Gayle King Rejects Chris Brown’s Apology

Gayle King, aka Oprah’s BFF, has rejected Chris Brown’s apology.

She tells Extra, “Right now I can’t think of anything that makes me support anything that Chris Brown is saying at this time. And my heart just aches for Rihanna.”

Gabrielle Union adds, “I know them both. Unfortunately, no one knows all the facts yet…What I think is great about this unfortunate situation is it can get us talking about violence…Violence is never the answer. It’s good to get that dialogue started. I wish this wasn’t the catalyst for that…It’s never good to use violence as a means to an end.”

Akon encouraged Rihanna: “Keep doing what you’re doing baby. Keep things positive! She’s a strong woman. I think she’ll get through it….”

Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku gave her two cents, saying, “Any way, shape or form of domestic violence is inexcusable in my book.”

GLOW I COULDNT HAVE AGREED WITH YOU MORE.HOW RANDOM IS SHE TO COME OUT OF THE BLUE AND SAY SHE DONT ACCEPT HIS APOLOGY IT WASNT FOR HER TO ACCEPT IN THE FIRST PLACE.ONCE AGAIN TO PROVE MY POINT CELEBS SPEAKING ABOUT SOMETHING THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH AND NOT MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS.

21 i agree with you . imean who the hell is that woman anyway . did he hit you no riri can speark for herself. 38 i really agree because we want to see how bad he hit rihanna. 40 mainly whatever she is . she not who was hit . so is need to shut up about it . like i say riri can speark for herself . she is 20 or 21. i.d.k. hope it ends easy . if not chris don`t drop the soap . serious DONT DROP THE SOAP !
fedup 42 yes im with you on this one

Violence is never acceptable and that’s the truth. But I do take issue with this Gayle King who is best known for whom she is best friends with. Who is she to pass judgment on a young man that is in the middle of this controversy? Let’s give the poor guy the benefit of the doubt here. Frankly, I’m sure he is sorry for what has happened. Let’s hope he gets help before this type behavior becomes part of his everyday life. I want him to come out the other side where he can speak out to other young men about this problem. If what is says is true about his stepfather and mother’s relationship then I am sure he was shocked to know this came out of him towards a person he was suppose to care about. If no other reason I’m sure he is sorry because this can hurt his life and career.

I’m not downplaying the situation for Rhianna as I’m sure this was very traumatic and humiliating for her. I hope she not only recovers physically but emotionally too. Both these people are young. They have their lives and careers ahead of them and I hope this event will strengthen them both. My complaint is with Ms King who isn’t even giving this young man a fighting chance. What does she want him to do? Where does she expect him to start but with some professional help? Don’t knock the guy down before he has proven he is beyond help. What good will that do?

F**k Gayle King, her and Oprah should shut the **** up. Chris Brown may be an ******* but Gayle and Oprah are the most sexist people in the world

forgiveness is key.

no one knows what actually happened so stop with all your **** talking until it’s clear.

When you grow up seeing your mom get knocked around,
and pretending that it never happened, or acting all lovey dovey
with the man doing the pushing,
you wonder who the crazy one is, you or them.

After a while you sort of put the pieces of the puzzle together,
and unfortunately it appears that the fights are actually
for-play to the loving that comes after.

Does that sound crazy?
Well, that is because it is crazy.

The more sense that a child tries to make of it,
the crazier the puzzle seems. (IMO)

It is like saying “nothing is wrong!!,”
when you know darned well that something is very wrong.

As time marches on, no one in the home knows WHAT
is normal, and what is not normal.

Is this normal?
Is what I feel normal?
Is what I think normal?
Is what I say normal?

Should I hit?
If I do not hit, is something wrong with me?
Why is hitting wrong? I keep forgetting.

The feeling of anxiety might feel more normal
than the feeling of dullness or calm.

(Just thinking outloud. Pay no attention to me.)

I agree with Kelly, above, 100 per cent.

I am crazy about Chris Brown and Rihanna.
They are so cute and so talented.

I will be so glad when they put this all behind them,
and everything returns to normal.

First the fighting, then the making up, and then the honeymoon
phase, and with counseling and anger management,
this pattern will never be repeated, and longlasting trust
and faithfulness can proceed….(IMO)

Gayle king need to hop off Oprah’s ****…dat ***** need 2 shut up!!no one cares about what you think.

Get well Riri!! I’m not condoning what Chris did to Riri, but c’mon lots of entertainers, athletes, and a few actors in show business has physically abused women like Chris Brown. According to tabloid mags a few years ago, actor Jeremy or Jason London was physically abusing his girlfriend! He beat her up and she landed in the hospital! James Brown has been arrested for physical abusing one of his late wives! Rocker Billy Idol punched out a fan according to reports years ago. Late great guitar extraordinaire Jimi Hendrix also punched out and physically abused women according to reports and who could forget Ike Turner and how he beat poor Tina Turner to the point she had to get reconstructive surgery on her nose. He broke it several times! Wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin physically abused his ex wife and manager Debra!!!Counseling can curb such destructive behavior, Chris can rise above this, if he really needs to be healed of this behavior. Unfortunately Chris will not be the first or the last in show business to exhibit such destructive behavior!

