Jennifer Hudson gets sandwiched in by country crooner Faith Hill and pop-classical singer Josh Groban backstage at the 2009 MusiCares Person of the Year Tribute to Neil Diamond at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday (February 6) in Los Angeles.
The 27-year-old Grammy-nominated singer performed her own rendition of Neil’s “Holly Holy.” Jennifer is a contender for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Female Vocal Performance for “Spotlight”, Best R&B Song for “Spotlight”, and Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “I’m His Only Woman” featuring Fantasia.

#25, you don’t listen to R&B/hiphop stations because her record does get airplay.
Don’t hate on Jennifer because
1) she has a music career. While you are lucky to get “Open Mike” night.
2)when she was voted off American Idol, Elton John was so angry he called the producers to complained and hired Jennifer to sing backup on his tour. Clive Davis still signed her to his record company.
2)have won a Oscar. You lost at Guitar Hero,Rock Band and Sing it (twice!)
3) Her struggling days are over ;while most of you haters are still waiting for your “big break”.
Talented sandwich indeed! I wish JJ put her super bowl national anthem on this site. Incredible voice, perhaps may be second to only Whitney Houston’s rendition. Brought tears to my eyes.
well said pop86. Watch and see. Her next album will sell off the shelves. She has a lot more fans now after that terrible incident. Shes very talented and has a powerfull voice. The “infamous” bytch is stupid and ignorant. thats it

JHud may have had some lucky breaks but let’s face it there was a period last fall where no one thought she was lucky as we waited to see if her nephew was alive…
We are the lucky one’s that she will share her talents with us…

i cant believe there a people that rude and apathetic towards what jennifer has been thru…i would call her journey one feeled with blessings , a move of God..Jennifer is talented and very deserving of everything that she has and will have..some of these bloggers are very ignorant and if they didnt care for her why are they writing on a blogg about her …..just avoid your dislikes instead of ignorantly expounding upon them..that kind of stuff pisses me off

After reading so many comments on here I cannot believe how ignorant people can be!..Jennifer Hudson is an inspiration to us all and so so soooo talented!…Haters..i’m sure you would NOT be complaining if you had her voice would you?…thought not!…and yeah she has had “lucky breaks” but thats what the music industry is all about…working hard which she has done and being in the right place at the right time.She deserves everything she has got career wise and bless her she is so brave and strong!go JHUD woop woop =) x
