Dev Patel is a Daily Show Star
Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel is not too proud to pull, rolling his own suitcases as he lands at London’s Heathrow Airport on Wednesday (February 4).
The 18-year-old British actor just flew in from New York City, where he taped The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Dev was super excited to be a guest on the show, saying, “I’m 18 and I’m on this show. I shouldn’t be doing this!” Later on, he described the amazing sense of community in the slums of Mumbai, India. Watch the video below!
Dev will be headed back to LA for the Academy Awards on February 22.

Easy for him to say there is such a “sense of community in the slums”…. wonder how those poor kids in the movie that got shafted feel watching this movie and it’s “stars” and “management” rake in the fame and fortune while they’re still in the slums? Glad I don’t belong to a “community” like that. I’d rather not hear another word about this movie until they own up to the fact that they used and abused their own “community” to get where they are.

#10, I kind of agree. All of the younger actors left a bigger impact on me than Dev did. He just had a stale facial expression throughout the film…yet he got a BAFTA nomination.
