Saturday Night Live newcomer Abby Elliott impersonates mother-of-six Angelina Jolie during the “Weekend Update” of yesterday’s episode. Watch the video below and here’s the transcription:
Seth Meyers: It was revealed on Thursday that the California woman who gave birth to octuplets already has six other children. What? Angelina Jolie? What, what are you doing here?
Angelina Jolie: I heard someone had eight babies…does she want all of them?
SM: Yeah… I mean, I think she does, yes.
AJ: Where’s [your co-anchor Amy Poehler]?
SM: Oh, she left.
AJ: Did she take her baby with her?
SM: Yeah, she did.
AJ: Too bad, I could always use a new baby.
SM: So, um, are you excited about the Oscars?

The whole Angelina and her adoptions’ saga is getting pretty stale. My favorite wrestler Bret Hart came from 12 children and no one seemed to bash his family.
LOL everyone is on to her. The blush is off the rose. The “can’t do anything wrong jolie,” now can’t get anything right.” The media is on to her games and over-the-top behavior. LOL She shouldn’t have put herself out there to be slapped down…should have just been quiet and raised her kids.LOL This is good stuff.

I did not think that was funny at all. One day her children will be old enough to surf the web and they will not find it amusing people making fun of their family. So what is she likes kids? She has the resources to take in children who would otherwise be in the streets, dead, or a carrier of disease.

I like the way they kept her with the pouted lips because she feels that if she is seductive enough she can get away with anything. How will the fans spin this one. the saddest thing about this SKIT is that this is about adoption…instead of treating the topic as something great …they went on to make a joke about it. Since that is what they did, it is suffice to say, none of the actors/actresses on SNL have a big heart to adopt an orphan but they have it in their heart to mock adoption.

do you why SHE-MAN hosted SNL? It’s because she couldn’t get any work anywhere else. She was lucky for getting the skit. Major studio doesn’t want her to play the lead in Marley & Me; therefore, they put owen and that cute dog. As for Angie not on SNL, Angie is too busy doing movies therefore she is not available to do SNL.

Um, did we watch the same skit? :lol: I’m a huge Angie fan, and I thought the skit was cute & funny, and the girl playing her was beautiful as she’s supposed to be when playing Angelina of course - hahaha.
She didn’t come across as rude or snobby either - are you even watching the same skit - she was ust interested in the babies - :lol: she wasn’t even interested in the Oscar talk Seth tried to start at the end. hahaha.

The skit was like 3 secs long though - they should have made it longer — it didn’t seem like much of a slam to me. I loved how the audience when Seth introduced her, and says ‘Angelina Jolie!’ all surprised she was standing there - and the whole audience erupts into ‘Whoooo-whooos, catcalls and whistles.’ Grrl was channeling Angie she was hot. :)

I was soooo waiting for you to post on this, Jared. I saw it last night and thought that the woman who played Jolie, Amy Elliot, saved the show and nailed the impression. For a second, I thought that it could have been Jolie. The makeup department really did their job.
I thought the skit was hilarious too, just playing into what we all know. And that’s that Jolie is child-obsessed. And there’s nothing wrong with that.
I’m wondering if the producers, particularly Lorne Michaels, is angling for the real Jolie to show up on the show, being that she’ll start filming the movie “Salt” in New York sometime in the near future. They should really think about doing that. Not only will it please us Jolie and Brangelina fans immensely, but I’m sure it would be one of the highest-rated SNL shows.
I am sure SNL will do a skit for a dog collector Aniston. You know she’s a beeyocth herself!

There is something really weird about that whole business. I can’t think of a reputable IVF facility in the country who would do an in vitro on a woman who already had six children. IVF costs about $12,000 a pop. If she’s on welfare, who paid for it, and why would anyone pay for it if she already had six older kids? Now she has 14 children, no husband, and her mother is saying she is not going to help her any longer. It’s a freaking mess.

That wasn’t even funny. I get what they tried to do, but adopting kids is not funny. It didn’t seem to go over with the live audience either. It really was kind of awkward. Maybe they should have spoofed something else Angelina did. That skit missed the mark by a mile.

This was the funniest skit ever because it portrays Angelina the way that people really see her. She has become a complete joke in the celebrity world and people are laughing at her because her charade is no longer working. I see that nobody on this thread can even dispute this. In fact nearly every response I’ve read is trying to discredit Jennifer Aniston. You’re trying to divert the attention away from how people perceive Jolie by changing the subject and attacking someone who has nothing to do with this. Why is that? Angelina will be so seething mad after seeing this that every knife in her collection will be firmly implanted into the wall. And when that doesn’t satisfy her she’ll move on to Maddox’s knife collection. The Oscars should be pretty entertaining if she doesn’t chicken out from going.

