OlderGwyneth Paltrow: F— The Haters!
Gwyneth Paltrow reveals her dark side for the March 2009 cover of Elle UK magazine’s annual fashion issue.
“I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me. And, you know, for a second you lose perspective and your ego is so wounded. You think, how could people hate me or hate my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world,” Gwyneth, 36, said.
“I am who I am. I can’t pretend to be somebody who makes £15,000 a year. That would be completely inauthentic. I know what my intention [with her email newsletter Goop] is – and if it makes one person’s life better, then it’s worth it. And f**k the haters!”
Gwyneth also shared about her marriage with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and show down rumors that their marriage was headed for trouble. “It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple. He certainly doesn’t want to be that. So it’s just better if we don’t – I mean, we’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will. If people think that that means we’re not together, then – ha ha ha! – so be it.”

Vive la Vida Gwen the way you want to, f#ck the haters. The real haters are the people who own the blogs and give bloggers a forum to spew hate. Like the fatty on another site who likes to write graffiti on celebrity pictures and picks and chooses who he wants to hate and make a living out of it.

These people are just so full of themselves. They read what people write about them and they just can’t believe it! They really did drink their own kool-aid. They read their publicity and believe it. I loved the line in the “Devil wears Prada, when Merle Streep says “Everyone wants be us! They really think everyone wants to live in “lala land”

“Elle - The Fashion Issue”… As opposed to what - “Elle - The issue where we discuss important, relevant matters”? It’s a fashion magazine - what ELSE are they going to have on EVERY issue???

This woman seems very bitter. I think she got the cover she deserved. They made her look like a tranny. Not hard to do I suppose.
God forbid there’s an actress who knows how to speak and dress well and speak her “pretentious” mind. Going through these comments, I’d rail against the haters too. Maybe you uneducated idiots could try to write a cohesive and intelligent sentence.
I think Gwyneth is actually pretty inarticulate. She doesn’t have much to say in her televised interviews and seems to stick to a script. That’s why she needs to resort to potty mouth comments. She also doesn’t dress very well and seems to be going through an early mid-life crisis.
She’s right. Why should people who don’t even know them make ugly, anonymous comments about celebrities? Gwyneth happens to be intelligent, talented, beautiful, rich, and married to a gorgeous man with two lovely children.
It’s simple, really: a lot of people are jealous of her.
People who give in to feelings like that possibly don’t realize that nobody has a perfect life. Instead of envying and hating those who seem more fortunate, why not go out and get the life you want for yourself?
I don’t buy the jealousy defense. There are tons of women in the entertainment industry more attractive and seemingly more intelligent than Paltrow who are very well-liked . Gwyneth may have a lot of money but she doesn’t seem to be a happy person and people seem to sense that. That’s why she needs to make ignorant generalizations and use crass language. If she wants to improve how she’s perceived, she should try “nourishing” her own “inner aspect” and give more thought to how she expresses herself. More consideration to her grooming might also help too. She’s been looking rather ridiculous lately.
