Brad Pitt: Inglourious Basterds Trailer!
The trailer for director Quentin Tarantino’s much-anticipated film Inglourious Basterds premiered today.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, “two story lines converge: One follows a group of prisoners-turned-soldiers whose mission is to take down a group of Nazis, and the other follows a young Jewish woman who seeks to avenge the death of her parents by this Nazi group.”

Tarantino didn’t pick Pitt, he really didn’t want him at all. The studio forced him to pick a major actor for the lead after GrindHouse bombed in theaters. Tarantino’s original pick for lead actor was Michael Madsen.

Bullshit. Tarantino himself said last week that he sent the script to Brad PERSONALLY 2 days after he finished because he wanted Brad to do the film and they’d been trying to work together for years. It’s also a fact that the studio financing the film, Universal, had to kiss Brad’s ass to get him to do the movie because they’d just stabbed him the back by publicly LYING about why he bailed on State of Play. The fact that Grindhouse bombed wasn’t even an issue because Weinstein Brothers weren’t financing the film. They’re the one’s who lost money on Grindhouse. And besides that Tarantino’s half of the film was well-recieved. it was the Robert Rodriguez half of the film that got shitcanned.

As for Michael Madsen - he was in on the movie in the one of Tarantino’s previous incarnations and thought he would still have a part once he heard that QT had finished the script. He said he was surprised to hear that QT wanted Brad instead, but he had no hard feelings toward Brad. Actors lose out on roles all the time and Michael Madsen, who had JUST been in a big fracas at a London hotel after supposedly beating up on his girlfriend, was in no position to whine about losing a choice role to an A-Lister.

And QT could have saved on flight to France to pitch his movie to BP. I think BP will be alright. There is another option for the troll, skip the movie.

The troll was blowing smoke out its ass. Michael Madsen was attached to IB for donkey years - cuz Tarantino’s been working on it off-and-on for about 10 years. QT said just last week that he sent the script to BRAD as soon as he finished it so obviously QT himself no longer wanted Michael Madsen in the movie.

I totally agree with you, I saw both movies and TCOBB is in a different league. I hope there is not another disappoint Oscar night. I almost do not want to watch it. Hopefully they will give Brad his well deserved award! I want Angie to win but I do think that all the women in her category are great so its a fair game.
