OlderChristian Bale Drops F-Bomb 36 Times
Christian Bale dropped the F-bomb 36 times during his nearly 4-minute verbal lashing, according to Today show’s count.
The angry 35-year-old actor was exposed yesterday for screaming and shouting at Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut for ruining a scene by walking onto the set of Terminator Salvation.
“I want you off the set! You prick!” Bale yelled at Hurlbut. “No, don’t just be sorry! Think for one f—ing second! What the f— are you doing? Are you professional or not?”
Bruce Franklin, an assistant director and associate producer on the fourth Terminator film, tells E! News that Bale is a “consummate professional” and he was just having a bad day.
“If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove…It was the most emotional scene in the movie,” said Franklin. “And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn’t walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed.”

You cant talk to people like that… and the guy was deifantely 10 15 years older, and was calm, and apologetic. Obiviously he couldnt say anything back as you could of been fired!

This guy has some major anger issues. People make me angry at work but if I spoke to them that way I would be fired straight away (and rightly so).
I feel sorry for this man’s wife and child. I have never heard such a hysterical, vile rant in all my life. Tell the guy about it once and then forget about it.

First you say that if he yelled at you like that you’d rip off his d*ck and expect an apology on the spot…but then you say the Director of Photography DESERVED IT? The Director of Photography may have ruined the scene, but he was trying to do his J. O. B. It was a mistake and he (I don’t even know why) apologized for doing so.
I’m sure the 3:48 of stupid rant cost a lot more than redoing the scene.

he isn’t that great an actor. empire of the sun was a loooong time ago. and the director should be credited for his performance in that movie, just as m. night shyamalan should be credited for how well haley joel osment was in sixth sense. just because you find him “sexy” or “hot” doesn’t make him one of the greats. same goes with hugh jackman. neither of them are talented nor versatile. they’re just eye candy for some women.
and by the way, the hurlbut guy did not walk into the scene. he walked within christian bale’s line of sight. that is a fact. it is still considered a big no-no but christian bale could have ignored him and the scene would not have to be ruined. and even if someone did walk into a scene (which wasn’t the case in this instance), the scene can always be salvaged if the actor got it right through the magic of editing and cropping.

Shane Hurlbut has been in the business since the mid to late 80’s; if he made this mistake it was purely that - a mistake. Or he thought the take was crap and was finished. Either way, if I, or most of us, reacted like this everytome someone irritated us at work, or caused us to get off course we wouldn’t be employed,. For Christian Bale to demand someone be fired is ridiculous and self centered. He’s a spoiled rotton, pampered actor who needs to realize he’s just that - AN ACTOR. Not exactly someone who is doing anything great for this world besides entertaining. What a schmuck.

omg he did not slap his family around hes from england and there if you yell at a person its considered assult. and i hate to break it to u but this was being filmed around the time heath died so he was prob not in the best mood. and if the guy was professional he wouldnt have walked in the set while ppl are working. time is money so you guys ****off.

He must have had some issues before if they felt the need to record audio for insurance purposes. From what I understand, the DP did make a mistake, but his unprofessionalism pales in comparison to Bale. Saying a few words and then letting it go is one thing, but 4 minutes says to me that he has some serious anger issues.
