Orlando Bloom is Sympathy Shirtless
Orlando Bloom shows off his shirtless self during a filming break in downtown Los Angeles on Friday (January 30).
The 32-year-old British actor has been shooting his new dramedy, Sympathy for Delicious. Other than his shaggy new wig, Orly sported tattoos along his chest, torso and arms.
There’s tree branches growing out of Orlando Bloom’s chest!
When Orly spotted the 15 photographers snapping his photo, he quickly ran back into his trailer.

He`s CUTE !!!
Sorry, I disagree.
He does have great muscle tone. His abs, back, chest and shoulders are very well defined. He just hasn’t dieted down to get rid of most of his body fat, like you would have to do to get that cut look.
I would much rather my men look like Orlando. He looks great, without looking like he spends every waking moment checking out his abs in the gym mirrors.
I agree, he’s ‘toned’ but not to the point that he looks unnatural. I honestly think he looks great just the way he is - slim yet filled out where he needs to be (i.e. shoulders, arms and back). I don’t think overworked ‘bulging’ muscles are all that attractive, never have. He looks sexy to me here.
i hope that tree is for the film cause it is ugly. and I hope that Orlando loves going to the gym or that body is going to look gross fast when all that muscle softens
assuming that the tree is fake, no way is it henna. you can’t perfectly match it and since movies are filmed out of order it has to remain a perfect match. they would use the same printable tats used on Eastern Promises and Prison Break, which by the by use a tech developed by shows like Lost that needed to keep bruises the same. (shag a makeup artist and you learn a lot)
Why do his fans have to turn everything into a fight? The years you’ve spent b!tching and bullying each other all in his name is mindboggling and now you’re p!ssing over his muscles? You all need therapy. Unbelievable.
A fight? Since when is respectfully disagreeing and talking about your preferences fighting?
I think that this person is just trying to stir up trouble. Or maybe they are too young to realize that you can disagree without “fighting”.
Oh dear god! Orlando is SO HOT! He is definitly my favourite actor of all time!! And yeah whats with all the MK talk this post isn’t about her so go get a life people!
@Boys to men: some guys don’t have chest hair, back hair etc. they don’t wax etc they just never had any. Orlando is likely one of them
@Deja Vu2: get off the pants. he’s on set, in costume for a role. if they wanted him to wear a bra and a plaid mini skirt that’s what he would be wearing.
@all the folks noting that he was in a robe other days and not this time. had a chance to talk to the makeup artist I mentioned earlier and he said the change may be required. if it’s the same tat material as Viggo and Wentworth the stuff is sticky. think putting double sided tape on. if he had a shirt on it would mess up the tat.
@Lucas: ROFL re: comment to Deja vu2. (And I don’t doubt you’re right on about that one!)
Just so you know, 99% of the comments going, he’s a lousy actor, he’s getting old, he’s fat…
It’s just a sad kid called Gibson trying to stir the pot & trolling around the net, because he has no life and the whole world is out to get him. Too bad people keep feeding the troll. He has no life, no job, just a sugardaddy to enable his 24/7 internet frenzy. Boohoo Gib!
Some of Orlando’s fans are really disturbing, the worst being the Delphi forum fangirls, they think he is a liar and a fake yet they scour the internet for any little information about him, weird!……..The funniest and at the same time scariest is their amazing ability to know exactly what he is thinking and feeling all by examining photos of him…….I mean this is a true gift, being able to read peoples minds from looking at pictures……lol!!
Que homem lindo…. santo Deus!
Esse foi abençoado.
Oh, I agree. These ‘conspiracy freaks’ who are constantly compelled to read something negative or insidious into everything the man does, says, or even sometimes doesn’t say, obviously have very disturbed thought processes. In my view it borders on irrational obsession.
Seriously.
Orlando has a “woodie”. Heh-heh.
Tree woodie - yeah. (-:
Dont worry Orlando. Its almost March. The year is almost up.
What can I say!!! HE IS SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!
I know I’m being obnoxious (again) by posting the same thought on more than one thread, but this online article about Eric Bana really is worth reading. I’m surprised that Orlando Bloom has not been able to emulate the likes of Bana, Mortensen and Depp in some areas of his life, especially in light of his past admirable mentions of them in his interviews. He’s had the best examples in the business to learn from, in so many ways. He should take notes from his “good buddy” Eric and do the same things – if he really values his privacy and wants substance in his life. IMO, of course. That’s just how I see things, personally. Bana has a great and level head on his shoulders. He was already married by the time he was 30 and had his priorities set straight. I love how he references his wife in the interview; he’s very happily married. I copied and pasted some key segments which seem timely right now regarding Bloom.
http://www.theage.com.au/news/executive-style/culture/its-out-of-sight-for-eric-bana/2009/02/02/1233423099013.html
People don’t hassle him, he says; he’s part of the furniture. “At a shopping mall people might want to take photos,” says his wife, Rebecca Bana, “but it’s so rare. On a day-to-day basis, he just blends in.” He flies under the radar in the media too, rarely appearing in the social pages and avoiding interviews. “It’s about staying away from celebrity,” he says. “If you allow that world to consume you, it will kill you.”