My idol is Mariska Hargitay and if she was spoofed on SNL I must have missed it. Now that is a classy lady. A NATURAL beauty, gorgeous beyond belief (looks just like her mother Jayne Mansfield), very down-to-earth, keeps herself healthy, doesn’t abuse drugs, doesn’t try to get what she wants by using sex, not a psycho, no suicide attempts, not endlessly collecting babies to fill a void in herself, doesn’t cut herself, is a hands-on mother to her child, is married to the father of her child, a wonderful person who does charity work and doesn’t flaunt it by saying “Look at me!!” Anyway thanks for asking about her so I could give her a shout out on here!! It’s a fact that AJ likes kids..and has been fortunate enough that she has now Brad to share rearing their children(bio and adopted) together. Honestly there are WAY worse things out there that Brad and Angelina’s kids are going to see. This skit is the last thing you need to worry about. Just wait until they see all of the naked pictures of their mother all over the internet, watch any of her earlier movies, and hear about all of the self-destructive things she has done and is still doing. Angelina isn’t adopting children by herself. Both she and Brad (her life partner) have made the mutual decision to adopt and care for the children they choose to bring into their family.
Maybe Brad is in a trance-like state and only thinks he wants children? Does she force him to adopt and get her pregnant?
They are - both of them - living the life they choose and paying their own expenses while they are doing it. Plus giving away $ to others. Anyone who has a problem with that need to look at their own motives.

It’s mandatory here in the US children receive food, housing, medical and schooling free of charge if they can’t afford it. I couldn’t imagine where little Zahara would be today if Angelina and Brad didn’t rescue her, I’m affraid to say she might not be here today because she was really sick and needed hospitalization. Even Brad got sick from going there and also hospitalized. Not every child will be as fortunate as Zahara.

thx teri for posting this.. Everytime I hear comments about Ange looking less than perfect or how her kids dont look dressed to the nines.. I think of her comments about how she is glad that the kids are healthy.. it means a lot to her because she has seen Zahara fighting for her life.. This is why when she made the comment that she is more inclined to feel for Z and that whole brouhaha was made abt it in the media, they had no idea where she was coming from in that statement.. Here was a child left behind in an orphanage.. and then was fighting another infection after adoption.. was very very sick and had to be nurtured to health. ..
Compassion is a trait that Ms Jolie has in spades.. People can spoof her all they want or write tabloid stories about her, but she has made some real changes in the world.. Teri, I quite agree with you. The only reason all these haters continue to hate Angie is because she adopted Asian and black kids, had they been white she won’t attract all these criticisms. S/Stone has 3 or 4, white kids as a single mom, all blond hair and paid for and no one is criticising her even though they were paid for like commodities. Rosie O’Donnel has 3 or 4 and same thing and a lesbo but is anyone criticising her? hell no. Angie has everything, beauty, talent, kindness and a man who adores her and they are eaten up with envy. I have a nanny and I still consider myself a hands on parent.. A nanny helps when you are at work.. when you are back home, you take over.. basically the kid will enforce you take over if the nanny is a 24 hr one.. And there is nothing wrong with having help, it doesnt make you a lesser mom.
Her kids are all well behaved, perfectly attached to their parents, their parents love them, they are well nurtured children.. And if she feels she can adopt another or have another kid biologically then so be it.. remember one of the rights.. is the right of pursuit to happiness..

I am glad you found the humor in the SNL spoof because that was all there was to it.. it was a spoof.. Angelina makes faces, as you say, because she is walking the red carpet.. those are camera shots .. In every one on one interview, she comes across as an engaging, charming and intelligent persona. Yes, she talks about her children.. but if you pay attention, so does everyone else.. including non celebs. People somehow surmise she is the brand ambassador for motherhood.. My aunt, who was by no means rich, had nannies to help care for her eight children. She was the dean of one of the colleges in a university, so she needed help with the mundane daily tasks like changing the diapers, feeding, the children, but when it came to discipline, and loving, and nurturing, and educating, it was all her, not the nannies.

Lets not argue about nannies because obviously those who criticize the JPs do not know what its like to have a thriving career while raising children and can afford help. I am an accountant and currently attend law school, I have a 9 year old. His dad is a doctor and now lives in London part time as part of a charity program he heads. So can I do it alone, of course not. We have someone that picks him up from school, gets him lunch and drives him to his karate class. Does it mean that our son is not attached to us? My son gets the best education our money can buy and I am sorry but he enjoys his visits to London, Paris, Africa, etc. As long as he is there with his mum and dad he could not care less. Oh his vocabulary is superb as he is now fluent in French and Spanish. I cannot fault those who criticize because they are small minded and unaware. They do not know what’s it like to have to live outside of their small box. Americans in general tend to be so narrow minded. In most cultures outside the US, nannies are the norm. I grew up with 2 nannies, they took care with me while my parents were out of the country obtaining advanced degrees. Well now I am fortunate myself to have an excellent education which led me to my very well educated husband. So please do not knock it down unless you have experienced it yourself.

