Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens: Oscars Rehearsals!

Robert Pattinson? he just made some hit-movie and then he’s got all this star-power! Then, why he’s even going there, OMG!

I am happy to see these two young adults coming into their own. They were the stars of a successful film and will draw in the viewers the Oscars has been desperately lacking the past few years. It is time for old Hollywood to start handing off the reigns to the younger generation.

As for the Oscars being invaded by Disney, I would like to remind you that Disney is one of the MAJOR studios and has a knack for developing movies that make money. Many of Hollywood’s elite came from humble beginnings - Anne Hathaway was a Disney princess first, George Clooney was the goofy hunk on Facts of Life way back when, Tom Hanks was a cross dresser on Bussom Buddies, Meg Ryan and Julianne Moore were both once regulars on the soap opera As The World Turns, and Brad Pitt once acted along side cartoon cartoon characters in Cool World. Don’t count out Zac and Vanessa because the HSM franchise made them household names. They have both worked hard to get where they are and from the list of people I mentioned (and I could go on for days with it) we will likely see them nominated for their own Oscars one day.

You people are such drama queens! Get a grip! The Academy Awards are about 4 hours on average (too freakin’ long if you ask me). Zac and Vanessa’s performance is probably no longer than 10 minutes and they won’t be the only ones on stage. That’s hardly enough time for them to do some serious damage to the show.

The worst that could happen is that they forget their words or dance steps, or both. And even if that happens, the Oscars won’t come to a crashing halt, and the world won’t end, I promise! Personally, I’m just happy to see them shedding those Disney images. Here’s hoping they have a really sexy dance number ready for us!

Please, people! It about time the oscars got entertaining. Zac and Vanessa have more fans worldwide than many of the actors nominated put together. They’ll draw a big crowd and compliment Hugh Jackman’s appeal. Like it or not, the HSM franchise had brought back the appeal of muscials to the younger generation. All you haters know you were watching Grease and singing along. Just because you’re too cool now to admit that, shouldn’t give you the right to hate on Zac and Vanessa. If you think he can’t act, check out his Lifetime Movie, Miracle Run and then make your judgements!
