fat. As far as I’m concerned, paps should be in jail for invading people’s lives. It is not photography, it’s not journalism. It’s a bunch of unpolite wannabes. They should be taking intimate pictures of their cell mates.

I agree that the paparazzi are annoying but in this situation he was confronted by ONE guy. Not a mob, not someone saying horrible insults, they weren’t on his property, near his children or touching him.
Jake overreacted. He looks like a jerk. End of story.
Jake was stuck between doors and guy who pushed camera into his head, he carried food and his hands practically weren’t free, so he punch guy with leg. That whining brat probably overrated the whole thing. :))))
All these people defending Jake are pathetic. What if next time he kicks and spits at a fan running up to him with a camera and wanting an autograph? Would you defend Jake then? Reading all the comments, you probably would. Losers.

Papp overrated the whole thing, like spitting… Jake spit on ground, he didn’t spit on camera…. but still his behavior is not good.

Rural pig farm isn’t that rural, and as soon as someone there sees Reese with her kids and texts one friend, it spreads around and people get word. We live in a day of modern technology. For all you know the owners called paps to brag, or someone saw them on the way out there and followed.
If they attacked photographers all the time it would ruin the day for their kids. Maybe she’s smiling because she doesn’t want to upset her toddler.

if you say we don’t have a life because we like to watch these people’s lives in these websites, what the hell are you doing writng in one of them, I think the one who needs to get a life is you as you take these sites so seriously, we only do it to have fun, at the end of the day these actors, musicians,etc,..are there only to entertain us, that’s why they work for the entertainment industry. Go out on a date or do something better with your life than writing in these sites and critisizing everybody else who does.
Jesus, this guy is spending too much time playing with Reese’s kids, he is becoming one of her children, I saw the 2 videos from TMZ at the court and he dressed and looked like a kid and behaved like a kid, next thing we’ll see is Reese changing his nappies……
Yeah,……and taking him back to school with her kids to learn some manners. That pap from TMZ asked him a very logical and realistic question, if he would be happy to earn $15 or whatever people get when they attend jury service, he probably didn’t like it as he makes so much more money than any ordinary people and thinks he is superior to us,well, maybe it wouldn’t heart to contribute to his country and behave like any working class American doing jury service, that would have given him a taste of reality and see how the other half live.
These people need to come out of the Hollywood bubble and see the real world, man. Why on earth are they getting so much money for doing stupid silly films(I haven’t seen a good film on the cinemas for ages) when the world economy is going through recession. They should pay more tax for the c*ap they do. They don’t even do a proper job,man and when they do charity work is only to promote themselves and they always get paid for that. Why do they have to be excused from tasks that other people have to do like jury service, why the priviledge?
The actors of Hollywood would like win money with all kind of films and they make propaganda for another products too!
They must know that every thing has limit…If they don`t like that the paparazzis follow them, they must stop to show their #as7s# face every time at television or magazines etc…
Nobody look for these bad actors and actresses at present if they disappear for long time!
He should know that is what comes with being a “celebrity”. It is part of the package deal! Fame and paparazzi go together.

I don’t think Jake intended to hit the pap. He was just trying to go about his day. He was trying to just get into the building and the pap was right in his face. If I was walking that closely to someone going into a building I shouldn’t be surprised if I get kicked or hit with the door.
and I don’t think he meant to spit at the pap either. Guys do tend to do some spitting at times and the pap just happened to be there.
If you think the paps are bad now just wait until his POP movie comes out. they’ll be all over him about that.

I feel that he has the right to.I dont see how being a paparazzi isnt a form of stalking because you shouldnt be able to just follow someone’s everymove and that be legal!! Am i right?
papssss, no you are not right. It shouldn’t be illegal when the person who is stalked has called them before 1000 times to promote himsel/herself and heis/her movies, if you are an user, you should allowed the other part to use you as well,50/50. You can’t use the press only when is convinient to you. They are humas,too and they also need the money. JG behaviour with the paps at the court and when he tried to run over then few weeks ago make him look like a spoiled prat. Be a man, Jake!
