Hugh Jackman: First Oscars Promo Pic!

Scope out the very first promo pic of Hugh Jackman, who will host the 2009 Oscars in less than two weeks.

Although he has previously been a presenter, this will be the 40-year-old Aussie actor’s first time center stage at the Oscar show. However, Hugh has hosted the Tony Awards three times already.

The 81st Academy Awards will air on ABC @ 8PM on Sunday, February 22 from the the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Jon Stewart hosted the ceremony last year.

I ADORE HUGH!! He looks gorgeous, as always. I have no doubt he will do an amazing job hosting, any one who has seen him hosting the Tony’s knows that it will be absolutely wonderful.

I guess he is somewhat good looking…but, not the best. LOL

He seems like a nice person and well-grounded for a celebrity.

I have not yet seen any of his movies……so, not sure about his actor skills. Need to rent a video……can anyone suggest a good movie he is in?

Boogi - Unlike hughey I wouldn’t recommend van helsing, swordfish or scoop. I do recommend:
X-men 1 and X-men United
The prestige (great movie, also starring christian bale and michael kane)
Australia (many people didn’t like it, mostly because of its long length, but I loved it. I wouldn’t recommend it though, if you don’t like long movies)
Oklahoma! - West end production. It was filmed and there’s a DVD. He actually auditioned to the movie X-Men while he was doing this musical.

Watch The Fountain, The Prestige, Kate & Leopold and Australia. 4 movies, 4 completely different roles and performances, from comedy to drama to action.

For boogie #15. Go to youtube and search The Boy from Oz, Carousel and Oklahoma! If there is one thing that Hugh Jackman can do the best way that is definetely MUSICAL. I agree that he’s marvelous in The Fountain too.

Hugh will be the best Oscar Host ever and that’s because he is so different from the previous ones. No more boring and long speeches. Give us more extravagant sing-and-dance shows!!!!!!!

i love him he is georgeus !!!!! so hot!!!! iand i recommend you all the x men movies, swoordfish ( he is just in a towel in that!!!) , scoop, Australia( in this movie he is a total hunk) see it you are going to love him!!