The sad part about physical abuse is, most men don’t care to be counseled. They feel they can control themselves without counseling. They really have to want that desire to be better men or women,to want to be healed of that destructive behavior. I hope Chris gets help and many other people for this type of behavior or someone can get hurt or killed.

lol, all these stupid teens who are defending Chris Brown must either grew up in a house where beating women was the norm…or their pathetic hormones speaks for them. Whether we don’t know the facts or not….the facts are:

1. The police have charged Chris Brown with battery abuse

2. The police could not charge him with more serious crime since there are no recording that shows he threatened to kill her

3. Like the COWARD Chris is….he run away from the scene of the crime, leaving his girlfriend injured until some stranger called 9-11

4. the only reason we know it was Rihanna is thanks to Los Angles Times who released her name

5. the day Rihanna’s beat-up face from police record comes out….is the day Chris career ended for good.

………………………………………….ACCEPTED!!

Wow cyndi, if teens are stupid what age group is gullible?

All that information is hear say. According to the police the alleged victim is still unidentifiable. Don’t you know the 90% of what news says are lies?
Yes the stories may be true, but the information is over-exaggerated so gullible readers like yourself will continue to feed off of it.
There is no proof of the extent of damages to rihanna. In no means am I offending CB, but you need to get your facts straight before you start throwing judgment around.

Here I am a stupid teen. HA. I guess you prove teens aren’t the only stupid ones.
P.S. work on the spelling and gremmer. I feel like I’m responding to a 1st grader

DANIELLE: I’d have to agree with Cyndi. The LA Times identified Rhianna through her real name which is listed in the police report ie Robin Fenty. There is no denying that CB beat up Rhianna. There is photographic evidence taken at the scene of the crime. Her injuries are listed in the police report as well. A resident of that area made the 911 call when he observed/heard Rhianna’s screams. Chris was charged and posted bail. I agree that we don’t know why he did this, but is there really any justification? Does knowing details make what he did alright? His apology is insincere. It’s a pathetic attempt to maintain some of his more gullible and ignorant fans. His PR team tried all week to disparage Rhianna by spreading false rumors. They tried to insinuate that she somehow “deserved it or provoked him”. When they realized that their tactics were backfiring, and that he was losing fans in droves, they trotted out his family. When this didn’t work, they forced their cash cow to spew out some b.s. apology. Too bad most of us will still not support CB or his music. THERE IS NEVER ANY JUSTIFICATION FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

*you might want to use spell check as well.

I never said what her did was right.
Did you not read what was posted. I see we have another gullible reader on our hands. No wonder the newspaper makes so much money. Ha
I used spellcheck sweetheart. I can tell you didn’t though. Look at the kettle calling the pot black.

Chris is a condemned man ever if he didn’t touch her, if he does time he will still be a condemned man. To me he is a kid and he has to learn from his mistakes and to be given a chance to in the media spotlight.
She has made a police report, he’s been questioned if the police want to charge him they will. That’s the process let it happen, what do you want him too do. All these celebrity getting media attention from such a horrible situation are just as bad. Like they don’t have a past they would like to forget or get out.

I want sexy time with chris brown

Diana Meriden / amanda @ 02/17/2009 at 7:50 am

Who really cares what Gayle think, what has she to do with it anyway?

In any case, I believe we’ll haveto hear what Chris Brown has to say and what Rihanna says before making judgements. It’s really easy to judge people without knowing anything really happened.

fedup 51 competely agree some celebs who dont even know people .and never been on a track with or had a real chat with these people thats why i.d.k why they get in people`s buzzins . 1/2 of thesse people just can come so dawn rodom . i dont even known they . trhats how crazy people can get. if i were her i would shut the **** up about it.
how you them apples whatever your is .
XOXO
Dina P

Insane people defending this *******

This is certainly an unfortunate situation and I hope Chris has learned a lot from this. You can’t forget, but you can learn and become a better person.

Just because a man hit a woman does not mean he is nothing. Stop talking about that young man, for all you know she could have hit or done something to him. There are a lot of low down woman in this world that feels like if you hit me I’ll tell. Men can be abused also. Men feel like they don’t have anyone that they can talk to about a woman beating them.
Just pray for both of them and stop trying to take sides.

Piss on chris @ 02/17/2009 at 9:26 am

anyone sticking up for Punk-ass Brownstain deserves to be torn apart like the n****s they are! That means YOU- FEB UP!!!!!

How about I beat YOUR worthless b*tch-ass then? See how YOU like it!!!!
