Mary-Kate Olsen strikes an artistic pose in the March 2009 issue of Interview Magazine. It’s a great feature, so here are some snippets:
I know you also have a place in L.A. and you go back and forth a lot, but do you think you’ve made New York your place? I’m definitely bicoastal, but I have to say, it’s easier to live in New York than in L.A. I feel like people respect other people’s space a bit more here. Everyone has the right to that freedom, right? Everyone has that right. It’s freezing in New York right now. In L.A., it’s sunny. But I would choose freezing over being followed.
You’re a renter, right? Yeah, I rent. It’s hard for me to figure out where I want to be. But it’s definitely in New York. I feel like New York throws different challenges at you and you can be more creative.
I hear that your clothing lines, The Row and Elizabeth & James, are breaking into menswear. Was that a natural progression? I think that was our strategy from the beginning. We also have shoes coming out-they’re going to be beautiful. Everything’s looking pretty solid.

i just love her
i really like their clothing lines. alot of celebrities like beyonce wear them too so im guessing theyre expensive like all of the celebrity lines. i wish they sold cute clothes that i could get from somewhere cheap like jc penny or forever 21

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was a young Courtney Love!

Extremely narcisstic photoshoot there. She looks like vapor has literally stolen her soul. Is she trying to be cool? If so, she tries too hard. Courtney Love is what she looks like now.

They looked so healthy as teens and now they look like drugged out hippies. Sad.
I met her on a flight from New York to LA and she was the sweetest person. She’s very tiny. She laughed when I told her to ‘HIDE’ when she went through revolving doors at airport, but thank the stars there was no one arround to hound her when we left baggage claim.

too many editorials have already covered the “alien” look. everything mary-kate does has already been done. i don’t know why she gets all the credit for doing something unoriginal.

It’s a photoshoot. Photoshoots for certain magazines are like acting roles. There is a theme , costumes and makeup to go with the theme.
So, I know a lot of people have strong opinions of the Olsen twins. I’m pretty indifferent to them. But what I want to know is where the hatred of them comes from. I mean on a scale of reprehensible acts: Olsen Twins vs. Octo Mom? Olsen Twins vs. Paris Hilton (dropping the ‘F’ and ‘N’ bomb on video). So do people hate them because they think their ugly? Come on, they’re not THAT bad looking. Maybe a 6. Anyway, the photos look pretty good. She (whichever one it is) looks like Stevie Nicks in the bottom photo.

She had something to do with Heath Ledger’s overdosing, either she or her “handlers” made the drugs available. She should be further investigated and taken down for that act alone. She’s an idiotic bimbo who, YES, does look like a troll!

Wasn’t there a brief moment in time, when they were like 17 or so, that it seemed like the Olsens twins were going to be cool people? What happened? I can’t stand either one of them.
As for rumors Mary Kate supplied Heath with drugs, he was a grown man. No Olsen twin forced him to use drugs.
