OlderFreida Pinto is Globe Gorgeous
Slumdog Millionaire sweetheart Freida Pinto is featured in a new 50s-style pinup shot for Vanity Fair.
“Bombay (now known as Mumbai) is literally the third character in the film, and a very important one,” says Freida, a 24-year-old former model. “The most wonderful thing about [director Danny Boyle] is he’s not focused on poverty only. He shows that Bombay does rise above it.”
When asked about Slumdog’s auditioning process, Freida said, “Danny said that when he first saw me on tape he pretty much knew he was going to cast me, but we needed to go through auditioning to be sure. So it took me six months of auditioning to get the part. By the fourth month I started getting obsessed with the role. Every time I met my friends I would read lines from the script!”

She’s really beautifull and im glad an indian actress like herself made it to hollywood. She’s far better than ashwarya rai and she knows how to dress. I really like her and she seems really sweet and not snobbish like the other indian actresses.

Don’t be so quick to defend Aishwarya. Maybe Freida is just really a sweet and happy person growing up in a rich family, if that is true. Not all rich kids a brat. Maybe she has a good upbringing.
