OlderJennifer Hudson Wins Grammy — Best R&B Album
Jennifer Hudson (in RM by Roland Mouret Trenet) accepts the Grammy for best R&B album at the 2009 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday in Los Angeles.
“I don’t really know what to say,” the 27-year-old singer said during her acceptance speech, trying to fight back tears. “First of all, I got Whitney Houston presenting me [with my award]. Wow, I’m just in awe right now. First of all, I’d like to thank God who has brought me through. I’d like to thank my family in heaven and those who are here today… Clive Davis, Barry Weiss, everyone at Arista, [my fiance David Otunga], everybody, thank you all.”

Actually nobody in that category sold as many albums as jhud. She’s the only one who has sold 600,000 plus. I still think she should have won best vocal and Al Green should have one best r and b album. But still get your facts straight infamous.

Wow, only 17 comments while Jennifer and Brad got 500 something. I just have to laugh. This performance was mind blowing and so touching. She is an incredible spirit and I just hope she continues to go on and do well. She deserves it.

I’m impressed by her style upgrade. For a while since she broke into the spotlight her stylist was trying to squeeze her into those barbie dresses to make her fit in with the rest of thin Hollywood. She has found her style identity that works for her voluptuous figure and the right outfit work miracles on her weight since she came back for the Superbowl performance. Good job Jennifer.

God Bless Jennifer Hudson. What a tremendous amount of sadness in her life over the past weeks. I couldnt imagine singing that song and keeping it together. She always said her mother was her grounding along with her faith in God.
I hope that ‘Punk” from I love New York is for real with this girl. I mean he found someone a million times better and he is an attorney, but, still someone that pledged their love to New York on a reality show like I Love New York seems questionable at best.

If you’d lost all your family, you would cry for some months and wouldn’t look that beautiful, but it seems different for American stars… I guess it’s how it works @ Hollywood.
