What exactly do you mean she is not “worthy”? It is obvious you are making—what you think is a sly reference—to the great Vanessa Hudgens’ “scandal” that the majority of people got over long ago. But many of those “legends” sitting ou there in that audience can only wish they had such a mild happening in THEIR past. And the great Kate Winslet is even nominated for a role in which she has no clothes on and nobody swiped that picture for all the world to see. She willingly took her clothes off to be filmed and got PAID for it and has done it many times. So, you are making a young girl seem awful for doing something in her own private surroundings that were never meant to be seen by anyone and now you are trying to say she is no longer worthy to be among people like are going to be in that audience? Oh, you need to take the blinders off your eyes. Many in that audience have done far worse in their private and pubic lives.

Everyone has to start somewhere. i think it speaks volumes that Zac and Van’s movie grossed over 3 mil. worldwide. They have something to offer the industry and just need to be given a chance to do something other than disney. It is coming and producers are already recognizing their abilities. I am so glad that these two will get to showcase their ability to perform live. They will do great, and I can’t think of a better deserving pair to represent young hollywood.

Naomi, thanks for the video! This is so awesome. Though a lot of people (or are those just a few trying to stir up trouble with more identities. gosh, internet can be so easy at times, right haters?) on here don’t agree with me, Zac and Vanessa deserve it. As do Hugh, Anne, Beyoncé, Amanda and Dominic.

As for the haters, aren’t you getting a little immature? I was bored and took the time to read ALL of the comments and you can’t believe how much I saw the same arguments. HSM is crap, pull the teen/tween crowd, Vanessa took naked pictures. Fans don’t care about the latter anymore! And HSM was great. It’s good to see high school reflected in a squeaky clean way. I’m right now in my high school years. Yeah, HSM doesn’t show the reality, but it shows how everyone wants their high school experience to be. And like a few others already pointed out, the movies got a lot of viewers (1 and 2) and pulled in a heap load of money (3).

Ease up on them, okay? And by the way, why is almost nobody reacting to Amanda and Dominic’s performance? They’re great performers as well.

Can’t wait. I will definitely find time to watch it.

I love Anne Hathaway! But seriously, what with the Disnet stars going to the Oscars? Yeah, yeah I know they need to boost the ratings but it’s just weird.

I am so excited that Zac and Vanessa are going to perform at the Oscars

Look, Anne started out with Disney and she is going to be there doing her thing on Oscar night BECAUSE—if you are too dense—she is NOMINATED FOR BEST ACTRESS. So, this insulting of anyone who has done anything for Disney and who are young is is just asinine.

All of you haters are seriously pathetic. No matter what you say, these two are going to be making waves, just your childish comments prove that. They are talented, humble and amazing young people, with huge sucess behind them and only more to come. Malia is right most of you just sound like idiots trying to bark back, when in actual fact you are wrong, and ZV performing at the Oscars, their movie being number one, many more offers and movies in the pipeline and the fact that they are just amazing and genuine people in all the Hollywood grime, proves that. You can shout all you want, but it’s still going to happen. Go cry, it might make you feel better. Let’s face it, Z and V don’t see any of the crap you post and they are going to continue to live their lives and you all meanwhile are still going to be wallowing in hate.

For eveyone’s information. Zac and V are not Disney stars, they just stared in a Disney movie, a very very sucessful one at that. Prior to that, V did mostly independent films, and so did Zac, alongside Summerland. Now, they are done with Disney, and this performance has nothing to do with Disney anyway. The Oscar guys know what’s good and ZV are it, along with all the others performing too. Zac is a very talented and charasmatic guy, and moreover, he is a nice person too, he isn’t fake or pretentious, or mean, he and Van are a loving couple, who are about as normal as you can get. Vanessa is truly stunning, an amazing person, who cares about her friends and family and has the potential to be huge in both movies and the fashion world. They are both truly awesome people. If you want to hate on them, go right ahead. There are plenty, and I mean plenty, of people who support them, and we are all laughing in your faces. These to have ‘it’, so go cry about it. Because lets face it, detractors are only futher reason to suceed, and suceed they will.

I’m so sick of the elitist nonsense that I’m seeing being posted about “Zac and Vanessa not being Oscar-worthy.” First off they are not nominated for anything (although Zac does have “17 Again” and “Me and Orson Welles” and Vanessa has “Bandslam” so maybe next year) they are going to be performing and Zac is apparently going to be presenting the Award for Best Song. And I understand that Hugh Jackman conceptualized the routine specifically with the stars of “High School Musical” and “Mama Mia” (Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper) in mind. So apparently he feels they are “worthy” of sharing the stage with him.

Let’s stop acting like the Oscars which I love and never miss are some highbrow telecast designed for the intelligentsia. Last year Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill were presenters. And what movies were their claim to fame? “Knocked Up” and “Superbad”, two movies which I enjoyed throughly but works of provocative medatative intellectualism they are not. For crying out loud Robert Downey Jr (a fine actor to be sure) is nominated for “Tropic Thunder!” Now there’s a classy work of art for ya. So KNOCK IT OFF.

You are so right, troy. The reason they are trying to infuse some youth into these awards is because they’re too “elitist” and boring. Frankly, I have usually not see most of the nominated flicks anyway, so I find them extremely boring and way too lengthy. Woo-hoo, for someone who had the smarts to realize that what they were doing WASN’T WORKING!!!!

And geez, they’re just performing……so people need to just shut up.

To all the snobs here, you can wrench all you want but it will never change the fact Zac and my dear Vanessa are performing with some finest actors at the Oscars. They didn’t gate crash their way in but they were INVITED. Apparently, Hugh Jackman knows their gift in musical than other “serious and worthy” (as you want to call them) actors can not do to that extent.

Also, It’s just amusing too see your tantrums for just this. Seriously they are not trying to steal the thunder from your so called A-list for pete’s sake! And yup, i’m sad for all you but us fans are in so much joy right now and we will savor this until Sunday comes.
