Anne Hathaway To Open Oscars With Hugh Jackman
Oscar nominee Anne Hathaway will reportedly sing and dance her heart out in a flashy opening number with host Hugh Jackman at the 2009 Oscars ceremony this Sunday!
An insider tells Life & Style, “Anne is rehearsing at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood today!”
Yesterday, it was announced that Beyoncé is also performing during the ceremony as well as on-and-off-screen couples Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) and Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!).
The 81st Academy Awards will air on ABC @ 8PM on Sunday, February 22 from the the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center.

Ha I think my favorite part about Zac & Vanessa performing besides what a wonderful opportunity this is for them, is all the uptight and some unintelligent “haters” going crazy and enraged. Seriously I love that this is pissing them off so much. Hey the more you ***** and moan and the more “pain” it causes you, the more I will just LOL. Enjoy your bitter existence it provides me with laughs.
Amazing how with all things going on in the world, an award show for the richest & somewhat useless members of society (despite my love for some of them) having the gazillionth party of the year to pat themselves on the back, is what people get so wound up about. Gee the Horror the Horror! the precious parade of fame and money might get blemished by “evil” youngsters. Oh humanity.

And Kenny Ortega has nothing to do with who or what will be on the Oscar show. Some of you really have got to have better information and keep up with things if you are going to come on JJ and do a convincing insult and slur. You guys need to know more than the fans if you hope to pull a believable insult.

you know why Oscar want Zanessa to be there because in the last 2 years of Oscar when there a lot of “A lister” the rating of the show is too low aside from it so boring, so because of the Charisma of Zac and vanessa around the world they decided to have them in this year OSCAR. Go ZANESSA will be praying for you.
you know people all of us have talent but the problem is we dont know how to use that talent but these two they worked to hard to pursue what they have now.at least they can dance and sing what’s the problem.i never watch oscar show but these sunday i have to watch it .

Being talented also in singing and dancing doesnt make one a singer or a dancer, and Anne knows it more than well. She is an amazingly adorable actress and a really radiant woman. I’m her man.
#88, don’t be concerned, she’s managed to find time to star in a movie that debuted as #1 in the world, do several photoshoots, film another movie, do promo tour and rehearse for the Oscars.
She’s great at multi-tasking, don’t you think?
Yeah, we know she’s hot but you really should remove that picture as your screensaver, you’ll feel better about yourself then.

Hugh Jackman has confirmed that ZV and the mamma mia cast (A&D) will be doing a number with him. He said he conceptualized the number and Baz directed. I like that he brought in performers from the big musicals of 2008. I’ll post the link as soon as I get it.

They have turned the Oscars into a joke!
Last year Miley was so out of her element and this year it’s Efron and Slutgens.
Wonder how people who filmed some of these movies for over months and finally see it produced on screen the next year feel about sharing the stage with two kids who starred in a cheesy 6 week production from the set to the screen. That’s hollywood!
Also how bad do all the other kids from HSM feel when they are just cast aside for Mr. Dreamboat and his Troll gf?
Is it true Vanessa Hudgens will be doing her famous pole dance at the Oscars? She is so not worthy to share the stage with the rest of those actor.
#82 - my sentiments exactly. there is a little bit too much angst going on about a show that has actually no real significance in the real world where 95% of the population lives in poverty. i believe all of you will still wake up monday morning and find your lives are still carrying on as normal no matter who hosts the oscars and who joins hugh jackman on the stage to entertain us for a few minutes in a musical number. get over it already.

seriously people what is all the fus about? they are just two actors who want to take advantage of the offers they are getting. if i got invited to perform at the OSCARS then i would deffo say yes. and dosent it say something about them that they are always getting invited to all these big events?
Hopefully Hugh is funny and lightens up the mood. The Oscars can get a little boring at times.
