Hilary Duff Slams Faye Dunaway Right Back
Hilary Duff is set to fill screen legend Faye Dunaway’s shoes as one-part of the infamous 1930s bank-robbing duo Bonnie and Clyde in the indie drama, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.
Last week, Faye supposedly zinged, ”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”
Hilary has retaliated, telling E!, “I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know…. I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”
Meow meow meow! Watch the video below…
Hilary Duff Slams Faye Dunaway
For the May 2008 issue of Allure, Hilary actually paid homage to Faye in a photoshoot inspired by the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde.

Cruel comment, Hilary. Makes people think less of you, not of her.
FAYE DUNAWAY IS AN ACADEMY AWARD WINNER ACTRESS AND ONLY FOR THAT REASON SHE IS ALLOW TO SAY WHAT SHE SAID… I DONT THINK HILARY WILL EVER HAVE THE ACTING CAREER FAYE HAS.. ENOUGH SAID,.. FCUCUCK U LIZZIE MIGUIRE
The Story of Bonnie and Clyde is classic. There are just some movies that shouldn’t be remade. I don’t think they can do it justice. FD owns the roll and I don’t Hilary can rise to the level of acting that FD is known for. Note to Hil one day you will be over the hill and you are going to wish you looks as good as this fine lady.
Go Hillary! You rock girl.
Faye Dunaway is a has been who has to take jobs on Greys Anatomy now. The worst show on TV!
Hilary Duff barely counts as a person much less an actress…Who the F is she? Is she on the same level as Emmy Rossum, Scarlett Johansson, Nathalie Portman, Freida Pinto and Anne Hathaway? If she was all that how come she’s not on that level?
an eye for an eye…
At Dunaway’s age, she should be above taking potshots. Dunaway hadn’t exactly made a name for herself prior to Bonnie and Clyde, and Hillary just make it HER breakout role in the same way.
15 year old Dakota Fanning runs rings around Hilary in the acting department.
The studios should wait until Dakota is 18+ to do a remake of Bonnie & Clyde.
What Faye said wasn’t cruel it was the truth, and sometimes the truth hurts…
regardless of whether is hilary is a real actress or not, faye shouldnt even open her mouth.
the only reason why Faye shouldn’t have opened her mouth is because she gave this facade of a movie more free publicity than hilary can pay for… now people who didnt care about it now do
It;s probably that no - name of a director’s dream
Hillary, deflate that ego a bit - what have you done to consider yourself an “actress”? A career on the Disney Channel does not count.

why not? Faye is a veteran and legend in the business and when she sees something amiss, she’s gonna tell it like it is.
Yes, people who are Team Hilary do not know who Faye Dunaway is, let’s keep it that way. Let them think that Horseteeth is the pinnacle of acting and music. I would not want them jumping on the days of yore band wagon anyway.

FAYE IS A JERK!!
THAT COMMENT WAS TOTALLY UNNESSECERY!!
HILL IS A GREAT ACTRESS! SHE HAS BEEN IN FAMILY FRENDLY MOVIES ALL HER LIFE AND SHE IS GOOD,
MAYBE BONNIE AND CLYDE IS THE BREAKOUT SHE NEEDS!!
FAYE IS A WASHED UP OLD HAG AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MOVIE BUT BARK INSULTS FROM THE SIDELINES……
THEY ARE NOT MAKING A “FAYE” MOVIE!
IT IS A NEW SPIN ON THE ORIGINAL BONNIE & CLYDE!!

What a *****. Bonnie & Clyde is a serious movie. Um, when has H.D. ever done serious acting? Faye may have said, it but it was the first thing I thought when I heard the casting. No way would I go to see that mess.
Who does Hilary think she is? Faye is a legend, and she is right. She has done so many great things in this industry by being in so many classic movies that will live on forever.
What has Hilary done, “Lizzie McGuire goes to Rome”, classic? I think not.
I will admit Faye was rude in her comment, but Hilary’s comeback was too childish.
Is it wrong for Faye to want the quality of movie stars to be of high standards because lets face it a lot of people in the industry are only in it for the fame and money. The art of acting has gone down the drain people just push out movies just for the sake of it. What happened to true actors that focused on their craft.
From Sugar Slam:
Classic Hollywood stars Faye Dunaway and the ever handsome Warren Beatty are less than thrilled that director Tonya S. Holly will be directing a remake of their classic film, Bonnie and Clyde. Both of the actors asked “Why?” when they heard the news that “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde” was in the works.
Faye Dunaway was especially saddened by the choice to cast former Disney starlet Hilary Duff as the leading role. ”Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?” the award-winner said
_____________
uh she has every right to say that, she said what most reasonable people were thinking
Are you kidding? Faye is an amazing actress, and if you don’t know who she is, well shame on you. besides no wonder her friends don’t know all they watch is the disney channel lol

Old Faye is TRYING to stay in the public eye, period.
It’s one thing to think something or say something but to go out of her way to “Publicly” unsult ANYONE’s career is such a caddy and desprate move for self promotion.
Especially someone young and bright like Hilary Duff, An old veteran like Faye Dunaway should know better!!
That is something a young actor will never forget!
.
Get some Class Faye!!!

i agree helen i meant Faye had every right to say it…
Who the hell is Faye Dunaway?
Anyway, I didn’t like her comment about Hilary, but Hilary’s comment wasn’t anymore gracious.

WRONG!!!!, but I’m not surprised that a Duff fan would be completely oblivious to the facts about any subject that does not involve, say…. the Jonas Bothers.
Dunaway was a seasoned stage actress early in her career, appearing on Broadway in 1962 in “A Man for All Seasons.” (For Hillary fans, Broadway is an area in NY comprised of stage theaters — no, not MOVIE theaters — where actors perform LIVE in something called a PLAY. Ask your mommies and daddies to take you to one sometime. ) *sarcasm*
Dunaway’s first screen role was in 1967 in “The Happening,” then in 1967’s “Hurry Sundown.” Bonnie and Cl;yde was also released that year.
Even in her youth, Dunaway was blowing the NO-TALENT, HORSE-TOOTHED Duff out of the water.
Ms. Dunaway should have been more professional regarding her dissapproval of Ms. Duff and in return, Ms. Duff should have not replied. It somehow seems that they could have made a better choice in actresses due to I don’t see the likeness in the two. Ms. Duff in my opinion isn’t strong enough to play the part of Ms. Dunaway, just my thought.
lol i love hilary
