Orlando Bloom is Sympathy Shirtless
Orlando Bloom shows off his shirtless self during a filming break in downtown Los Angeles on Friday (January 30).
The 32-year-old British actor has been shooting his new dramedy, Sympathy for Delicious. Other than his shaggy new wig, Orly sported tattoos along his chest, torso and arms.
There’s tree branches growing out of Orlando Bloom’s chest!
When Orly spotted the 15 photographers snapping his photo, he quickly ran back into his trailer.

i think the tree tat is fake….why would he just randomly and suddenly get a tree tat that’s real and his arm/arms too. anyways he looks very fit and the facial hair is the best…i hate when he takes it off.

Why doesn’t he have any body hair? I don’t get this trend for men to be hairless–makes them look like 13 year olds.
Orlando’s always been thin except for a brief period when he purposely gained weight for Kingdom of Heaven. But he dropped it almost immediately after filming ended. I think it has to do with his metabolism or some such. But now that he’s getting older, he seems to be filling out more and doesn’t look as thin. IMO he looks good. Personally I’ve always preferred a man with a lean-but-fit physique (like his) over big brawny muscles - but that’s just me. I think he looks about right, not too thin and not too bulky. Very nice indeed.

With him it isn’t a “trend”. He just doesn’t have much hair on his body at all. Never did. At least from the waist up, anyway.

And the tree tattoo is fake. In a couple of the pictures you will notice that pieces of a couple of the branches have worn off. And it looks like they may have altered his sun tat, but I haven’t seen a good enough pic to tell. I think that we will need a close-up of that area…..paps…are you listening?

I think he looks just fine the way he is.
Everyone looks fine just the way they are, celebrity or not.
As long as you are comfortable with yourself, why change, just because a certain group of people think that you should? Not sure what that group is exactly other than the “collective them”.
And he could get hair on his chest if he wanted to. But I’m not gonna say how. I’d be too afraid he would try it and see if it works, just in case he happens to read these or friends of his do and dare him to do it.
Not sure if he has out grown that yet or not.
But I have to agree with “Smooth” on the “hairy guys”, not very appealing to me either.
the tree branch is a great idea for a tattoo. the tree and the band around his arm are for the movie, but the sun near his belly button is real.
I guess I’m not only late to the posting party on this one, but I’m also in the minority. I wish he’d pull up his pants and get a pair of slacks that fit properly for a change. I like the tree branch art work, but I don’t like the black double stripe style tattoo art work. Don’t like the wig, but it’s for his role, so that’s okay. I don’t consider his physique well toned; he’s slim but lacks good muscle tone. For examples of a well toned and gym-worked body, as compared to one that’s just slim but not ‘tight,’ go here:

Hooray! The link works! Now THOSE bodies are toned, tight, and have been cared for by some time at a gym. Bloom looks okay, but if we’re talking about male bodies that are really fit and not just slim, the guys in that link are to die for.
He actually has very GOOD muscle tone. You can see that his abdomen, shoulders, back and arms are well muscled. He just isn’t as cut as some guys. He would have to change his diet severely, and loose weight to get like that. That would make his face look gaunt. I think that he looks beautiful, just the way he is. He looks strong and healthy. His body looks like the body that you get with pilates (sp?). Strong, but not overdone. That is just how I like my men.
How come you think he lacks muscle tone? You can see the prominence of his abs, shoulders and arms.
I believe you are a minority not only among OB’s fans but in general, not many women are attracted to those guys that live in the gym, only eat protein shakes and put oil on their body….yuck, they only lack the leopard thong! LOL
Give me a naturally toned man any day over those.
You are also a minority if you want your men to pull up their pants, IMHO ;)
