Maggie and husband Peter Sarsgaard joined the cast of the Anton Chekhov play a few months ago.
Synopsis: Chekhov’s drama is a mixture of farce and anguish, hopeless infatuations, old grudges and ironic humor. A man and his niece have spent their lives caring for the country estate of a writer they regard as a great man. But when it becomes apparent, during one of the writer’s infrequent visits, that he’s really a failure and a nobody, Uncle Vanya and his niece painfully awaken to the fact that their lives have been wasted.

Not entirely true, “shudder”. They come from a family in the business and that gave them a boost into it all. She has not been terribly successful, probably because she is not a “looker.” But he has done quite well, because his pictures, or enough of them, have done well. The one about the new ice age was very profitable. And he got an Oscar nomination for Brokeback. So you can’t say his success is entirely due to his family. He has carried his career on his own.
Daily Telegraph (London) reports that she is taking him along on a lavish trip by private plane to Egypt to inspect the mummies and antiquties there. One can only presume that he will notice that she is alive and different, and that might even stimulate him to some action. In any case, it will give them topics for pillow talk, like “do you think Ramses III was a better Pharoh than Amenhotep II?”
It might also allow her to broach some touchy topics indirectly, like asking him “Do you really think Akhenaten might have been gay?”
She is the ugliest celebrity. EVER. I cringe when I look at her.
My god you guys can be so nasty. I think Jake is a sweet, sensitive guy who is down to earth loves his family and i am pretty sure he loves Reece. I dont think this charade would be going on for so long. she is a mother and would not put her children through this!! the kids getting to know him, and being part of their family i dont think their dad (ryan) would allow it. I hope Jake marries and has children of his own i am sure he will make a great dad.

He never looks like he’s having a good time with Reese, she is dull she can’t help it that’s just how she is. She does seem like it’s HER way or the HIGHWAY. Of course I don’t know her but he seems happier in these photos and dressed a bit more stylish as well.

I am from australia Hortensia and have never heard of the word beard!!! Jake has been looking sad for the last year. it could be the death of his good friend Heath Ledger and also the divorce and financial situation his parents are in. I just think he is too young to be involved with an already family and all the baggage that goes with it. Whether he is gay or straight is his right and it would be sad to think that he needs to go through all this crap for his career, we love him and i will still go and see his movies whether he is gay or straight.

Well I doubt Jake is sad. He probably is not happy about his parents, and he probably wishes his movies made more money, but it is pretty obvious he and Reese get along well and enjoy each other’s company. They would not spend as much time together as they do were it only for show. She also has lots of money so they can live very well. I doubt he has many things to be sad about. I think you may be projecting.
I think Jake is losing his patient with paps because of Reese.
Problems he has, of course, but I think he´s getting well although troubled parents divorce.
I;ve got something to tell people who can’t think straight. Jake’s affair with Reese proves beyond a doubt that he is not gay. Why? Well Reese could not possibly want to risk her reputation if he were. That is to say, if he were to eventually come out or be outed, she would appear an utter fool. And fool is not what she is interested in seeming to be. So you can be sure she knows he is NOT gay or she would NOT be involved with him. Use you brains, if you have any. Stupidos.

Yeah, I have to say that I am finished with the “Jake is gay; Reese is his beard” nonsense. It is so stupidly ilogical that it is completely untenable and clearly false. She values her reputation and would not risk trashing it by being found to have been a “beard”. People in the inside in Hollywood know who is gay and who is not and she knows Jake is not and that is why she is willing to be linked to him. If he were gay she wouldn’t touch him with a thousand mile pole.
I have never once thought that jake is gay!!! Just because he is gorgeous, sensitive, respects women. has the best body and those blue eyes does not make him gay. There has never been an indication that he likes blokes, just because he played a gay role its ridiculous to think he is gay. But more than anything Reese would not be involed in such a farce. Just because her husband dumped her that doesnt mean she has to pretend to have a relationship. They both have needs so what have they been doing for the last 2 years to satisfy their needs with the paparazzi always all over them????? they are both straight and in love with each other.
