…If adopting babies is the worst charge they can level at Angie (such an old joke)….then that’s not the worst thing anybody has had said about them!…

The poster above has asked a very valid question.

Angelina isn’t adopting children by herself. Both she and Brad (her life partner) have made the mutual decision to adopt and care for the children they choose to bring into their family.

Maybe Brad is in a trance-like state and only thinks he wants children? Does she force him to adopt and get her pregnant?

They are - both of them - living the life they choose and paying their own expenses while they are doing it. Plus giving away $ to others. Anyone who has a problem with that need to look at their own motives.

I love Angelina and Brad, they’ve really changed my opinion about adopting in war torn countries and countries that don’t provide adequate medical, food or housing. It’s mandatory here in the US children receive food, housing, medical and schooling free of charge if they can’t afford it. I couldn’t imagine where little Zahara would be today if Angelina and Brad didn’t rescue her, I’m affraid to say she might not be here today because she was really sick and needed hospitalization. Even Brad got sick from going there and also hospitalized. Not every child will be as fortunate as Zahara.

Six-month-old Zahara Marley Jolie, already under-weight at just 9 lbs., wasn’t drinking enough formula. Jolie took Zahara for a checkup—and wound up spending a week by her daughter’s side in a New York City hospital as the baby battled a bacterial infection that, left untreated, could have been life-threatening. “Like anybody else,” Jolie “was a mom who was very concerned and afraid,” says Dr. Jane Aronson, the pediatrician and expert in international adoption medicine who treated Zahara. “She didn’t know what the answers were going to be. She was really afraid that the baby wouldn’t get better.”

Fortunately, after being treated with fluids for dehydration and antibiotics to combat what Aronson eventually diagnosed as a salmonella infection, Zahara left the hospital “happy and gurgling” July 15 with a clean bill of health, says Aronson. “She’s a fighter.” A friend of Jolie’s says the ordeal was “an extremely emotional time” for the actress. “She was there 24 hours a day, keeping watch,” says Aronson. “She kept saying how much she admired her baby. She had so much admiration and respect for Zahara’s strength.”

Children are dying by the thousands in other countries and some Americans are worried about Zaharas hair? really?

thx teri for posting this.. Everytime I hear comments about Ange looking less than perfect or how her kids dont look dressed to the nines.. I think of her comments about how she is glad that the kids are healthy.. it means a lot to her because she has seen Zahara fighting for her life.. This is why when she made the comment that she is more inclined to feel for Z and that whole brouhaha was made abt it in the media, they had no idea where she was coming from in that statement.. Here was a child left behind in an orphanage.. and then was fighting another infection after adoption.. was very very sick and had to be nurtured to health. ..

Compassion is a trait that Ms Jolie has in spades.. People can spoof her all they want or write tabloid stories about her, but she has made some real changes in the world.. There are kids around the world that have a little more stability in their lives because Ange has done something for them.. be it in Cambodia, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Sudan, Chad, countries in Central america, India, Vietnam.. and countless other nations..

So, they make joke about Angelina and Brad adopting children. So what?

I don’t think JP Fans have anything to defend. There is no question to me that Brad and Angelina are saving the lives of the children they adopt. Better to make a joke out of Angelina’s and Brad’s predilection to adopting children than making a joke of someone for being fat, or being too thin, or being a cutter or having an emotional meltdown.

To the morons that compare average people that have a lot of kids to Jolie; the average parents don’t hire nannies to care for their kids.

Honestly, why have kids if they’re being raised by nannies? Don’t feed me the crap about Jolie-Pitt being hands on parents; because they’re not around most of time to do that.

There’s a very easy solution for avoiding having someone “rammed” down your throat. Don’t look, don’t click. I mean, for a while there, Anna Nicole Smith’s death was all over the papers, the internet , everywhere. Than there’s Britney spears and then there’s Paris’s jail term.

Do I know about these people and what happened to them? Sure I saw the headlines. But I deliberately didn’t click on the news on ANS or BS or PH because frankly, ANS and BS were utterly tragic news and I don’t want to reward the tablies and blogs by clicking on their ghoulish and exploitative stories and photos of these people. and Paris - why, would I give more than a 1 second glance at a headlines which said she’s been in jail?

I am glad you found the humor in the SNL spoof because that was all there was to it.. it was a spoof.. Angelina makes faces, as you say, because she is walking the red carpet.. those are camera shots .. In every one on one interview, she comes across as an engaging, charming and intelligent persona. Yes, she talks about her children.. but if you pay attention, so does everyone else.. including non celebs. People somehow surmise she is the brand ambassador for motherhood.. She is not one and she isnt trying to make motherhood any more appealing than it is.. she has confessed on its trials and tribulations a dozen times. so before judging, give it a thought.
