OlderJude Law is Cross-Dresser Minx
Jude Law cross-dresses as supermodel Minx in his upcoming movie, Rage, out later this year.
Director Sally Potter writes about the vision of her movie on blog: “Part of the subject matter of Rage is the ugly use of beauty in the pursuit of profit. Drugged by marketing, sapped by fear of aging, conned by the cult of celebrity… image becomes all.”
She also talks about the 36-year-old British actor as a transvestite: “Jude Law, whose beauty has sometimes been held against him as an actor, made the courageous decision to accept the role of Minx - a ‘celebrity super-model’ and took on a kind of hyper-beauty for this persona… a ‘female’ beauty which gradually unravels as the story unfolds. Strangely, the more he became a ‘she’, coiffed and made-up - the more naked was his performance. There was great strength in his willingness to make himself vulnerable. It was an extraordinarily intense part of the shoot.”

Didn’t take long again to bring in Jolie. It happens everytime. Obsessed much? Its funny how no matter who the thread is about someone always has to compare them to Jolie. intriques he he will play anying that’s different from the last character
he played to get contrast and to show his range which is far-flung and
his best work is always the most unusual characters, That’s ACTING!
Of course, he can be the charming person he normally is and a beauty
to boot which he normally is but I am now dying to see this movie

i always thought jude was more beautiful than any of his leading ladies…well this prooves it…he is a real risk taker. believe me very few actors would take on a role like this. the director sally potter couldn’t get over the fact that jude would undertake such a risky role. i simply cannot wait to see his performance.

It’s one thing to do a woman when she doesn’t have to be a glamourpus like Hoffman and TOOTSIE or RObin Williams and MRS>
DOUBTFIRE but Jude is a SUPERMODEL for crissakes and that
is not easy. But he is very slim and with artful arranging of stoles,
sweaters and clothes with sweeping sleeves it’s possible to create
the illusion and i/m sure everything that is supposed to go with it ‘(Voice, skin and makeup does (remember AI) we have always said
he is a chameleon and here is but another stunning example of what
it means to be a real actor. (He can also acheive wonderful result s without the makeup etc. because he is a consummate actor.It’s
wonderful Jude, never change - the daring things you do generally pay

jude law is one of the most gifted actors of his generation. he can play anything as shown by the variety of roles he has done so well…his range is limitless that he can do something as challenging as Caligula nd as charismatic as the guy in the movie the Holiday with cameron diaz…I am in awe of this great actor, one of the best British actors of all time…

I was a bit ok, whatever about this movie - but WOW, now it’s a must-see :-D I think it sounds like a very interesting project and I love the diversity of Jude’s acting choices. It’s great to see him try out his talent itstead of just doing the same sort of role over and over again. Go Jude!

My gosh, he’s stunning, and yet kind of scary. When is this movie coming out? I haven’t heard anything about it.
I’ve been meh about Rage, but now whoa I’ve got to see it! If I turn into a lesbian, Jude-Minx will be to blame hehe… Just kidding though, not gonna happen. I love the Jude the man, chest hair and all. He is beautiful with nearly perfect symmetry and features, but his beauty is clearly masculine, the features bold and big in proportion. He’ll never make a pretty woman. (See him in drag on Saturday Night Live or in the breast-feeding scene in Huckabee.) That doesn’t matter here though, because I think Minx is meant to be trans-gender, not a female character; and Jude makes a striking though not necessarily pretty woman. That fits the “hyper-beauty” supermodel look.

Polo, I don’t think he resembles Sienna in the least, more Sadie Frost than her.
It has been said of Jude that he is a fearless actor. This role certainly makes that comment true. He likes to lose himself in roles where he is clearly some character other than himself. Can’t wait to see this film later this year.

everytime i come back to this pic of jude and i saw a snippet of a video of jude in the film i can’t get over him. he’s absolutely unique…..the variety of roles that this man has played in his young life is astounding…a bald headed assassin in road to perdition with tom hanks and paul newman…a bearded civil war soldier in cold mountain with nicole kidman….a homo sexual in wilde….a father and sweetie in the holiday.. the gorgeous dickie in the talented mr. ripley with matt damon.jude’s made almost thirty pictures starting when he was a teen ager….many of them in england. he’s never the same. soon we can see jude, johnny depp and colin farrell filling in for heath ledger in the imaginarium of dr. parnassus..then he’s dr. watson to robert downey’s sherlock holmes…..then he’ll be doing an action film called repossesion mambowith forrest whitaker…nobody does the variety that jude does…thank you jared ….and my hat’s off to you…the beautiful and talented mr. law
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him in anything. A friend of mine said he’s a good actor & he’s getting ready to be Dr. Watson in another version of Sherlock Holmes along with another strange kind of a match playing the leading role. I think he is VERY handsome as MAN. As far as the woman pic goes, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH NUMBER 14’s COMMENT! I don’t believe it. The face MIGHT be his b/c it doesn’t look pretty to me with all that grousome eye makeup on, but the BODY looks to be TOTALLY FEMININE to me! It’s sad that he’s not doing very well in his personal life. I hope that changes soon.
