Orlando Bloom shows off his shirtless self during a filming break in downtown Los Angeles on Friday (January 30).
The 32-year-old British actor has been shooting his new dramedy, Sympathy for Delicious. Other than his shaggy new wig, Orly sported tattoos along his chest, torso and arms.
There’s tree branches growing out of Orlando Bloom’s chest!
When Orly spotted the 15 photographers snapping his photo, he quickly ran back into his trailer.

Those are called Henna Tattoos actually….they come off after a few days I think.

Henna tattoos? No way, they’re most likely the same type of stick on’s that the makeup people on ‘eastern promises’ used on VM.
Plus you can see on the arm that has the two bands of ink it’s smudged/worn off, henna doesn’t smudge/wipe off.
That said, he looks better now than in those first pictures we got. Maybe they found a decent wig.

I think a motion picture camera and a producer ‘made’ him do it. Makes sense to get in shape for a rock & roll singer type role. He’s slimmed down a bit but lacks real muscle tone. The muscle he had as Paris was better and leaner and more toned. Here, he’s just slimmed down a bit, but doesn’t look like he’s regularly at a gym, IMO.
He’s been w/ Miranda since 2007, so it’s odd that he would start working out for her *now*, don’t you think?

LOL, henna tats have different colouring, they are more brownish shades. I am quite sure movie makers use a semi-permanent body paint for fake tats so they won’t have to re-paint them every time the actors take a shower. They also have to make sure it can’t be sweated off.

Orlando’s always been thin except for a brief period when he purposely gained weight for Kingdom of Heaven. But he dropped it almost immediately after filming ended. I think it has to do with his metabolism or some such. But now that he’s getting older, he seems to be filling out more and doesn’t look as thin. IMO he looks good. Personally I’ve always preferred a man with a lean-but-fit physique (like his) over big brawny muscles - but that’s just me. I think he looks about right, not too thin and not too bulky. Very nice indeed.

I guess I’m not only late to the posting party on this one, but I’m also in the minority. I wish he’d pull up his pants and get a pair of slacks that fit properly for a change. I like the tree branch art work, but I don’t like the black double stripe style tattoo art work. Don’t like the wig, but it’s for his role, so that’s okay. Hooray! The link works! Now THOSE bodies are toned, tight, and have been cared for by some time at a gym. Bloom looks okay, but if we’re talking about male bodies that are really fit and not just slim, the guys in that link are to die for.
He actually has very GOOD muscle tone. You can see that his abdomen, shoulders, back and arms are well muscled. He just isn’t as cut as some guys. He would have to change his diet severely, and loose weight to get like that. That would make his face look gaunt. I think that he looks beautiful, just the way he is. He looks strong and healthy. His body looks like the body that you get with pilates (sp?). Strong, but not overdone. That is just how I like my men.

He does have great muscle tone. His abs, back, chest and shoulders are very well defined. He just hasn’t dieted down to get rid of most of his body fat, like you would have to do to get that cut look.
I would much rather my men look like Orlando. He looks great, without looking like he spends every waking moment checking out his abs in the gym mirrors.
I agree, he’s ‘toned’ but not to the point that he looks unnatural. I honestly think he looks great just the way he is - slim yet filled out where he needs to be (i.e. shoulders, arms and back). assuming that the tree is fake, no way is it henna. you can’t perfectly match it and since movies are filmed out of order it has to remain a perfect match. they would use the same printable tats used on Eastern Promises and Prison Break, which by the by use a tech developed by shows like Lost that needed to keep bruises the same. (shag a makeup artist and you learn a lot)

I know I’m being obnoxious (again) by posting the same thought on more than one thread, but this online article about Eric Bana really is worth reading. I’m surprised that Orlando Bloom has not been able to emulate the likes of Bana, Mortensen and Depp in some areas of his life, especially in light of his past admirable mentions of them in his interviews. I was wondering what would be the haters’ new complain and I find out that they are bitching on him now because he separated from her for 30 seconds, and as far as I know, the paps are not rapists/murderers and she is not physically disabled, she seems to be able to get out of a car and walk into a building by herself. From here to complaining because he breaths, only one step.
But of course, if they had walked inside together, the set up and showmance **** would be the norm. The only goal: to hate on him no matter what.

Orlando Bloom is just doing his JOB. He can hold his own and play lead rolls. Kingdom of Heaven and Elizabethtown were under rated because he is “so cute.” Movie critics liked those movies.
