Angelina Jolie To Transform Into Mangelina
Classic-in-black Angelina Jolie shops around for apartments in New York City on Monday (February 16).
The 33-year-old actress is moving her brood back to New York to film her upcoming spy flick, Edwin A. Salt. In the movie, Angelina films a scene as a CIA agent forced to go undercover as a man. Her undercover alter ego is Major Vicek, whose mission is to infiltrate The White House.

An insider tells Life & Style, “I’m sure she’ll give Brad [Pitt], who aged in reverse in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a run for his money in the makeup department.”

I love watching Brad’s movies, because I know his performance is excellent every time… for example, in the trailer for his new natzi movie the way he’s portraying to be the drill sergeant is so right on target because his voice is so powerful !!! Great actor!

* Remember that action movie for which Angelina Jolie replaced Tom Cruise as the star? It’s called “Salt,” and residents of The Grinnell, one of Harlem’s great buildings, might get an eyeful of Jolie and the rest of the cast and crew. In postings in the building’s elevator areas, location scouts are seeking an apartment for Jolie’s character, an American spy on the lam after she was wrongly accused of being a Russian double agent out to kill the President. What better place to hide out than in a huge, historic Harlem building on Riverside Drive and 158th St. with 10-room apartments and an interior courtyard? Unfortunately, the Pitt-Jolie clan will be living in a Long Island mansion during filming, so we won’t have many Pitt with kids sightings in Central Park.

Locations for new Jolie film sought locally

Hollywood is sizing up the Hudson Valley as a possible location for “Salt,” a new Columbia Pictures spy flick, directed by Philip Noyce.
In an effort to secure the gig, the Hudson Valley Film Commission (HVFC) has been hunting down empty fields, empty lots, hunting lodges, and deserted industrial complex, among a long list of locations that might suit the director’s vision.
The movie, originally entitled “Edwin A. Salt,” stars Angelina Jolie, who replaced Tom Cruise in the role of a C.I.A. agent suspected as a Russian spy. Screenwriter Kurt Wimmer will rework the script to suit the female lead.
The HVFC promotes filmmaking in the Hudson Valley and attracts filmmakers from around the world. The organization is seeking several specific venues for this film.
“Salt” will require a wooded compound, with several buildings; a deserted industrial complex; an expansive rundown field; and empty lot with dirt roads or paths and a cracked sidewalk; a small blue-grey house with a lawn.
The HVFC’s search has caught local attention. The Millbrook Business Association (MBA) has circulated the information to its members. “We’re looking at it with an eye towards providing information to the Hudson Valley Film Commission,” said MBA Vice President DeForest Howland. “There are a lot of interesting places around here.”

Hello everyone, snuck back in and saw the new AJ in NYC pix. Thanks to all who posted. She looks fantastic. Years ago, pre-Brad — Angelina used to have an apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan (w. 79th I think) but I don’t know if she sold it since for the last several years, the papers always mention her staying at the Waldorf Astoria whenever she’s in NYC. Anyway, the street behind her looks like WEA on UWS so maybe she still keeps her old apt.

At the moment former Senator Phil Gramm is in the hotseat. During his last term in the Senate in the 90s he authored and pushed through an act to repeal a law from the Depression era that regulated the amount and type of debts banks could take on.

When do these people take responsibility for the fact that they were not only in control but had sufficient time to see the problems and take evasive action and didn’t?? I mean, we make decisions every day, based on what we know and what we know we don’t know.

But as we execute the decisions we make, we start to gain more information, and we adjust ourselves, doing a U turn if required, coming to a screeching halt, if required, so that we don’t hit the wall.

If we inherit a situation, we still have the responsibility to manage it after our inheritance and not blame it on the previous decision maker. Of course, in running a company, or a country, we need time to make the changes, change the direction of where a culture is headed. But if after 8 years or 4, you’ve taken a company from bad to worse, there is no more blaming the past. I truly believe it’s a simple as that.