Angie is the top paid actress, she is in the top 10 of favorite actresses. She is an influential woman. So despite how the trolls try to spin this, it is just a joke and but not an offensive one. As for the poses, all female actresses/celebrities pose for the photogs on the red carpet. Angie just does it better than others, because she has a sensual dimension to her that other female actresses/celebrities do not have.

The perversity of these slaggers continually amazes me. Many of them have spent endless hours over a number of YEARS obsessing over their hatred of the Jolie Pitts.

They have spent years now creating Angelina and family attack sites, blowing up pictures of Angelina, Brad and ALL the kids for minute analyses, they write anti-fan fiction, they track down personal info so they can chart their “horoscopes,” they consult psychics about Jolie & Pitt’s future, and they even plan campaigns to swarm on numerous gossip sites to spread lies about Jolie and Pitt. The latest site they have infiltrated wit their fakery is Datalounge.

I guess the ultimate insanity is when they actually tried to personally contact Jennifer Aniston to warn her how “evil” Jolie was and then contacted a number of gossip columnists [ in real life! ] pretending they had “inside” info on the JPs. These are the people who have no life. They are as relentless in their odd obsession as that guy who tracked down and murdered Rebecca Schaeffer.

I don’t know who she is, but she looks kind of thin - maybe Angelina and I should adopt her”.
Now that was funny.

OUCH!

It’s not that John Mayer isn’t that into Jennifer Aniston — he’s just too busy for her.
The rocker, who was caught on a business date with a beautiful blond last week at Marix Tex Mex restaurant in Santa Monica, was back with Aniston at a private Super Bowl bash in Calabasas, Calif., on Sunday. And while that may signal another “on” phase for the on-again/off-again couple, pals say Mayer is way too busy for a serious relationship with Aniston, and instead wants to focus on himself.
“John’s goal is to keep a low profile this year, and Jen is about as far off from low-profile as you can get,” a source tells us. “He just wants to keep out of the spotlight and finally concentrate on his music.”
Mayer is working on an album tentatively titled “Battle Studies,” a followup to 2006’s “Continuum.” “He’s always in and out of the studio,” a second insider reveals. “That’s his focus.”
In addition to his music, Mayer is in talks to film a sketch-comedy show for CBS. “It’s more of a variety show that will resemble VH1’s ‘John Mayer Has a TV Show,’ ” says the snitch. “That’s where his bear skit was born, so think along those lines. Combine a bunch of funny shorts, and you’ll have the show.”
And what about Aniston, whose flick “He’s Just Not That Into You” opens Friday? Insiders say she’s sick of her inconsistent relationship with Mayer.
“He keeps her in limbo,” the snitch reports. “She and John see each other and sleep with each other, but are they getting ready to walk down the aisle? No. Jennifer knows that. But at the same time, no girl wants to spend every night alone. She needs to accept the title of her new movie to be the title of her life.”
Mayer’s rep says, “We do not comment on John’s personal life.”
If things don’t work out with Mayer, Aniston has a second singing suitor waiting in the wings: “Rock of Love” bad boy Bret Michaels.
“Bret is really crushing on Jen,” a pal of Michaels confides. “He says she’s the kind of girl you can have a good time with, but can still take home to Mom.”
While we think Michaels could rock Jen’s love, a Mayer pal says: “Jen can date whoever she pleases, but she should keep in mind that John’s tour bus is so much better than Bret’s!”

I hate to bring some negativity from such a loser as Ted C. But he has a video up on his little section on E! talking about Brad and Angie are sore loser and what not. The first thing I want to say is that he sits there and tells a lie that they did not attend the afterparty of the globes. They did and there is a video of it. They also told reporters that they had to leave after the saags to go to japan so what is his problem. He has a burning hatred for Angelina though he continues to say she’s chilly and they have been acting like jerks this award season. My thing is if you do not like someone why do you continually write and talk about them why? somebody help him. It’ s my guess that hardly anyone at E! cares for her because she snubbed the heck out of Seacrust (Chelsea H recet hate rant) but he deserved it. What he said and did to her and then wants an exclusive interview. And he adds that the academy is taking notes of it. Does he honestly think Brad and Angiew talking to some entertainment show will hurt their chances at an Oscar. Futhermore an oscar win isn’t their main objectives in life. It doesn’t mean crap to some people and getting all dressed up and prancing around like u r special doesn’t mean squat to Angie she’s already told them that.
