Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens — Oscars 2009

HSM sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens keep close together on the red carpet as they attend the 2009 Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (February 22).

Vanessa, 20, looks elegant in a gorgeous Marchesa gown. Zac, 21, suited up in a Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo and accessorized with a vintage Rolex watch and Bally shoes.

The on-and-off-screen couple will join host Hugh Jackman, Mamma Mia! stars (and real-life couple) Amanda Seyfreid and Dominic Cooper, Beyonce and Anne Hathaway during the ceremony tonight for a special performance.

I loved seeing Zanessa. They make the perfect couple. I do kind of agree that it’s weird/random that they were at the Oscars but it was just as weird to see Miley Cyrus there too. It’s not like they (Zanessa) invited themselves though. They were there for a reason. I thought Vanessa looked gorgeous as usual and so did Zac.

They have every right to be there, hence why they were asked to attend. You may not like that, but you better get used to the idea beacause they are here to stay. Hollywood needs new blood, new talent, and these two along with Rob, Amanda, Emile and Dev..plus many others, are it. I mean if you don’t care so much why comment, its pathetic. These two, and the cast of HSM, have made more of an impact of Pop culture than most of the actors present, HSM is a phenomenon, the world over. Deal with it.

Their performance was beautiful, Zac has an amazing voice and V is just perfection. I love how they held onto each other, and looked at each other the entire time, you could tell they were in awe and it was so cute to see. They are two very humble individuals. Beautiful inside and out. I’m so proud of them.

What is so weird/random about Zac and Vanessa being at the Oscars? Beyonce was there and she hasn’t done anymore movies—less in fact—than Z&V. Also, if you noticed the song was about the MUSICAL and that genre of movie. Z&V just got done with a musical that made more than a quarter of a million dollars! The certainly were worthy of this honor and Hugh Jackman nor Beyonce were making fun of it.

I wasn’t very pleased with what they chose to wear.
For her, she looks gorgeous but the dress is a little too much for her, they fishtail made her look shorter then she already is and the flowers are kind of tacky.
For him, he looks greasy and the tux is plain looking. A vest would have made it look a little better.
But yeah, otherwise they look very cute.
