Katherine Heigl Leaves Grey’s Anatomy
Katherine Heigl and BFF costar T.R. Knight are hanging up their scrubs and leaving Grey’s Anatomy.
“Yes, she is [leaving],” co-star James Pickens Jr. (Dr. Richard Webber) tells Us Weekly. “Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best. [TR Knight's] going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths.”
“Right now, the whole thing is in the hands of their agents and ABC’s lawyers,” an insider tells EW. “Something will probably be worked out soon, but it’s a safe bet that Katherine and T.R. won’t be returning as series regulars next season.”
WHAT DO YOU THINK of George and Izzie leaving the hit ABC medical drama — YAY or NAY?

i will miss them but no so much that if ellen, patrick, sandra or chandra leave grey’s
FINALLY!! Now I can go back to watching the show again!! So long Izzie Stevens and annoying, self-obsessed loser Katherine Heigl!!
I also have lost interest in the show - everyone in the cast seems confused and off. what is that? I only watch intermittently now.
Nevertheless, I don’t think Knight is really an actor at heart. I hope he finds something that is good for him. Heigl, to me, has that star quality that is rare - she’s beautiful and radiates onscreen. The reason Julia Roberts is such a big star is that people recognize she is also authentic. That’s the rub with Heigl - people have heard she is a bit nasty and demanding and bitchy. If she fixes that sense of entitlement (therapy might work???), I think she could be a big star. Also, she needs to stop smoking. Her work in romantic comedies is great, and she could also do more drama too. I think it is a good move for her to jump Grey’s now.

This sucks!! They were my favourites on Grey’s! Next season definitely won’t be as popular without them.

They are awesome, I hope she continues making movies, she is such a good actress. Not too many actresses can jump from T.V. to the big screen,. He is also very good…love love them both.

I do like Private Practice and hope that this show won’t be tainted with the inbreeding bed hopping like Grey’s. In fact, McSteamy should follow Addison back to Cali.
These two are so ungrateful, IMO. Anyway, the show won’t die. Only Dempsey/Pompeo departure can kill it.

I have lost interest in that show. If they want to do movies good for them, have to do what makes you happy.
I’m happy that she’s leaving. Ms. Hiegel has been totally ungrateful with regards to any of the projects that have helped launched her career. She shat all over “Knocked Up” and had nothing but crap to say about “Grey’s Anatomy.” I can’t wait for her movie career to flop and she’s back on the CW doing two-bit television shows. By the time the smoke has settled, she’ll be begging for a cameo on Grey’s.
This sucks! I love katherine (izzie!!!) on Grey’s Anatomy. George’s part was a little played out.

not sure why Katherine is leaving-other than maybe to support her best friend. I LOVE TR and his character but you have to admit that they haven’t been giving him much air time lately.
I wish them both the best of luck-I love them both.

It is better to have them leave than it is to keep disgruntled employees around bringing everyone else down. Personally I think they would’ve been better off staying and riding the gravy train as far as it goes. They could’ve still pursued other interests during the off season.
I dont think I will be watching GA if she leaves. It’s been going downhill for a while now.

Good riddance to rubbish…no one should be on a show unless they want to be…appear without griping to the media and whiny about ‘the quality of the scripts’….yadda yadda…now go on and be a nusiance somewhere else.

Good riddance and take Denny with you as well! This show use to be soooooo good until they let Burke go and started with all the stupid story lines. I will be watching this Thursday because it seems to be the first time in a long time they will have a decent story line.
Izzie was annoying and they made George to whimpy. The show is on the verge of tanking with or without them. Who knows maybe new faces will regenerate a better plot and revitalize the sinking ship?