Bana sometimes wonders how much further he could take his career if he lived in Los Angeles; if he didn’t have kids he’d probably be based there. That said, relatively few films are actually made in California - he’s made as many in Malta as he has in LA. “No matter how you do it, it is a pain in the ****, so just do the one that is the most practical. For us, it works and there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. I’d rather the hassle of the extra travel and be at home when I’m not working,” he says. “But the real reason I live here is because I was born here. This is where all my family and friends are. It’s my hometown. I think it’s as great, if not better than, any other city in the world.”
It delights him that when he runs into old school friends they’re not interested in what it’s like to make movies with Brad Pitt and “good buddy” Orlando Bloom. “It’s like, ‘You don’t still have that big white Falcon that you used to drive to school, do you?’”
Despite living in such different worlds - Bana defines them as the working actors’ world, the “normal” world, and the celebrity world - he insists he doesn’t feel torn between them. “Two of those are very real; the third one doesn’t consist of much and I have nothing to do with it. There is a whole celebrity industry that is complete bullshit and it’s not something I ever have to deal with.” He walks the red carpet just a couple of nights each year. “Unless you’re Paris Hilton, you’re a deer in the headlights. It is the weirdest part of the job but it’s necessary and I’ve got to the stage where I try to enjoy it as much as I can.”
@144
good for those actors you named. maybe you should go to their threads to sing their praises. unless you’re getting your judgemental jollies using other actors to put look down on another actor which is kinda loserish you know.
Oh for heaven’s sake. You are comparing Orlando’s life to Eric Bana’s? That is just stupid.
How in the world are they similar? Did Eric shoot to worldwide stardom after his first movie? Was he the most googled person at the age of 25 (or any age, for that matter)? Was Eric working on huge movies non stop for 8-9 years? No? Then you can’t compare them. That is a ridiculous try at an insult.
If you are going to compare careers, try comparing him to Leo. You know, still single, model dating, shot to stardom at an early age Leo. Leo, who lives in LA because that is where deals are made, no matter where the movie is filmed. Leo who also had to drop out of sight to shed the teen-idol image. that is a more accurate comparison.
As for Johnnie? I’m afraid Johnnie would suffer from the comparison to Orlando at the same age. Orlando hasn’t been arrested for trashing a hotel room. He hasn’t been found in possesion of narcotics. He hasn’t been engaged to every starlet he dated. Etc. Etc. Even Johnnie himself, has said that he is NOT the right person to be giving out advice, yet you want Orlando to emulate him? Oh hell no! Johnnie at 45 is a lot different than Johnnie at 30.
Orlando is doing just fine. He has handled his stardom with grace. He isn’t a druggie, or a big partier. He hasn’t taken roles simply for the paycheck, and he is now in the process of re-defining his career. Sure, he dates beautiful women, but why not? He may not be ready to settle down for years. I say that he should have fun while he is young. He has plenty of time to settle down.
Comparing Orlando to men in their forties is ridiculous.
I second everything you say, but don’t expect these people to accept a comparison with Leo DiCaprio, because their hypocrisy would be highlighted as he dates a model and gets papped too.
They like to compare him to Johnny Depp but of course ignoring all his past, ages worse than Orlando’s -IF Orlando’s present is bad at all- or ignoring that his wife has given interviews in which she only -that means exclusively- talks about Johnny or that she used a drawing by him as the cover for one of her albums. But they are St. Johnny and St. Vanessa because they aren’t Orlando Bloom and any woman that might dare to date him.
By the way deja vu, I agree that Bana is a cool dude, and you clearly admire him and despise Orlando so it’s clear what the right fandom for you is. We’ll miss you and all that jazz.
“Comparing Orlando to men in their forties is ridiculous.”
Comparing Orlando to anyone who can act is ridiculous. Lets not even go there.
Age however has nothing to do with the poor choices he has made in the past year. That excuse may have still worked if he was in his early 20’s, but he’s not. He’s 32 for crying out loud and that said I have tons of male friends who are ten years younger then him and already seem to condust themselves with more responsibility and integrity then him. Not to mention his trampy ho who is almost 26yrs old and still behaves like she’s in highschool. So please dont bring the age thing into it. Lacking years is -and never will be- an excuse for lacking intelligence.
First, I believe that the comparisons weren’t about acting skills. Second, few people have complaints about the responsibility and integrity of a man that is selective with the roles he accepts, does charity, is kind to his fans and loyal to his friends&family. The integrity and decency of people who judge and slander strangers out of speculation is more worrying.
@98
don’t know your friends so don’t know if they are as mature as you claim. at 10 years younger than bloom, sorry, i can’t see it especially if they count you as a friend. mature people no matter their age don’t waste time slagging other people. case in point dicaprio, depp, mortensen, bana trash other actors or their s.o.
