Kate Winslet is Back to Black
Kate Winslet opts for a black Helmut Lang dress as she attends the 2009 Oscar Nominees Luncheon held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Monday.
The 33-year-old English actress is up for Best Actress for her performance in The Reader.
Speaking about her role in the film to her two kids, she said, “They got mightily fed up with me reading bedtime stories with a German accent! They said, ‘Mum, just be plain. Don’t do any funny stuff like voices. Just be regular!’”
Kate went on to say, “I had to say, ‘But, I’m not regular and I’m never going to be regular. When you’re a teenager you’re going to know that it’s cool!’”

I’m so happy Kate is back in action! She looks gorgeous as always.
Can’t STAND this actress!! So fake! Really should get a clue from the queen of acting, Meryl Streep! Streep’s well deserved Oscar will go to Winslet NOT because she gave a fine performance (Her Hanna was boring as SIN with absolutely no depth) but because it’s a pity Oscar. Awe, you’ve been campaigning so hard and have been nominated 5 times without winning…well, here you go. Ugh! It makes me sick! I wish the Oscars were about the performances NOT the campaigning!!!
It amazes how way better she looks now than when she was younger. She gets hotter with age.
I watched both her movies Revolutiona Road and The Reader and I have to say that she was BRILLIANT in both movies, she blew me away. She can show different kind of emotions with her face. She delivered a powerful performance with the Reader with just few words.
Hope she wins the Oscar this year. She deserves it.

Meryl is the queen of acting actresses, but Kate deserves to win.She’s the youngest person to have 6 Oscar nominations so ha! Your precious Angelina will not win and all she will be screaming is,
“I WANTT My Oscar!!!”

Hah! Angelina?! LOL! She’s on par with Winslet. Overacting hacks who don’t deserve all of the drooling they acquire because of their looks. REAL acting is Meryl Streep. You Winslet fanboys are pathetic and I believe worse than Jolie fans now! I know Winslet will get the pity Oscar and it’s sad really. Meryl had a much better performance than both Jolie & Winslet and I think they both know it. Well, Winslet might not since she thinks she’s God’s gift to everything acting. I wish she’d get her silly pity Oscar and go away!
