OlderGwyneth Paltrow: Feathered Footwear
Gwyneth Paltrow steps out in a wild pair of Roger Vivier pink-and-yellow feather pumps at the Unforgettable Evening event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Tuesday (February 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 36-year-old actress’s also wore a Balmain jacket over her Calvin Klein dress.
At the cancer awareness event, Gywn received the 2009 Courage Award. She, along with her mother, Blythe Danner, and brother, Jake Paltrow, established the Bruce Paltrow Fund in memory of her father who lived with oral cancer for several years.
“I always think about the people who are suffering from cancer or who have loved ones suffering,” Gwyn says. “It’s so brutal, such a horrible battle, such a terrifying thing to go through and they do such amazing work. They’re making real progress so it’s an important thing to be a part of.” 20+ pics inside…

Our Gwyn cleans up nicely when she’s not trying to dress like a twenty year old.
I think the luster is gone. Gwyneth still has pretty hair, but other than that she is just a pair of skinny legs.

hey- I can’t believe the comments above. I guess people are used to heavily made up (make up) starlets.
She has very little make up and for 36 she looks pretty darn good.
She has on a fair amount of makeup but it’s not applied very well and the colors are off. The hair is also a bit brassy - she should consider going closer to her natural shade - and the white washes her out, but at least she’s not dressed like a teenager.
#42 I think she has a fair bit of make-up on. This is not her with just a little bit of make up on. Anyhoo, it is certainly an improvement from her usual get-ups, however, she is like a picasso. From far away she looks decent, but when you click on the close-ups she looks quite frightful.

If you call foundation, lipstick and a little mascara- a “fair bit” of make- up….guess you are right, but, still a lot less than what most celebrities wear. She is still a pretty person at 36 and not “frightful” looking at all.
Frightful are people that apply make up so heavily like Christina Aguilera and a slew of others including Marilyn Manson. So heavily made up that when you see them sans makeup- you don’t recognize them!

Gwyn is a pretty bad dresser but I think she looks alright here. It’s a little wedding-ish but nicer than the Rockette Grammy outfit.

Anyway…Gwyneth looks stunning as usual :) I love the shoes. I think it’s so special she did so much work for her father and cancer. I can’t imagine it’s easy doing what she’s doing after losing her father. She took the death understandably bad and to stand up on stage and talk about it is difficult. Applause to her :) She has done it many times.
Love her whole look. So stylish! She’s always one step ahead of everyone in fashion.

Gwyneth is not particularly fashion forward. She heavily recycles trends (short skirts, opaque tights) often to disastrous effect. Often she ends up looking silly. I’ll give her credit here though; she must have really had to restrain herself from leaving the house without wearing a crotch skimming skirt. I guess the plunging neckline compensated.
Forget the shoes. Check out those shoulder pads!!!!!!

Gwyneth is wearing a LOT less eye makeup than usual for a public appearnce–which, in combination with her pale outfit, makes her look washed-out. And OMG, she really IS looking more like her mother than ever! (Not that it’s a bad thing–Blythe Danner is a beautiful woman.)
