OlderGwyneth Paltrow: F— The Haters!
Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her dark side for the March 2009 cover of Elle UK magazine’s annual fashion issue.
“I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me. And, you know, for a second you lose perspective and your ego is so wounded. You think, how could people hate me or hate my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world,” Gwyneth, 36, said.
“I am who I am. I can’t pretend to be somebody who makes £15,000 a year. That would be completely inauthentic. I know what my intention [with her email newsletter Goop] is – and if it makes one person’s life better, then it’s worth it. And f**k the haters!”
Gwyneth also shared about her marriage with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and show down rumors that their marriage was headed for trouble. “It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple. He certainly doesn’t want to be that. So it’s just better if we don’t – I mean, we’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will. If people think that that means we’re not together, then – ha ha ha! – so be it.”

Gwen is full of contradictions, she want to spit out her “godly” words at us, and yet she can’t take any criticisms? What’s the point? If you tell the public that they should live her way, you are bound to be challenged and disagreed by some. So F— her ENTITLEMENT!

Gwyn is distinguishing herself and her “haters” by pointing out the difference in income. That is how she sees herself and all of the little people. Very, very telling statement. Gwyn…. you are your husband will never be Brad and Angelina. Your notiriety is not on that level.

Wow, based on the ridiculous comments in this thread, apparently Gwyneth has visted Just Jared - what she said certainly describes the tone of this site. She’s 100% right. BTW, having a decent vocabulary doesn’t make you “pretentious”.

As a fan of her work who will always watch her films, I freely admit she meets the criteria for pretentious. It doesn’t have much to do with her vocabulary so much as her overall behavior. She is characterized by an assumption of dignity or importance and has a definite tendency to rub people the wrong way with her attitude.
Anyone reading a negative comment can be affected by it but they’re par for the course, especially being a celebrity. I agree with the person who suggested she give honest reflection to why she’s so unpopular. It might do her some good. Otherwise, if she can’t stand the heat that comes with the trappings of fame, she needs to get out of the kitchen instead of selling cookbooks.
Don’t hate her but love some of the work she do.But still don’t know why her husband don’t walk her on the red carpet.That is not agood reason she gave.He’s must not bbe proud of her work she do.Don’t think hehas grown up.Still not no reason to get mad because people ask her about it.He should be able todo it sometime.
Gwyneth should not have reacted this way, because now that it’s clear she reads this stuff and that it bothers her, it will only get worse. Don’t read about yourself, Gwyneth. No one is popular with everyone.
How classy! Nothing like a woman born with a silver spoon in her mouth who wants to become an aristocrat by design. Some humility and truth may awaken this young woman from her delusions.
is she for real? i don’t hate Gweneth, i don’t care enough to hate anyone, i just think that she can’t tell me any thing i don’t already know, who the h.e.l.l died and left her azz in charge? who do she think she is besides someone who got lucky enough to be in some movies? reading some lines off of a piece of paper, what degree do she has to do what she’s pretending to do any way? no, Gwennie, kept your advice to yourself and leave that kind of stuff to the professionals who gets paid and are way more qualified than you are, go back to acting, if you can. btw, i like Chris,(her husband) at least he’s not trying to shove things on us like we are little kids who don’t eat their veggies.
I don’t dislike her, i just think that her acting is like milk toast. She is not interesting at all. There’s just nothing special about her. Not her fault, she is what she is. That she can make a living out of it is the amazement.

Instead of trying to make “other peoples’ lives better” (with your gutter mouth), you might want fo focus on your own crumbling marriage to a man who evidences no desire to be seen with you. Is there anything about your life that is vastly superior to anyone else’s, other than your income? You don’t even have a viable career any longer and have recently taken to running around in mini dresses and shorts in a futile effort to regain the attention you once had. She is so lame. Wow…every time she opens her mouth gives people another reason not to like her. She is an entitled, condescending, pretentious and extremely shallow individual with a very small brain.
