David Gets Delirious After Dentist Visit
When poor 7-year-old David had to go to the dentist during Summer 2008 to get an extra tooth removed, what he didn’t know was that the video proof of his experience with anesthesia would make him an internet sensation half a year later.
In his confused state, David had a cute and hilarious conversation with his dad:
“Is this real life? Okay, now… now I have two fingers… now four fingers…I can’t see anything…AAAHHHHHH!!! I don’t feel tired. Do I have stitches? Do I have stitches on my teeth? Why can’t I touch it? You have four eyes. I feel funny…why is this happening to me? Is this going to be forever?”

Cutest ever! I’m addicted to this video.
Well I favorited this on my YouTube.
I saw this video before anyone.
Look at all the bandwagoners here.
soooooooooooooooooooooooo hilarious!!!!!
This kids dad is a horse’s a ss.

He is just playing with his dad. You don’t leave the dentist stoned. If he still had that much in his system he would have OD’ed in the chair. It wears off as soon as the mask is removed.
Looks like a kid who has experience watching dad on drugs and is mimicking him.
TOO CUTE.
doesnt any one else find this mildly disturbing?
TR the comments disappear and come back allot here. I don’t think Jared sensors anyone. Within reason anyways. Just try refresh a few times.
My daughter had 6 teeth pulled for her braces (2 at a time 3 visits). She giggled while they were being pulled but she was completely fine by the time she left the chair.
There is something really wrong here that this father is encouraging his son to act drugged, drunk. I wonder why the kid knows at this very young age how to act drugged, drunk.
WATCH THE REMIXXXXXXX!!

Poor kid. If it were my kid I would take it seriously and get him to the Drs. if he was saying these things to me. Drugs are not a joke.
this is so fake, no kid would leave the dentist in that state. plus what father tapes his kid after visiting the dentist? seriously, this is such a fake video.
Who the hell is David?
This is such a disturbing video.
“You have 4 eyes.”
DUDE best video EVER!
Dude, this kid is stoned! If it was my kid i would of taking him to the hospital! He seemed to have alot in him! damn, they OD this kid!
HAHAHAHA!
Is this going to be forever?
seriously, if my daughter was acting like that i would take her to the hospital to be observed until it wears off! you can’t take any chances with kids! my sister was allergic to the anesthesia & she got really sick! :(
Actually I had two wisdom teeth removed and they have to knock me out and when I woke I was loopy like that for a good 5-10 minutes before it wore off. So this kid might have had the same thing.

so funny!!!! i dont think the kid is acting some people had some reactions to the anesthesia some say funny things and maybe feel dizzy ,this is natural nothing is wrong with him is very normal.every time he get anesthesia he is gonna act like that.poor kid.
That’s sick.
A Dad broadcasts his own son (completely stoned) on youtube for the world to watch!
What’s cute?
I was wondering too why he would still be so drugged up after the procedure. If he got the “gas” the effect stops as soon as you stop breathing it. Maybe they gave him something else in combination with it.
Holy crap. I just watched this yesterday and told all my friends about it! lol!! so hilariously cute!

it looks like they gave him a conscious sedative, the effect is exactly like you’re drunk. it’s stronger than the gas and weaker than complete anesthesia and safer than both
girl you need to stod overdosing on vicodin. girl you gotta get yourself a weave.
Some kids and people for that matter have different reactions to anesthesia. I know after I had my one tooth pulled I felt like my head was floating and I actually got sick afterwards. This video is too cute. I bet the kid couldn’t wait for the drug to wear off:)lol
I agree with #27 and #29….this is a little disturbing and wrong…if it’s real it’s really jacked and the kid should never have been allowed to leave the dentist if he was still that impaired…the Dad’s a real loser.
lol Awww…Poor little guy. I hate to laugh at this but you can’t help it. :o)
he’s sooo cute! i love him! he looks surprise that you have 4 eyes and really worries this is going to be forever. lovely kid.
I agree with the people concerned about the child - he should not have been let go from the dentist this drugged. Video taping it then putting it on the internet - the father has his priorities mixed up. Should be at a hospital for sure. I hope this child is ok now.
As for the link to “Charlie bit my finger again” - what is cute about that
older boy being hurt? Ever had your finger in a baby’s mouth and been bit? Those little teeth are sharp. The poor little guy is not much more then a baby himself and no one helped him get his finger out. Charlie is lucky he didn’t get a shove on to the floor - would that be funny too? Parents video taping their older boy being hurt.
Nothing funny here (and yes I know how to laugh but not at the expense of 3 little kids).
tcali29, I do. Don’t think this is funny at all and can’t understand why do we, total strangers, have access to this little kid’s vulnerable moment. He seems miserable and about to throw up. Stupid father!
There is nothing funny about this video. The poor child looks like he may have been given too much anesthesia or is having a negative reaction to the drug. This can be scary and is the opposite of funny or cute. The kid is not acting, he is genuinely confused and scared and the father is a fool for not taking it seriously; the child even roared in frustration at one point because the father was making light of it. This video is disturbing. The child would have done better with novocain since anesthesia is a serious drug.
That’s really funny, he’s cuteee
This is so wrong. Somebody need to check this out to make sure the child is ok. Need to check out the dentist and the parent.
In my early twenties I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time. I was given sodium pentathol via syringe in my arm. At on point during the surgery, I came to and was holding the oral surgeon’s arm to get him out of my mouth, so they pushed a little more. On the 50 mile ride back home, my mother was laughing so hard that she told me that if I didn’t shut up she was going to have a wreck. I was hallucinating poker hands and all sorts of stuff. When we got back to our town, she stopped at the grocery store before going home and left my drugged out ass in the car. I briefly contemplated how funny it would be to get out of the car and hide, but even in that state, I reconsidered as I knew she would freak out and I would probably pass out in my hiding place. She put me to bed when we arrived home, late afternoon, and I didn’t even make a peep until late the next morning. Got up, ate a Big Mac and went merrily on my way with only a lump in my lower , left jaw where the surgeon had been chisling out the tooth when I grabbed his arm!
lol the end was funny… poor kid
i didnt really find it funny
if anything kinda weird….
why would ur dad wanna video u when ur high…..
He met Michael Phelps :)
Having had this type of surgery before I sympathize with this young child. If he was given a small amount of drugs he would act all doped up for quit some time, in addition if he was given gas it would make his reactions even dopier. The doc would put him on straight air/oxygen try to balance his chemicals, regardless the effects of laughing gas truly last a very long time. I’m really surprise his father posted the video on youtube, where is the parents protection of the dignity of this child?
awwww
I agree with vivkir. When I saw the video I wanted to cry. That dad should have turned the camera off and been comforting his child. He didn’t care. He just wanted the LOL’s. I bet that kid’m mom tore the dad a new one.
I am so glad when I read through these comments that there were others who were also distressed at viewing this.
It’s not funny in the least. This poor kid needed to be comforted not videotaped and egged on by his father.
A feeling of disorientation can be traumatic for a child that young.
What a moronic father.
best part : ok….now….now I have 2 fingers…….. lol ( the way he moves is killin’ me)
Wow, I can’t believe all the sanctimonious judging going on by some of these posters who obviously know NOTHING about dentistry. This is quite a normal reaction to have when someone, adult or child, has been put under conscious sedation - given a benzodiazepine orally or by IV. Nitrous oxide gas probably was given in conjunction because it’s a sedative that has effects that can be reversed in a matter of minutes. That way you can give a lower dose of the benzodiazepine and increase the sedation more with the nitrous if needed. Local anesthetic injections (a substance like Novocaine) are also given because these other sedatives don’t block pain. This is all much safer than trying to pull a tooth or do serious work with drills and sharp instruments while a young child is squirming, crying, or being uncooperative. Conscious sedation is done for the safety of the patient as well as the dental workers.
Sorry, rant off.
don’t judge them. don’t say things like they might be making things up because you don’t know what really happened.
